The location of this hotel,on a hill, gives great views across San Agustin bay which is particularly nice at sunrise and sunset. Our room was great,a few signs of wear and tear but immaculate and fully functional. The cleaning staff did a really good job. Food in the buffet restaurant was really good with a huge well presented selection. The restaurant staff kept everything tidy and nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff were very helpful and bar staff attentive. Pool area was kept immaculately. We could not fault anything about this hotel and will definitely return.

We arrived with a confirmed booking for a circuit for two including two 50-minute massages (paid via voucher) and were told there was no massage booking on their system. We were then left waiting while multiple staff spoke amongst themselves in Spanish, with minimal acknowledgement and no clear explanation of what was happening. The situation felt chaotic and uncomfortable rather than professional or calming. One receptionist was polite and clearly trying, but he seemed left to deal with a stressful problem alone. The alternatives offered were not comparable to what we had booked, and we had to rearrange our plans. When we eventually received the massages, they were poor quality and felt noticeably shorter than the advertised 50 minutes. The whole experience felt awkward, rushed, and badly managed from start to finish. What made it worse was how this was handled afterwards. I raised the issue by email and received a slow response, followed by no meaningful resolution unless I return in the future. That isn’t acceptable for a service that went wrong during the stay. This was meant to be a relaxing spa visit - it was the opposite. I would not recommend it

Nice hotel. Reception staff were generally very helpful and great moving us from a “sea view” room on the second floor to the seventh floor where we could see the sea. Top floor, adult only pool, sun bathing and bar area - staff, service was excellent. Gorbea restaurant- food was excellent and service. Thalasso spa - we had a massage and used the salt spa pools on a couple of days. Very enjoyable and good service. Gym - spacious, pretty well equipped and kept clean. The main buffet restaurant - food was largely acceptable and improved. Restaurant staff were so focused on the operational side of doing their jobs and it felt like you, the customer, was in the way. Hotel did a survey on this and the service in the buffet restaurant improved for like a day. Still a great holiday and a very positive opinion of the hotel overall.

Went for a spa day at the Thalasso Therapy Centre. A nice and quiet indoors area with many pools and saunas/steam rooms etc. Had some trouble getting in to the different with the keycard but a very helpful guy assisted us everywhere. Good selection of cold and hot pools, ice showers, steam rooms, hammam, saunas, bubble baths etc. etc. Sunbeds were available both inside and outside. Had a couples massage which was ok, no complaints there. The buffet lunch was a bit disappointing in clean food selection, alot of mixed dishes that could be anything. Plenty of cakes/desserts if you want that for lunch. A plus for the pizza station which was actually made to order with good ingredients and not just childrens pizza with cheese. All in all a good, but not great experience. Would have expected more from the lunch.

the location of the hotel is just ideal - it's in a quieter, more peaceful area (San Agustìn), almost a bit out of the way, yet you could say it's "in the middle of everything". the bus stop is about 5-8 minute walk and the oceanfront is around 15-20 minutes away. there are plenty of shops near around, one shopping center is just near around the mentioned bus stop :) breakfast and the buffet dinner were plentiful. if you are staying for a longer period (2-3 weeks ore more), there is also an 'à la carte' restaurant on the 9th floor (hotel guests get a discount there - definitely try their cocktails!). :) so yes, on the 9th floor there's a restaurant/chillout place - definitely go up there, you can take amazing photos of the city and the ocean. :) our room was quite spacious, and from what i heard from other guests, this seems to be true for most of the rooms. :) the pools were nicely refreshing; when it was windy, getting out of the water felt a bit chilly — but that's life. of course, i could point out a couple of downsides, but the truth is, that i would happily return to this hotel in the future, so for me it's a solid 5*. :) ----- hello David! thanks for the response! i have further islands to conquer, though i hope i can go back to gran canaria in the future, but i mean everything and i do recommend the hotel to anyone who is planning to visit gran canaria. :) best wishes!
