Stayed for 5 night BB.Its a nice family orientated place.Rooms are very well appointed and clean.Its a solid 4 star hotel indeed.Staff very friendly and any issue is being sorted asap.A big plus was the heated pools.No issues finding a sunlounger,but its feb. Cant comment on food as we were BB only.Breakfast the usual cooked/cold/pastry selection. Location is indeed up on a steep hill,20 min walk downhill to beach/ restaurant area.A taxi back will cost u around 8-10 euro. Overall was a pleasent experience at Gran Oasis Resort.

Great location, 20/30 min walk to Los cristianos and playa las americas if you want to go to beach etc. Get taxi back though, steep walk back. Taxi average 6-7euros. Shop in Resort, plus a little one 5 mins down the road. Wonderful staff. Yummy food, variety on offer. Lovely clean pools Apartments are a good size, air con, kettle, fridge freezer, balcony furniture. Could do with a touch of paint, mastic etc, just general wear and tear. Beds are comfy, housekeeping everyday if you wish, pool towels provided as well as bathroom towels and tea towel. Filtered water refill stations dotted around resort. Safe to use and drink, asked Jet2 rep, and they clarified this. Family friendly resort. Well kept planters and shrubbery.

Where to start? 1st of all we went all inclusive for 2 weeks in January with no children. The hotel is lovely, the staff are nice and the rooms are good. The issues. The rooms were so loud!! Ridiculously loud!! I couldn’t get over how loud! you could here kids running up and down, conversations being had and EVERY morning come 8-9am when you’re trying to have a lay in, the cleaners cleaning the neighbours room by moving/dragging every piece of furniture which was as if it was in the same room as you. EVERY MORNING for about an hour!! The food was constantly warm, never hot! Food was poor to ok! We ended up going out for dinner half the time because I couldn’t stomach more warm food. The food court is tiny! It’s a large hotel and in the height of the holiday seasons this would be a nightmare! The all inclusive drinks are only severed till 11pm despite the bar closing at midnight, so you would have to pay from 11pm to midnight. The drinks available are all non branded drinks. Even Smirnoff vodka was deemed a premium drink which was chargeable, and a lot of cocktails are also an additional cost. The pool and area is nice and clean but again it’s quite small and this could be a real pain in the height of holiday season. **warning** The hotel is on top of a very steep hill, only a €5 taxi ride and the hotel is not great for anyone with mobility issues. For example, our room was about 50 steps up to get to our door, there’s a longer incline route for wheelchairs but it would not be easy unless you were staying on or near the ground floor. I probably wouldn’t go back even for self catering as the rooms were just so noisy. I would say this was a 3.5* not 4

This is the 7th time I’ve stayed at The Gran Oasis resort with my family. We stayed for 10 nights over Christmas. The rooms are great for us, we had a 2 bedroom with rooftop terrace. The rooms are spacious and spotless. Our lovely cleaner looked after us very well. The rooftop is great for getting away from the pool area in your own space. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped if you are self catering. The food is good for all inclusive, there’s something for everyone at all mealtimes. The dining room can get busy at times, but we always got seated no problem. It can be noisy with unruly children, but that’s to be expected in a family hotel I suppose. The Christmas dinner, although not what we’d have at home, was really good with plenty of choice and nice wine. The canapés and welcome drink was a nice touch. The dining room staff are all great, but a very special mention to Luis and Vera, who go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Reception are very helpful and the online check in (because we booked directly with the hotel) was very efficient and saved time on arrival. We didn’t use the hotel pools much because my teenagers swim in the 50m training pool near the hotel. We did notice that the big pool was closed 3 times during our stay, not sure why. I didn’t use the spa this time, but I’ve previously had a treatment there and enjoyed it. The gym is good, but it can get busy, especially if people take their kids in. There’s are good running route round the golf course from the hotel, which is just over 2 miles long. The pool bar, which was renovated this year is much improved. A special mention to Silvio at the bar, who also goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The hotel shop has the basics. There is a supermarket a short walk from the hotel. The arcade was great for the kids and the candy floss machine was well used! We have already booked our holiday for next year.

The hotel itself is really very cool. The design, atmosphere and overall concept are great, and we genuinely enjoyed our stay as a family. The rooms and common areas were pleasant, and the hotel has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the food was incredibly disappointing and clearly the weakest part of the experience. At breakfast, everything smelled strongly of garlic, which is very unpleasant first thing in the morning. Several items did not seem properly cleaned, the bread rolls were dry, and the overall quality was poor. Dinner was even worse. After the third day, we complained and decided not to participate in the hotel dining anymore, as it was simply not enjoyable. Honestly, I was surprised to see so many guests eating the food without seeming to mind — for us, it was hard to understand. It’s a real shame, because the hotel itself is great. With a serious improvement in food quality and hygiene, this place could be much better.
