There is some building work happening at the hotel during November and December. It’s not too intrusive but something to be aware of. The hotel is located at the far end of Sanur, away from the beach bars and restaurants, which might not suit everyone. The beach itself is decent, though the water is quite shallow and covered with sea grass. If you prefer to relax by the pool within the safe confines of the hotel compound, this could be the ideal place for you.

Huge construction!!! Half of the hotel is literally under construction! Watch videos with the sound on!! The noise is almost non stop everywhere you are at the hotel. Getting breakfast or chilling at the pool there will be construction noise. They don't mention this anywhere!! I wanted to review them on other booking platform but the review option is very conveniently gone just a few days after my stay. I guess they doing everything they can to hide the fact of massive construction on their property.

Fantastic rooms close to front pool, gym, walking track and restaurant. Pool is perfect temp if you don't like it cold. Lots of English and Aussies who loved a chat. Great kids shallow pool at front near the beach. Swim up bar too. Very friendly staff. Close to many restaurants and market stalls also Icon, the new shopping centre.

If you’re looking for a resort actually at the beach in Sanur, this is as good of a hotel as any. The rooms are nice and spacious and the team is very friendly. This hotel actually has beach loungers at the beach, unlike several other hotels along the Sanur beach. The beach itself is best earlier in the day when the tide is high. You don’t need water shoes but I’d recommend them if you want to walk along the sea grass at low tide. The boardwalk is always very active and great for a morning stroll. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby The hotel could improve on service at the beach as people coming to see if you wanted anything was quite sporadic. Also the breakfast buffet is a bit sad. The egg station never disappointed but the coffee is rough and very limited offerings across the board.

Our first visit to Bali and the Griya Santrian. The hotel has a very friendly feel and beautiful location on the beach front. I loved watching people jogging or cycling along the pedestrian area at breakfast. The staff are very attentive and I loved getting up early and watching them take their time cleaning and preparing for the day. Nothing was too much trouble. The gardens and pools are clean and beautiful. You can choose garden or beach views. We were only bed and breakfast but we did eat a couple of times there in the evening. Breakfast was great, but I felt as a vegetarian there were only a few options for evening meals. There were some activities at the hotel and we enjoyed learning and making a prayer offering. However the yoga was only offered on 1 day which unfortunately we were out so missed it. We had a treatment in the spa which was amazing. We felt it would have been nice to have had more entertainment offered in the evening. The Balinese evening was only on by weekly so we missed it. That said we would definitely recommend the Griya for its relaxed vibe, great service and beautiful surroundings. We would love to visit again.
