This was truly a 5-star experience. The views were great, the food was excellent, and the infinity pool was fantastic. This would have been perfect for a solo adventure or a couples vacation; sometimes bringing family could ruin the experience. I would recommend a solo venture here, or with your brother or the boys for a more enjoyable time. The hotel is pretty relaxing, and I overall liked my stay here. The nighttime live music is also great.

Didn’t realise Superior room (219) had no view of the lake. Definitely suggest anyone book Deluxe room for better experience. Food was excellent. Infinity pool was wonderful. Staff were super friendly. A great experience.

The hotel is isolated ( which we knew before booking) , so there is no where else to go to at night . However it has great architecture and very friendly staff. I think the rooms are a bit tired, eg toilet in our room could have had new seat. We had a great time watching a family of monkeys playing with each other for about half an hour from the vantage point of being in the level 2 pool. Also try the egg hoppers for breakfast, they have been the best on the trip so far.

We stayed 5 nights in this
unique hotel. After changing rooms on the day of arrival, we were given a very nice room. If you are a bit sensitive to noise, I recommend saying so and avoiding the east wing and letting the hotel know a few days in advance. In general the hotel is breathtaking, in one or two corners you could ask for renovation work, but it doesn't bother much. There are not many sun loungers and no umbrellas, which we think the hotel could actually improve. We did day tours offered by the hotel and it was super organized from A to Z and the drivers were all very friendly and spoke good English so they could tell us a lot during the trip. We also had a great massage - deep tissue massage - highly recommended. The food in the morning and evening was also delicious and the service very courteous. The homemade hoppers deserve a special mention - definitely try them! - and of course the curries.
Our Guest Relation Manager, Dominic Mariano, was available for us at all times and regularly asked if there was anything else he could do for us - he went above and beyond!!

I had a wonderful stay at this getaway. It helps to be mindful of the local controversy around this building when it was first considered. I appreciated the focus on the impact to the environment. The windows in the room framed the gorgeous landscape and provided a perfect connection to nature - birds and monkeys. The food was great, and the pools were spectacular, linking you visually to the lake in the distance. The service was excellent, making sure that my stay was nothing less than fully satisfied.
