Our stay at Gold Zanzibar was nothing short of spectacular. As soon as we arrived we were immediately greeted and made to feel at home. In celebration of our honeymoon we were upgraded to a beautiful villa with private pool and butler service - very comfortable and clean accommodation. The amenities including pool, spa, beach and bars were all fantastic. We were also amazed by the food, with so many options and the quality was remarkable, all very fresh, the best pasta we’ve had outside of Italy, great local cuisine too. But what stood out the most was the absolutely amazing service. Every single member of hotel staff went above and beyond to greet us at every opportunity, make us feel at home, offer us anything we could wish for and just engage in conversation; they seemed genuinely interested in getting to know us. We are fortunate to stay at nice hotels around the world and the staff and service at Gold stand out as the very best we have ever experienced and by a very long way. We enjoyed complimentary sunset cruise on our final night for which we are very grateful. The occasional complimentary food and drink with bills showing ‘zero’ against each item, also a very generous touch. I would not hesitate to recommend Gold to anyone looking for accommodation in Zanzibar - furthermore, I would even encourage people to stay at Gold simply to see how the very best of hotels can and should be. I could not think of a single thing that could have been better or different. Thank you for an incredible experience.

We stayed at the hotel in September and we had a fabulous stay! The food was delicious and varied and every night there was a theme on dinner time, with a touch of local culture and traditions which was very interesting. The rooms and the hotel area was kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the green areas kept immaculate by the lovely gardeners. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, couldn't have asked for better customer service. Especially would like to thank Ali Makaba (the manager) who made our stay even more special. Amazing Honeymoon – Felt Like Royalty! Where do I even start? Our 10-night honeymoon at Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa was honestly out of this world. It was our first all-inclusive resort holiday and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like absolute royalty. We were welcomed with a refreshing hibiscus drink and cool towels — such a lovely touch after a long journey from the UK. Our room had the most incredible ocean view — waking up to that every morning was just magical. Ashanti was amazing throughout our stay. She really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and her tips on excursions were spot on. She’s a real gem and such a credit to the team. Every single staff member was so warm and friendly — from the guy running the beach towel hut and activities, to the kitchen crew, and the bartender who made the best cocktails. The evening entertainment was a blast — we loved Italian night and African night, with delicious food and great music. Honestly, we didn’t even want to leave the resort because we were having such a good time. The private beach area was a dream — super clean, secure with 24/7 security, and perfect for relaxing. Plus, it’s right on Kendwa’s stunning coastline, so you can take lovely walks along the beach whenever you fancy. Leaving was the hardest part. We weren’t ready to go back to the UK at all! We’re already planning our return — Zanzibar is such a beautiful place, and Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa is hands down one of the best accommodations and overall holidays we’ve ever had.

We loved our stay at Gold Zanzibar. Jackline was particularly kind and ready to help us with every need. Even getting in touch after we left to make sure we were travelling well. We were given a free upgrade on arrival with a private pool. The food at the buffet was always excellent. The location on the beach was good but there was a inflatable play park in front of the resort which in my opinion took away from the experience of watching the sunset.

We spent six days at Gold Zanzibar and overall had a truly beautiful experience. The food was absolutely wonderful, fresh, varied, and always delicious. The staff are what truly make this place special: from the warm and professional reception team to the attentive and kind Kilimanjaro restaurant staff. We’d like to give a special mention to Marry in the dining area, who greeted us every morning with a smile, poached eggs and a genuine kindness. Also to people from the Gold restaurant, always friendly and helpful, and to the massage therapists, who were simply excepcional, one of the best treatments we’ve ever had. The hotel itself is beautiful, relaxing, and well cared for. Our only issue was the noise at night. The hotel is located next to a bar that plays loud music until late, and unfortunately the rooms are not soundproofed. Several nights we were unable to sleep properly due to the noise. This was the only downside to an otherwise fantastic stay. We hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests, because everything else the location, the service, the vibe, was just amazing. Thank you to all the team for making our honeymoon so special!
