A Beautiful Place Made Truly Special by Its People The Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora is a stunning place—its architecture, gardens, and views are breathtaking. However, it does feel at times that the infrastructure (restaurants, poolside space) hasn’t quite kept pace with the number of guests the hotel accommodates. But what truly makes the experience unforgettable is the staff. The hotel would not be the same without their warmth and professionalism. A special mention goes to the bar service team for their genuinely warm and welcoming presence, and consistently exceptional service. Particular compliments to Fran, not only for his skill and professionalism, but a remarkable way of making guests feel truly valued. His personal touch adds a lot to the guest experience. Additionally, the workshops run in collaboration with local family businesses were a real highlight—authentic, engaging, and a beautiful way to connect with the island’s culture. Recommended—not just for the setting, but for the heart behind it all.

I have seen many people complaining about various things such as: The service, the food, bugs, and much more. However, I found at my stay that the staff were very nice and welcoming, the buffet was exceptional, one of the biggest I’ve ever been to in my life. Although there was a line for the buffet, I found that it moved very quickly and was never quite that long. During my stay, I came across a few flies here and there, but they were never really a problem and it’s also not something that the staff could control. It was very clean and had an amazing view. The wide variety of plants and flowers really made it feel like paradise. The rooms were very nice and there was a cat that was always near the bridge on our way to the pool in the morning, who was very cute. Overall, I think that the people with negative reviews had one-off experiences because this was the best resort I’ve ever stayed in and will definitely be coming back.

The rooms are quite dated, with noticeable stains on the furniture. The hotel feels overcrowded—more like a budget Turkish resort than a luxury stay. The overall vibe and even the smells reinforce that impression. Breakfast was especially chaotic: you have to wait in line just to get a table, and then again while getting food. At the pool area, it’s not easy to get drinks. There aren’t many waiters around, so you have to walk to the pool bar yourself. For nearly the same price, you could stay at the Ritz, where the overall experience is much more refined and comfortable. On the positive side, the pools are great—especially the infinity pool, which I really enjoyed. The staff were also very polite and helpful.

Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora is a gem. The Hotel is very beautiful and the people who work there are super friendly and professional. Mercedes the Hotel manager made sure our holiday is the best in every aspect. Amazing ocean view room allocated on the 4th floor. Her Guest Relation team contacted me few days prior and made sure all my requests are received and dealt with. During our stay numerous times I was contacted by WhatsApp and email to be sure all is perfect. The Kids Club was super fun to my 5 years old daughter. There is a lovely Spa where Clarins massage and massages can be enjoyed. The Restaurants are serving super delicious and healthy food. Our personal favourite Nami (Asian) and Oasis (Mediterranean) The Bar guys and always available and never scared to provide you excellent cocktails throughout the day and evening. The shows are amazing. Music , dance and folklore. Face panting, and kids movie nights for the children. As I am a hotelier never really stay the same Hotel as I like to discover new places. But we have decided already in the near future we will be back. Thank you Meliá to make a memorable stay.

We stayed in a Delux Family room (number 5029) all-inclusive for seven nights at Easter 2025. It was pretty expensive at £634 per night (ex flights) for a family of two adults and two children, but we booked pretty late. Firstly - it's a great hotel. I was worried before we departed having read lots of negative reviews on Google Maps and TripAdvisor, but these must be from a vocal minority who had a bad experience. Specifically: • Food is very good in the restaurants, including at the buffet - lots of choice, stuff prepared to order, variation each day • Drinks included in the non-red level drinks package are great (just not Champagne or premium spirits) • Pools very good, not so busy you can't get loungers, although you need to get there early if you want one on the water's edge. The large infinity pool is salt water but it was warm at Easter and very nice • Lots of activities for kids in and outside of the kids club. They can be left if aged over 5 • Room is well equipped, clean and modern. No maintenance or pest issues • Staff are all very friendly, polite and helpful The only negatives we experienced were: • Some days there was a bit of a pong on the western side of the hotel first thing in the morning. It's not the hotel drains, but from the large banana plantation next door who water overnight. It wasn't overpowering (AC sorted it out in the room) and appears to depend on wind direction and speed. • Difficult to book restaurants (which are very good) via the app, but guest services were able to sort on our behalf • The whole Red Level, Circles stuff etc is confusing on menus etc - basically upgrades to your stay which I'm not sure would be worth the money TL;DR: Just really good - we'll be back!
