This hotel was such an incredible experience. The scenery was so beautiful as well as the details throughout the hotel. Recommend the buffet dinner and grateful for the staff offering the outdoor seating. Everyone working there was so kind and with amazing attention to detail. I appreciated the slightly early check in when I arrived after a long drive, and the slightly later check out to make sure I was back in time to freshen up after visiting Sigiriya. (Also the star fruit juices were my favourite from my childhood - thank you for having them on the menu here!)

An incredible encounter. In the middle of a dense jungle, you can have a five-star experience. You might require at least two nights to explore the hotel and its surroundings. Delicious food, great hospitality with clean and quiet rooms

Our day at Heritance Kandalama Hotel was simply unforgettable. From the breathtaking views of the surrounding lush greenery and the serene lake to the exquisite architecture that seamlessly blends with nature, every moment was enchanting. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. We enjoyed a delicious meal at the hotel's restaurant, with flavors that delighted our taste buds. The infinity pool offered a perfect spot for relaxation, while the spa services left us feeling rejuvenated. Overall, it was a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. Highly recommended!

Excellent location by a large reservoir with picturesque views all round. Monkeys are close by in the grounds. Very peaceful with excellent facilities and food. The buffet in particular is excellent with a massive choice of different foods with chefs preparing and cooking food in front of you.

Such a spectacular resort!!! The location is the definition of off the beaten path. You have no idea of the gorgeous welcome you will receive at the end of a very long side road - by the resort with the outdoor reception area, to the smiling woman who brings a lotus flower to you. EVERYTHING about this resort is so well-considered and honours the beautiful land upon which it is built. The rooms and bathrooms are generously sized and beautiful beds super comfortable and EVERYWHERE you look, is the lush landscape or the lake or the adorable monkeys who visit. We are vegan and the food here was out of this world. There was a lot available for us, yet the chef made 2 extra dishes for us at dinner. When I requested a veg hopper at breakfast, he made sure that the pan had a bit of oil, not butter. And last but not least, the service here should serve as an example to the hospitality industry - smiles from everyone and an elegant willingness to help all the time. Outstanding. Simply outstanding.
