I recently spent five wonderful nights here. Overall, it was an excellent stay and I would recommend. The Highlights: · Room & View: The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a truly wonderful seaview. · Staff & Service: The staff were consistently great, polite, professional, and helpful. When we noticed some toiletries were missing on the first day, a quick call to reception resolved the issue immediately. · Breakfast: The breakfast was truly excellent, with a vast and superb selection. While any breakfast can feel repetitive after five days, the quality and variety were outstanding. · Facilities: The hotel is large with impressive amenities. The health/fitness center has a heated indoor pool. It also features a squash or tennis court (I believe) · Location (The Pros): The location is prime for convenience and modern amenities. It feels like a vibrant city center, full of energy with a lot of great eateries, bars, and shops within easy walking distance. We especially enjoyed a wonderful Italian restaurant nearby. A Note on Location (Setting Expectations): It's important to set the right expectations for the area. St Julian is a modern, bustling hub. Compared to the historic, character-filled streets of a place like Valletta, it can feel a bit more generic and "sterile." This is not a drawback if you're looking for a lively, convenient base with easy access to dining and nightlife, but it lacks the old-world Maltese charm. Points to Consider for Future Guests: While the stay was fantastic, there are two minor points related to the hotel's layout and design that future guests might want to know: 1. Sauna Privacy: The sauna in the fitness center is quite small and, notably, has glass walls/windows facing a corridor. This means there is no privacy, as people walking by can see directly inside. 2. Room Location & Noise: My room was situated directly above the fitness center. The sound insulation was not sufficient to block the noise of weights being dropped or improperly placed by guests below. This was my only significant complaint. Additionally, the room was quite far from the elevator bank. Recommendation: This is a wonderful, full-service hotel in a buzzing, convenient location. For the best experience, I would suggest requesting a room that is not directly above the gym area and, if you have mobility concerns or prefer less walking, asking for a room closer to the elevators. Choose this hotel for its top-tier facilities, service, and modern convenience. If you're seeking a more authentic, historic Maltese atmosphere, you might prefer a property in Valletta or Mdina.

Wow, truly a lovely hotel. Before stepping into the hotel a beautiful scent. Welcoming staff smooth check in in a super lobby to look at whislt staff taking the time to explain all the facilities and how to get to the room. Arrived at the room opened the door to a well appointed suite. With stunning views. Super night sleep with pillows like clouds. Breakfast choice was excellent! I can honestly say if I was heading up the team of people here I would be super proud. All were friendly made conversation and nothing was to much. Kudos to all the staff at Hilton Malta. You can have an amazing hotel, room etc however the excperience can only be made by those in the business, keep doing what you are doing. I would return in a heartbeat! Thank you all

We checked out today after staying in room 217 and I felt compelled to leave this review because our experience at Hilton Malta was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff — from the porters to reception — was welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly. Our luggage was taken to the room promptly, and the room itself was ready on arrival, which we were very grateful for. We also had a lovely view overlooking the marina. Housekeeping maintained the room to a very high standard throughout our stay, with fresh towels provided daily. Any time we contacted reception — for example to request additional hangers — the service was incredibly efficient, with items delivered to our room within minutes, exactly as promised. The same applied to valet service: whenever we called ahead for the car, it was waiting for us by the time we reached reception. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding, with an excellent variety of high-quality food, including international options and traditional Maltese dishes. All staff throughout the hotel were consistently polite, attentive, and professional. We were also very impressed by the thoughtful personal touches. Chocolates were left in the room for the children on arrival, and on New Year’s Eve we returned to a lovely surprise of a small bottle of Prosecco and chocolates — a gesture that felt genuinely thoughtful and is something not many hotels do. We stay in five-star hotels regularly and travel frequently, and I can honestly say there was nothing at all to fault during our stay. We were extremely impressed and will definitely be returning. Thank you, Hilton Malta, we will be back 🙌🏻❤️👌

Probably the best choice in the area. The Hilton Malta is easily one of the best options around. The Westin is likely good too, but it’s slightly farther away. Marriott Resort & Spa probably has the best location overall, right by the sea, but they don’t have terraces directly over the water—though there are plenty of beaches right in front of it. If you’re staying in the off-season, Hilton is definitely the better choice. One of its biggest strengths is the location: it’s surrounded by upscale, posh buildings, so it feels safe and calm, far away from cheap dance music and noisy bars. The lounge bar is another highlight. It’s relaxed enough to just stroll into, yet stylish. The standing balcony has super-comfortable chairs and sofas, making it a perfect spot to hang out. Prices are very reasonable, and the lounge can be covered, which is ideal for Malta’s changeable winter weather. Today alone it rained four times, and having this space made a huge difference—it’s incredibly convenient and cozy. If it gets chilly, you can even go upstairs and grab a jumper. The swimming pool area is great too. When it’s warm, it feels almost like being at the beach, though in winter you probably won’t feel like swimming outdoors. I imagine it gets very busy in summer—the outdoor pool is huge. The indoor pool is beautiful, very clean, and the 20-meter length is perfect for proper swimming. Overall, a fantastic stay and a standout choice in the area, especially outside peak season.

A place you return to because of the people Our stay at Hilton Malta has been truly exceptional, and as we are leaving tomorrow, we already know one thing for certain — we will be back. From the very first moment, we felt surrounded by genuine hospitality, professionalism, and warmth. The wonderful atmosphere is present at every step — from the reception, through all hotel services, to the breakfast experience. Everything is well organized, elegant, and welcoming, but what truly makes this place special are the people. We would especially like to highlight Innocent, who coordinates the breakfast service. His professionalism, calm presence, attention to detail, and care for guests are outstanding. He ensured everything ran smoothly, always checking if guests were comfortable and satisfied. Thanks to him, mornings felt relaxed and perfectly taken care of. Although we don’t know all staff members by name, every single interaction confirmed that this hotel has an exceptional team. You feel truly welcomed, not just served. Hilton Malta became our personal “paradise on earth” — not only because of the beautiful location or high standards, but because of the people who create this place every day. Because it’s not the walls that make you want to return. It’s the people. Highly recommended — and we are already looking forward to our next stay.
