Hotel certainly was luxury in 2008 when it was made, but in 2025 it’s dated - you can see decay in rooms and facilities. Circle membership was aggressive and took away from enjoyment of vacation - a call and then 3 seperate people who took over an hour of your time in aggressive selling - not worth the 100 voucher, don’t waste your time. They asked to commit for like 5 years at like 5000 eur - only to be told this after an hour of time. Best was food in buffet - wide choice, changes. We ended up skipping restaurants for buffet. Coffee was not from beans so that was certainly not meeting the criteria for luxury hotel. On site tasting menu restaurant - overpriced for a low service quality. They try really hard, but it’s nowhere near anything Michelin like quality both in food and service. Just skip it. Overall, beautiful view - good food un buffet and heated family pool was good. P.S. They messed up charge in checkout and took a while to explain that one charge was from another guest - took too long due to checkout staff member speaking bad English. Again, you see this in 3* hotels, not supposedly 5*.

I will remember my stay as one of the most pleasant in terms of accommodation. The hotel is beautiful and spacious, yet still easy to navigate. What impressed me the most, however, was the kindness of the staff from the very beginning. I could always count on your help. I would also like to thank Mrs. Brenda from the housekeeping department — she is very kind and hardworking, genuinely interested in the guests’ opinions and attentive to detail. She always asked if I needed anything or if I was satisfied with my stay, which made me feel well taken care of and warmly welcomed. I would also like to praise Mr. Diego from the Spa reception. He is such a positive person, and it has been a long time since I’ve experienced such friendly service. Lastly, I want to thank the entire hotel for the hospitality and professionalism I received during my stay. I wish you all the best, and I can’t wait to return!

The stay at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora turned into one of those trips where you genuinely feel taken care of. The staff were exceptionally attentive, always kind, and consistently professional. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and cleaned every single day, which made the whole experience feel effortless. All the on-site restaurants were truly top-tier, with excellent food quality across the board. Cocktails and ice cream were especially impressive — rich, fresh and genuinely delicious. Breakfasts changed slightly from day to day, so there was no monotony, and everything was served in unlimited quantities, which felt wonderfully indulgent. The pool is not heated and filled with saltwater, but it was still enjoyable, and there were always enough sunbeds for everyone, even at peak hours. A few small things could improve the comfort even more — having razors and cotton buds available in the room would be helpful. The mattress was on the firm side, and the duvet setup was a bit unusual, placed between two sheets rather than in a cover, which felt strange at first. The amount of activities was a highlight: astronomy sessions, table tennis, tennis, daily entertainment, and live music. The territory of the hotel is absolutely massive, beautifully maintained, and perfect for long walks. The location is about 20 minutes from Las Américas, but this distance is actually a benefit — the area is peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. We will definitely return — the hotel truly delivers a premium experience.

Long established, superior resort complex, occupying an extensive site on the west coast, facing La Gomera, a few kilometres into the Atlantic Ocean. A variety of rooms, all well equipped; several pools, from family friendly to adults only; extensive and mature, landscaped gardens, very well-maintained to a high standard, with good access to the different areas of the hotel. In terms of dining, the majority are open air, given the Island's most-of-the year climate, with Spanish & Mexican overlooking the main pool & across to Gomera. In the main complex, there is: Italian, Japanese, also a steakhouse, all with table service, and another self-service buffet style. In the main square, live musical entertainment is offered every evening from 21:00 until 22:15. There is also a fine dining, open air, option, French cuisine, on a couple of evenings most weeks. There are poolside bars open from 11:00 until the late afternoon, albeit one is available only to guests staying in the more expensive Red Level, for adults only

We spent 10 days with our family at this beautiful hotel. The food, drinks, and service were wonderful. The rooms are spacious with a lovely covered balcony. The children's pool is fantastic, as is the excellent service from the waitresses at the pool. We had a medical emergency and would especially like to mention Claudia, who provided us with professional and compassionate support. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay.
