This program starts at check in time at 15:00 and ends on the day of your departure at 12:00. During Check-In you will get a wristband that will identify you to all the staff of the Hotel. This wristband with your key room card is your free pass in the Hotel and you must always wear it. It will be removed at Check-Out. Only people wearing the wristband and showing the room card will be served.

An amazing short 5 day break at this lovely hotel. I was a little concerned after reading some reviews but the hotel far exceeded my expectations and was definitely worth the money we paid for it. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the reception staff who spoke good English and gave us some hints and tips on the area and getting about. Rooms The rooms are a little tired and could do with an upgrade but this is reflected in the price. We stayed in a suite and it was enormous and spotlessly clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The shower was really powerful too. You can pay more to access the kitchen but we didn't bother as tea/coffee facilities and a fridge was provided. Restaurant We usually plan to eat out a couple of times when on an all inclusive holiday but didn't need to on this occasion. The food was lovely and plentiful. Breakfast consisted of the usual full English/continental but they also had lovely breads/pastries and pancakes/chorros. Freshly prepared fruit/yoghurt and cereal. Lunch/dinner Good selection and different themes each night. There was always 2 cooking stations with a choice of different fresh fish and meat. A good variety of salad, pizza, burger, pasta and other hot dishes. So many options. I don't normally bother with dessert but the fresh fruit flans were lovely. Pool area Plenty of sunbeds and a lovely pool and pool bar. They have a snack bites station too with a good selection of food. We didn't use this but the food we saw looked nice. We also used the spa and treat ourselves to a massage. Lovely ladies and a very relaxing couple of hours. Bar/entertainment A good selection of local brand drinks available on all inclusive. We didn't watch the entertainment so can't comment on that but there was something on each night. Area There are a couple of supermarkets a minutes walk away and some bars too if you want a change of scenery. We caught the 483 bus from just outside the hotel to Los Christianos, it took about 20 minutes and cost 2 Euros. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants there and a lovely beach. I will definitely return here again. We had a lovely relaxing holiday. Thank you Grand Mathu golf plaza 😊

I am honestly wondering how this hotel maintains a 5-star rating. We stayed here as a group of four, but the experience was terrible from start to finish. ​Hygiene & Maintenance: The room was filthy. We found hairs on the nightstands and inside the blankets. Even worse, some of the bed sheets had bloodstains on them. The sofa beds had broken slats and extremely thin foam mattresses, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. ​Safety: There is a serious safety issue. The electrical outlets short-circuited when used, causing the power in the room to go out. ​Service: Completely inattentive. Our room for 4 was only set up for 2 people. We checked in at 6 PM, pointed this out, went to dinner, and when we returned at 11 PM, the sheets were still missing. We had to make the beds ourselves late at night. During our 2-day stay, the room was never cleaned, and beds were never made by the staff. ​Food: Breakfast had variety, but the food quality was very poor. ​Do not recommend.

I shared many of the thoughts of the previous reviews> especially the hotel being more 3 star than 5 star. This is based on the rooms themselves more than anything as the hotel is very grande in places, its in a quite location and it has good facilities and a decent pool. If you can get a good price and you can accept that this is more a 3 star hotel than a 5, then you will enjoy your time here. A particular shout out of thanks to Jessica from the reception team who helped us a lot and she made our stay much more enjoyable and comfortable.

Perfect get away for a few days ! The hotel is definitely not a 5 star by UK standards however the food was lovely and the facilities were brilliant. We enjoyed a massage in the spa and a sunbathe by the pool. Rooms were spacious however dated but for the price I couldn’t complain. There was a cockroach in the bathroom and we spoke to reception who had a Maintinence worker at our room within 5 minutes who thoroughly took care of the bugs and even returned a few hours later to see if we’d had any more issues! Upon leaving our taxi to the airport didn’t show up so security called us a taxi and waited with us for it as he didn’t want us being outside by ourselves in the middle of the night as two young females. The care & service of the staff at the hotel was brilliant !!

If you’re eyeing five-star luxury, skip Grand Muthu-this screamed three to me. Lobby dazzles with marble and chandeliers, but rooms? Total time-warp: scuffed furniture, saggy uncomfortable beds, rotten door frames,couldn't shut bedroom doors, zero wow. Location’s blissfully quiet if crowds make you twitchy, just 10/15 minutes to pebbly beach-flip-flops required! Food’s decent, one highlight. Staff? Pleasant but some people could do smiling little more . All-inclusive though? Wild-on checkout day they yanked my band at 12, handed a lunch voucher good from 1 till 3, then charged for everything. First time ever in my 10 Canary trips they’ve pulled that. Still, went home relaxed.
