Griya Santrian exceeded our expectations - it was an excellent experience. Big clean room (second floor deluxe), totally quiet at night, three good swimming pools with adequate shade, great beachfront location in the heart of Sanur, good buffet breakfast in a lovely open-sided terrace overlooking the beach, and best of all, lovely staff.
The resort is located on a great stretch of beach, with loungers and drinking-dining areas spilling nicely over the boardwalk out on to the sand. And while Sanur Beach isn't the best beach in Bali for swimming, it's lovely to have your hotel with absolute beachfront.
We checked out the cheapest standard rooms, and while they are a further 50 metres stroll from the beach and breakfast terrace, they were still very nice, and not hugely different to the superior-deluxe rooms. We would happily stay in a standard room.
WiFi around the resort was strong, however my only complaint was that TV reception was pretty fuzzy, and needs to be upgraded to modern standards. Overall we loved our stay, and would certainly return again. Recommended as a mid-range option in the heart of Sanur.

What a beautiful resort with friendly helpful staff and right on the beach. Great food with different areas to sit and 3 pools one with a swim up bar. We had one of the cheapest rooms so the bathroom could have been more modern, having said that we had a huge king size bed which I loved. We will definitely be back but will choose a different room, maybe an upstairs one. 😊

We booked a deluxe suite but asked for a room change as the balcony was exposed and next to the main path and offered little privacy. We would have gladly stayed in an upstairs deluxe suite as those balconies are much more private but none were available.
Our 2nd room whilst not a larger deluxe room was good and overlooked a pool.
All in all we enjoyed our stay, the clientele are generally more mature and quiet, typical of Sanur, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast is fairly good and offers a reasonable range of western and local options. Great location.

We have fabulous stay at Griya.
We have chosen this hotel for our last four nights at Bali and it was a great choice.
Murdana was phenomenal in accommodating our needs.
Room is fantastic, clean, spacious and with a lot of natural light.
Beach is amazing and even though sunbeds are close to each other you can relax and enjoy the sea, as guests keep being respectful and quiet.
Pools are also great and gardens are beautifully maintained.
Breakfast, while basic, is all you may need.

Noisy being near main road.
Our room shower could be seen from the pool, no full privacy door.
Breakfast was a joke compared to the other places we had stayed at.
Location great for the harbour and not else. Traffic for the harbour is horrendous that bad that most people walk to the main Rd with their lugged.
