Coming back to Gran Oasis for the fifth year in a row, we still love it very much! We're always greeted with smiles, and we're extra happy to see Renate is still here! Even though the hotel is rather close to the ocean, we tend to stick around to the pool areas, which are always in excellent condition. Sun beds are plenty and it's not too crowded. A nice upgrade this year was the entertainment area which has been totally rebuilt, with a large scene and comfortable chairs/sofas. It wouldn't be a proper review without mentioning the rooms. Not that we use then very much because we really only sleep there, but they are spacious with great beds and always perfectly clean. Saving the best for the last, the food! Excellent does not cover it! We travel alot and have tried many similar family hotels, but Gran Oasis is the best! From breakfast to lunch to dinner, even though you're not hungry, you just always look forward to the food! There is one area of the hotel which we have not tried out yet, and that is the aqua land for the smallest kids. Next year we'll be back with our first grandchild and look forward to reviewing that too.

Stayed here for a week first time staying in Gran oasis, start of by saying we had a lovely upgrade and bottle of fizzy upon our arrival and swans made out of towels what was so thoughtful and beautiful! We appreciate it so much! Only issue with the rooms are they are so worn out our lights were handing of wall and wire hanging out ceiling and hand rail to stairs hanging of also lots more issues. The pool area was lovely however no where to sit as people put towels down at 6/7am!!! This should not be aloud not fair to others. The food was very very disappointing as was either undercooked or made us ill they should have a bigger restaurant for the amount of rooms they have and make sure its freshly cooked. Bar is a blast got so much to choose from till late at night, Miguel what a guy made our stay so much better went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and happy - honestly so lucky to have a guy like him in the hotel hes amazing!!! The gentleman that welcomed us to dinner most days was so kind also and always smiley. The rest of the staff on the other hand were so rude and clearly not happy. Games room everything is broken and no one was maintaining it even staff said they know its broken - dont bother wasting money in there. Entertainment was not our style but expect the same everynight pretty much. Overall our stay was ok but we will not be returning as paid alot of money and all these downfalls made us not want to return.

A wonderful holiday! The hotel was very clean and peaceful, the buffet was delicious, and the pool was super clean and lovely. And we mustn't forget our lifeguard, Bruno. Thanks to him, our holiday was much better than we expected. He's a very outgoing, fun, friendly, and dedicated young man. My children were thrilled; they were afraid of lizards, but Bruno gently picked one up and gave it to them. Now my son loves reptiles! We fell in love with Tenerife, the hotel, and especially Bruno. We'll be back! Best regards.

I am not one to leave reviews but honestly, for the experience my family and I had over the last week, I am making a point to write this. Above all else, with the exception of one lady, who covered the afternoon/evening shift, the rest of the front desk team were just rude, unhelpful and just arrogant. It was that bad I would have left the hotel on that basis. Why we hadn’t, was only due to the fact the was a party of 14 of us attending a family wedding and to up route everyone would have been too much work. My wife even saw them rejecting a lady requesting some milk for her baby, because breakfast was starting in 5 mins…they told her she would have to wait. This is how petty and rude the front desk staff were. In 22 years of frequent travelling for work and with family, I can easily this the staff at the front desk were the worst I have experienced. They just didn’t want to help, even before speaking, on approach to the desk it was like they were already fed up and didn’t want to assist. One of our family members joined 2 days into the trip, imagine they charged us £70 a day for her to stay under the all inclusive. When we asked why they said because she didn’t arrive when we all checked in….ALTHOUGH we had already paid for her. We had to call our travel agent who also called the hotels office. No luck, she came back and saying they were just rude. My wife called explained the situation saying we have already paid etc, put it this way, I’ve never heard a company wanting to get off the phone in such haste. 4 times they ignored my wife and said, it is what it is and we have to pay. Have a good day! 4 times would you believe. I went to the front desk to discuss this, honestly I don’t know how I kept calm, never have I been spoken too in that manner. I just got so tired I paid they £70x 4 days just to be done with them. That’s the level of arrogance and rudeness this hotel and company have. I would understand if they were dealing with torrid guests constantly, but in all truth, all the other guests were happy and very polite. Other factors, food, was average at best, the selection for children was just bland and repetitive. The hotel is 4 Star, how…I cannot fathom, there was no room service of any kind, the spa only had one person working there for all treatments, so if you plan to use it, book way in advance. The TV in the rooms were a joke, 90 channels, and for all the 6 days we stayed there, the only channels which didn’t work…were the English channels. Can you believe that…the TV just had a message, ‘service unavailable’. The TV’s were not smart, so no app’s available, you could not even screen share. In a nutshell, it’s useless to even have it in the room. Double beds, no chance, the beds were to single beds joined together and due to the floors being tiled, they moved apart all too easily. However I must say, when they didn’t move, the beds were comfortable. I would say this would be a comfortable 2 star hotel. Nowhere near a 4 star. I could continue far beyond the above, but hopefully this helps you, the reader, get the just of it. I would definitely go back to Tenerife, but more certainly I would never go back nor recommend this hotel to anybody.

WOW... we had an amazing trip in September as part of an organised fitness retreat with around 20 people in our group... The reservations team were amazing, a BIG THANK YOU to Sara for making our stay! In fact, a BIG THANK YOU too to all staff members are very welcoming and helpful. 2 bedroom suite was awesome, beds comfortable, bathroom up to date, cannot fault! Food was plentiful and of a very high standard with a huge choice every day. Would highly recommend this hotel and would without hesitation stay again!
