We had a truly wonderful stay at the Higueron Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Special thanks to Patricia at reception, who noticed it was my partner’s birthday and surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to a fabulous suite. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really set the tone for a memorable stay. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning! Stylish, modern, immaculately clean, and beautifully designed throughout. During our time at the Med restaurant, we were looked after brilliantly by Javier and Robert Rad. Both were incredibly friendly and attentive, even staying calm and professional during the unexpected Spain-wide power outage. They ensured we were comfortable and well taken care of, and the service remained excellent throughout. Another lovely surprise was returning to our room to find a birthday cake and cava waiting for us, such a special touch that we really appreciated. The only disappointment was that the power cut happened just as we arrived in the spa, so unfortunately we didn’t get to use it before leaving the next morning. Of course, this was beyond the hotel’s control, but the spa looked absolutely beautiful and we would have loved the chance to experience it. Overall, a fantastic stay in a breathtaking and spotless setting, with thoughtful service and great hospitality. We hope to return soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and would love to return one day! Our room was open, airy, clean, and beautiful with a lovely balcony view of the hillside and sea. Every member of the staff was kind, helpful, and professional. We especially appreciated the teams at the reception desk and restaurants. At the Med Restaurant, Robert gave superb recommendations and made our dinner an unforgettable Spanish meal.

Lovely stay but so many small things that if corrected could have made it so much better. Number of restaurants closed, spa is not included. Staff were not very attentive in the restaurant at night. Shuttle to beach club great idea but beach club was closed. Have feedback on departure but staff disinterested despite our early check out. In our opinion this hotel is geared for corporate guests. Also very remote with incredibly steep walk to any local shops / restaurants.

Right from the arrival to this hotel this was a remarkable experience. Samantha very kindly upgraded us to a suite. What a treat. Superb bed and the biggest we have ever seen. Shower was brilliant and so easy to operate. Beautiful balcony. A unique hotel experience for our one night stay. So wish we could have stayed longer. My wife fell on her way to breakfast, just on the last step down to the floor. The staff were wonderful and so attentive and kind. Managing Director even visited to see if she was okay or needed anything. Kindly left some bandages at the Reception for her. Outstanding all round. Thank you.

The short version: We had a fantastic stay and are already looking forward to our next trip here! The longer version: The hotel manages to combine a rare mix of gastronomy, lounge and sports / activities. It’s a beautiful place, set in lovely surroundings close to both the ocean and mountains. Every morning was spent playing tennis and padel with the kids (aged 8 and 5). The days were spent by the pool or making roadtrips along the coast where it feels like most places are within a 10-20 minute drive. The breakfast was fresh with a large assortment, the pool bar served a good gnocchi with truffle & drinks. We had dinner in nearby villages such as Mijas but I’m sure the hotels restaurants would have made us more than happy. All in all - we’re coming back!
