We recently stayed at Hoi A Beach Resort for a week and overall, it was just average. The best part of our experience was the staff — they were warm, friendly, and eager to help. Unfortunately, the resort itself didn’t live up to expectations. Our room smelled musty and the decor felt old and worn out. The kids’ pool had visible dirt and rust, which was disappointing though we still used it during our stay. The beach was also underwhelming — large sandbags lined the shore, and there was construction happening just off the coast, which made it far from relaxing. We even came across dog poop in the sand, which was off-putting and not something you’d expect at a resort. We ordered room service a few times during our stay, mostly for convenience with our two-year-old. After trying the Vietnamese dishes the first time and finding them pretty underwhelming, we stuck to ordering pizza, which was at least a reliable option for our toddler. Additionally, the location is a bit inconvenient — about a 12–15 minute ride into town, which added up if you wanted to explore regularly. While we appreciated the kind service, we wouldn’t stay here again; we’d recommend staying closer to the old town for easier access to restaurants, shops, and the charming atmosphere — and just commuting to one of the public beaches on the days you want some sand and sun. The 3-star rating is purely thanks to the wonderful service we received. If I were rating the resort itself on its condition, amenities, and overall experience, it would be closer to 2 stars. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Great price point for a resort but beware of the following: the resort is right on a busy road. We changed rooms because it was like trying to sleep next to a highway. Also their air conditioning hardly works at all, you can't adjust temperature below 17 even though the room still feels like 25. We got an extra fan for the room and it was still too hot. The beds are old and way too soft. They're squishy and they absorb a lot of heat. Also the hotel had a big event (really loud kareoke) the night before we had to wake up at 5 am for a flight. I wish they had given us some warning about this. Perhaps we would have stayed somewhere else on our last night because it was really irritating. The beach and pool/river are amazing. The food is just okay. Good location. Free shuttle to and from old Hoi An throughout the day, which was nice. Service overall was very good.

Wonderful resort. Opposite beach with 2 pools to choose from. One pool has a toddler pool which receives full afternoon shade. Bed comfortable. Room is a great size. Breakfast has plenty of options. Poolside service very good. Only negative is l asked for a room that was not facing main road/beach. This was not accommodated and l am not sure if it was because of the type of room l purchased (Grand Deluxe). Hence several times during our 15 night stay we had thumping music blaring from the beach. Even with double glazed glass that could still be heard. Traffic noise was very muted and did not bother me. Rooms facing river l assume would be much better. Resort is well maintained and with Resort deck chairs, shade and Bar on the beach you had plenty of options. Free shuttle into and out of Old Town at set times is available however a Grab car will cost around AUD $4 for 4 people. I highly recommend if you wish to be away from Old Town and close to a beach. Wonderful local restaurants nearby within walking distance for great meals.

We had a wonderful stay at Hoi An Beach Resort, and we want to give special thanks to the amazing manager, Anh. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care truly made our visit memorable. Anh went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after. Her attention to detail and personal approach stood out, and it’s clear she is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. Because of Anh, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hoi An Beach Resort to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Anh, for your kindness and for making our time in Hoi An so special!

I had a lovely time at Hoi A Beach Resort in a very comfortable and spacious river view room. All the staff were friendly and helpful - and the location is great - with the beach just across the road, and plenty of shops and restaurants very close by, providing everything that you could need. It is easy to get to the old town using the shuttle bus provided, or by taxi if you prefer more flexibility. I would love to come back! Only one comment - the bathroom would benefit from a little bit of refurbishment
