It’s a very basic hotel but priced as a resort. The location is great but you can hardly enjoy the beach because there is some construction work happening and lots of people setting up tents and all. Stray dogs are coming inside the hotel premises. Rooms are okay but the hotel lacks clean look. The furniture looks old, torn and musty. Food was good.

The food is the best I've tasted in a long time. You wouldn't get a spread like the main stream hotels but what's made is fresh and flavourful. Had all the varieties of seafood so you don't miss much. Looking forward to going there again.

We had a lovely 10 days at Goldi sands from 18/April . ALL the staff were friendly and helpful and I was surprised with both balloons in our room on arrival and a birthday cake at dinner for my 70th birthday. We have no complaints at all other than maybe a bit of updating in the room needed. But they were spotlessly clean.. Also we have to praise our tour guide Sudarshan who went out of his way to make our stay in Sri Lanka so special. We highly recommend him.

The hotel has some serious shortcomings when it comes to basic amenities. There were no toothbrushes, toothpastes, or bath slippers provided, which are generally expected even in budget accommodations. We booked a quadruple room, but the space was quite cramped. It had three beds and a converted sofa bed, which was too small and uncomfortable for a normal adult to sleep on. On the positive side, the food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, overall, the stay was not very comfortable due to the room setup and lack of essential amenities.

We originally booked for 3 nights, but extended for another 3 nights because we loved staying there. The staff were the best, fulfilling all our needs, never heard a no, always a yes. The room, food, pool, and everything else was just super. Will definitely be going there again.
