Family stay for one week. The room was really nice and clean, as well as other parts of the hotel. The staff is really kind and helpful. Private parking for hotel guest is definitely a plus 🙂 Water in swimming pools is warm, but for some reason also salty. We had all inclusive, but for some stuff you have to pay extra. Also the mini bars in between main deals are mostly fast food and drinks, which is not ideal especially with kids.

It is a great big hotel with spa, big swimming pools, excellent views around, and great service. I was a bit unsure about it reading the reviews about the food in the restaurant. The food is really good. It has local Canaries and Spanish dishes. It tastes really good. The rooms are perfect and the entertainment is a bonus. The aqua dance pool is a bit too deep to be able to do the dance. We are enjoying our stay here.

First of all, the hotel was beauuutiful! Just like the pictures. On arrival we were kindly greeted and checked in sharp, reception staff were really friendly! Room- Perfect, very spacious, especially the balcony, and the room was kept very clean daily. We had an incredible sea view. There was an average sized TV which was direct view from bed. Would have preferred a double bed instead of twin beds but we weren’t entirely bothered to ask for a change. Bathroom was lovely, walk in shower and lighted mirrors! Plenty of wardrobe space too. Cleaning staff- This is the reason Gloria Palace has lost a star from us. First 5 days into our 9 night stay, I had no complaints, room was freshly cleaned daily to the highest standard, 2 glassed bottled waters daily. Now on our 6th day, I wrote a note to the cleaners kindly asking for our room to be extra romantic as it was our anniversary! The cleaner done a lovely job at doing so, bed was made lovely as shown in pictures below, even gifted us a bottle of prosecco. Now, I was planning on giving a tip of course! as I do everywhere I go, to the cleaning staff at the end of our stays. But on the 7th day I noticed €10 had been stolen from our room, I decided not to complain at reception, but instead I chose not to give them a tip, whatsoever. There was a safe available to use but we decided not to, due to not having much euros, as we use card mainly, so we chose to carry our purse/wallet on us. On this occasion I left €10 (in my bag) accidentally, and as soon as I remembered and went to check… it was gone. Lastly, on our last day we were woken up to the cleaner knocking on our door, asking us when we would be out of our room, which is concerning as i’m sure they know check out time, so I told her we would be out at check out time. Then… One hour before check out time we were again… rudely interrupted without a knock on the door, the cleaner walked in, noticed we were still in our room, and walked out without saying a word. Furious but not going to let that ruin the rest of our lovely experience. Entertainment- Didn’t partake much, but seemed to have a variety of different things every night. Food- Was fairly good, plenty of choice, different options daily and staff were friendly, attentive and professional. We were half board and I can say we were surprised that we didn’t get at least one drink included with our dinner as other hotels we have stayed in have offered at least one drink with our meal. The main restaurant was closed due to a refurbishment so meals were served at the snack bar (outside) not ideal at night as it was breezy, but there was Gazebos put up which was good considering it rained pretty bad 1 of the nights. Pool- There were 3 pools, we only used the adult pool. It was spotless, not too cold, only used it a handful of times as we were not keen on the salt water. There was plenty of sunbeds available at any hour throughout the day which was great. Location- The hotel is very uphill, so don’t recommend if you aren’t keen on hillwalking up to your hotel. But it does justice with the views I promise! There is a small market shop down the bottom of the hill which is open until 8pm, the next shop after 8pm is around a 10 minute walk. The hotel has a free bus which takes you to Playa de ingles or Maspalomas which we used twice! We spent half a day at the Dunas Maspalomas, we definitely recommend walking through from start of Dunas Maspalomas right into Playa de Ingles for spectacular views, only a half hour walk for us but it can be very tough walking through the sand! San Agustin is very very quiet, not much around so if you are looking to go somewhere busier San Agustin isn’t for you. We enjoyed the peace and quiet! Definitely more of a chill spot. Thalasso/Sauna- We had a lovely experience here, we definitely recommend trying it out during your time at the hotel, we left feeling super relaxed. You get a discount with them when you are staying at Gloria Palace, the price was fair. Probably won’t return to Gran Canaria, but I am overall satisfied with our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is excellent, making it convenient for exploring the area. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view, and everything was well-maintained—not worn down at all. The food was fresh and delicious, with plenty of variety. The hotel has lots of friendly and attentive staff, ensuring great service. Room cleaning was excellent, and the swimming pools were spotless. It was also convenient to have a pharmacy on-site, along with a gift shop stocked with all the essentials. As a family of three with a 10-year-old, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel! Would definitely return!

This is a BIG hotel. I’d guess a thousand guests plus ! It is fastidiously clean, the rooms and all communal areas are very clean and very modern. The food is good we’ve really enjoyed it - it’s a canteen for 1000 people so anyone could nit pick, but no one will lose weight staying here !! The pools are nice and sun beds plentiful. Really nice hotel and staff. The beach is a 10 min stroll away and there are plenty of shops, and it’s around €13 for a taxi to either Maspalomas or the aqua land - highly recommend both. Beware being half board and assuming soft drinks are included - we had a €52 surprise bill on checking out for table water 😬 Overall we’ve loved staying here !
