Beautiful hotel lobby.
Checked in and met with a glass of Buck’s Fizz, we stayed half board and we thought both breakfast and evening meal was lovely with plenty of choices.
Our sea view room was a nice size room looking out to sea / harbour.
The swimming pool area was always clean and a nice pool.
The bar with night time entertainment was great, we personally thought it would have been better if the entertainment had finished half an hour later but I understand not everyone would want this.
And lastly but very important is all the staff were so friendly.
Would I stay again - Definitely if I can afford it because it’s not cheap to stay here.

A really good hotel in a great location as many reviewers have said. Staff are so lovely and there’s a really nice, tranquil feel about the place. Food good and nicely varied. We were lucky to get an end terrace with our superior room and it was wonderful. Slight niggle; internet not great in our room but adequate. There is the unavoidable sunbed scramble in the mornings but that’s everywhere and not the hotels fault, we went down to the pool after the madness and always got one somewhere. Loved our stay and would definitely recommend.

One night stay on our way to La Gomera. Didn't get a sea facing room but it was only one night so not a real problem. Really good buffet for dinner with lots of gluten free options but not labelled - you had to ask. Good band on after dinner which was a bonus...

When you go to a hotel you want 4 things to be very good:
- general hygiene in the hotel, rooms and recreation areas (swimming pool, Finess, Sauna, bar, restaurant, etc.).
- Friendly and professional staff that makes you feel home, welcomes you every day.
- Food to be of high quality, divers, tasty, meeting the various dietary requirements, and
- a good night sleep in comfy beds in a quiet environment, so you get your sleep.
H10 Big Sur meets this all. We stayed 10 nights and enjoyed it.
The rooms and bathroom are relatively small, but everything is there. Beds are good quality and clean. We had a balcony with two seats. And if you have a sea view room and leave the balcony door open you can hear the sea at night.
Coffee and Tea are in the room available, including (still) water.
The building is not the youngest so things can break down. We had an issue which was resolved by the maintenance staff the same day.
The swimming pool, sun area and outside bar is compact but very well maintained and clean. We did not see ‘Towel Terror’ and 'Sunbeds claiming' before breakfast. There was always a sunbed available, including a clean towel from the pool supervisor. Sunbeds are good, although many parasols need replacement. And if you need shadow, there are beautiful trees to stay under in the well-maintained garden.
Under the hotel you find a small beauty center with a sauna and a gym. If you like a massage, then you are at the right place. We took many and pricing is decent. The Gym is small with equipment in working order.
This is an adult hotel. When we were there the hotel was fully booked with a mix of European nationalities (with British being the major group). We found the atmosphere respectful and polite. Most come for a rest but there is animation such as live music during the evening.
If you need a rental car to explore the island, just ask the reception to organize it for you. The car is brought to the hotel and the agreement had no surprises. No need to deliver the car back, just deliver the keys at the reception and the rental company picks the car up. Car can be parked at the parking lot of the hotel.
Other points to be aware off:
- The hotel is opposite the Ferry port. Although it is not very noisy, you still hear the ships (generators, horns). Nobody seems to be really bothered about it and you see movement of ships (which is also fun as we liked it). At night it is quiet which is most important.
- If you ordered a see view room and want unobstructed sea view you need to be at level 6 and higher. The lower-level sea views do look at the boulevard and swimming pool but sea view is partly obstructed by the (nice) trees/ garden area.
- The Boulevard area is quiet at night and relatively lively during the day. We liked that mix a lot. Walk 10 minutes and you are at the beach and a busy area.
Overall, we had a great time, and we took the hotel based on the positive reviews of others. We were not disappointed.

Hotel near the beach. There is a good supermarket nearby. Hotel room - no complaints about the design and interior. Purely. Bed linen and towels are crystal white and clean. Housekeeping - used only once, as there was no need. The girls who do the cleaning rooms are more friendly and smiling than the reception staff. There is enough food in the restaurant. You won't be hungry, it may be monotonous, but there is a choice. The cutlery and dishes are clean. I always pay attention to this. I can't say that the hotel is quiet. There is no soundproofing in the rooms. Take a room with a sea view. It wasn't sunny, it was cool in the morning. I saw a small cockroach in the bathroom, but this is not a disaster for me. There was an unpleasant chemical smell in the bathroom the entire stay. This may be due to insect repellent treatment or disinfection. Have a nice holiday everyone.
