Room 445 checking in (and out)! Big shoutout to Ms. Wani, a lovely lady who assisted me with check-in. She actually remembered my room number at checkout and tossed in an extra hour for late checkout. She's the bomb. The lobby is a total vibe. Then you head up to Level 4 and it’s like walking into a heavy metal rock cave. Those desks and vintage frames along the hallway seem like they are taken straight-up from The Conjuring set. The Hillview Deluxe Room didn’t quite live up to its name, more rooftop view than hill view, but sure, we’ll roll with it. If there’s one thing that could use improvement, it’s the paper-thin walls. We heard a toddler meltdown next door in the middle of the night and baby cries from next door in the morning, so close we thought we had an extra baby in the room. Other than that, the staff were friendly and accommodating, the pool was a blast -my kid loved it, the children's play area was fun, and direct beach access was a win. First Hard Rock stay. Definitely something.

Nice hotel and amenities but if you want to explore city it’s not the right option for you. It’s very far away from the city and not very convenient to come this side. Hotel was good but the rooms could have been better and more aesthetic. Private beach was amazing! The restaurant was amazing and worth having pizza as it was freshly made and very authentic! Will come if you want to relax and unwind and no agenda, but if you want to explore penang, then take some hotel in the city.

Good sized room, the sunroom is an absolute bonus, really nice spot to enjoy the afternoon sun and a quiet drink. The pool is nicely apportioned, but can get a little crowded at times. The breakfast is good and essential given the hotel is about 40 minutes drive from town.

Hard Rock - Pleasant stay. Getting a superb experience from the Lagoon room. It is an amazing experience with the pool just in front of your room deck. Head into the pool for a swim anytime and back to the deck to chill on the bench. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, on the contrary, it is a bit disappointing on the concierge side as there is a contrast if comparing the two. Breakfast is great. A lot of selection and food is holding up its quality. However, the decorations and renovations seem to be a bit ‘outdated’, but not sure if this is intentional. The pool and surrounding facility are great as well, with the beach feel with sand on the floor surrounding the pool. There are sections of the pool which have sand as well. One thing to take note of is they have lifeguards on duty.

Overall, our stay at Hard Rock Hotel Penang was good and I enjoyed the experience. The hotel offers a nice atmosphere and good service. However, we would like to share a small piece of feedback regarding the pool. Personally, we feel it may not be the best idea to have sand inside the pool, as it could cause discomfort or potential issues for children or adults who may have allergies or skin sensitivities. It would be great if the hotel could consider alternatives to make the pool more comfortable and inclusive for everyone. Just our honest feedback.
