We spent nearly a week at this resort celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. The ambiance was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly accommodating—especially Oggy, Eka, Murdana and Sedana. There is some building work happening at the hotel during November and December. It’s not too intrusive but something to be aware of. The hotel is located at the far end of Sanur, away from the beach bars and restaurants, which might not suit everyone. The beach itself is decent, though the water is quite shallow and covered with sea grass. If you prefer to relax by the pool within the safe confines of the hotel compound, this could be the ideal place for you.

Huge construction!!! Half of the hotel is literally under construction! Watch videos with the sound on!! The noise is almost non stop everywhere you are at the hotel. Getting breakfast or chilling at the pool there will be construction noise. They don't mention this anywhere!! I wanted to review them on other booking platform but the review option is very conveniently gone just a few days after my stay. I guess they doing everything they can to hide the fact of massive construction on their property.

Fantastic rooms close to front pool, gym, walking track and restaurant. Pool is perfect temp if you don't like it cold. Lots of English and Aussies who loved a chat. Great kids shallow pool at front near the beach. Swim up bar too. Very friendly staff. Close to many restaurants and market stalls also Icon, the new shopping centre.

I have to say the Griya Santrian in Sanur is really lovely, in a great location and have stayed several times. They are currently upgrading but does not affect anything. The negatives for me are that after arriving yesterday from another lovely 4/5 star hotel on beachfront Legian, I was not impressed firstly that they said I had to pay as I go, no room charge so not sure what’s changed. More importantly to me is how the Griya is still charging extra for barista coffee. Either you’re a class hotel or you’re lower level and have to charge your guests extra for what should be included in your breakfast. The cost was $6.60 aud for small cup. Definitely needs to be addressed.
