We really enjoyed our say in October 2023 at HM Tropical. The rooms were comfortable and with a beautiful view. The staff was extremely helpful. We took the half-board option and I must say that the cuisine was great. We particularly enjoyed Paella and the Japanese catering evening. Special mention to Carlos, Cati and team at the restaurant: you were absolutely wonderful. We will recommend Tropical Hotel to our friends. Many thanks

Overall a nice visit to the HM Tropical. We stayed on a half board basis in a side room sea view for a week. The hotel is on the sea front, reasonably quiet with a few restaurants nearby and the beach is beautiful with sunbeds you can hire. Food: Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of food on offer - continental, hot food, pancakes, fruits, cereal and yoghurts. Evening dinner was buffet style with various options and on the whole satisfactory. My only complaint is that you have to pay for water with your meal, which personally I think water should be available for free. I don't object to paying additionally for wine etc. Restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient. The room: We had a side room sea view double. The room was not large, but was spacious enough for us. The en-suite was clean and the shower provided plenty of hot water, a hairdryer is supplied in the bathroom. Bath towels were provided daily. There was often a sewer smell though from the bathroom which meant we had to leave the window open at all times. There was a wardrobe with a safe in the room, however, there was a charge of £3.50 per day to use it! This seems steep when you are paying £250 per night for the room. It should be free. The balcony and view was somewhat disappointing. from the room looking out you could only see the road and the back of the hotel sited opposite and a fair amount of traffic noise. However, if you sit on the balcony at the furthest point, you can see the sea, but we didn't use the balcony as glass all round and it didn't seem secure and the noise wasn't relaxing. The bar staff were excellent, very friendly and smiled throughout our stay. Reception were happy to help book tours and taxis. There is use of a holding room for suitcases to store luggage if you check out late in the day. There is also a shower room you can use before you leave, however, there are 2 cubicles for women and only 1 shower was working. There isn't really a space to get dried or dressed so had to use a toilet cubicle. No hairdryer was available either. All in all, a pleasant stay but there are some areas that need improvement as it did take away from the whole experience.

Horrible experience with this hotel. My husband and I booked through Expedia for our honeymoon months in advance. A week before our stay we got an email saying that the Hotel AM Alma hotel was shutting down and they would move us to this hotel at no cost. We kindly declined and asked for an immediate refund since they were not able to hold up their end of the deal (we specifically booked here because of it being adults only). They refused to give us a refund. This is absolutely appalling customer service.

Our second time here. The hotel is nice, location is perfect. Shop in the corner, its on the beachfront, 10 min from airport but not noizy. It’s far from the loudy party places, more calm area, rooftop is perfect for sunset. The staff is very nice, everybody smiling, but I need to highlight Miriam from the bar. She is professional, she is kind, she made our stay better, so thank you. :) See you next time.

Eclipse

There are better hotels for same/similar or lower price like Iberostar. Lunch food is of poor quality and high price. Breakfast is okay. View is good if you choose direct sea view. Rooms are very small and there are not enough room for all clothes in wardrobe. Location is good.
