my boyfriend and i have just arrived home from a 5 night stay at this lovely hotel and we have absolutely no complaints. it was a beautiful hotel, with a great atmosphere. the room was good, just what we needed - along with a balcony with a gorgeous view. the pool area was lovely, there’s always plenty of sun loungers available throughout the day so no need to worry. the pool bar was great, there was plenty of food and drinks available all day! the restaurant was lovely too. the entertainment team were fantastic, especially Lucas who we got to know very well. he’s a credit to the hotel and you can tell that he loves his job! he looked after us all week and got us involved in many different activities and having fun, then wished us a safe journey home at the end of the week with a massive cuddle. i hope he’ll still be there when we visit again next year! really do recommend this lovely hotel, just want we wanted from this holiday.

A 9 night holiday started with the air-conditioning not working in the whole of the hotel and took 3 days to fix. The toilets outside for pool use, were out of order all of our holiday. The toilets inside had one cubicle out of order all holiday. Speaks volumes about the maintenance team. Three tiny lifts 450kg weight limit Or 6 persons. Six kids more like. You could not get 6 small adults in. When coming down from top floors, expect to stop at nearly every floor due to lift capacity and speed at which they operate. Cost of living affects everything including hotels. But this place puts profit before anything else. The food consisted of all the cheap cuts of meat. That being, pork, chicken and some kind of fish, turned into all kinds of made up dishes. Pork paella, who new. Also the equipment provided to the entertainment staff is poor quality and in some cases dangerous. So much so some activities like archery don't happen anymore. On the plus side, no rush for beds. Pool is not open until 10am, but you can get out and reserve your favourite spot before that. Plenty of beds to go around and they are all brand new, and so are the umbrellas. Staff are friendly enough and helpful. If you eat food from outside buffet, beware of dive bombing seagulls that will take your burger in a flash, just like they do back home. 3 Star hotel at best.

Lovely clean hotel never saw any mess. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, helpful happy staff. Nice pool area. The breakfast was great lots of choice. The lunch and dinner was very limited for vegetarians with it being pizza, pasta and chips. The drinks menu was also limited for cocktails only having about 5 different ones. I would recommend the brandy,or rum with coke. With that being said I enjoyed my stay here and for the cost would stay again. The hotel looks like it's at the back of the resort but it's only a few minutes walk to bars and beach. One main negative are the lifts having only 3 which take max of 4- 5 people to serve 8 floors it can be a long wait to get one so most of the time it's a jog up and down the stairs lucky I was on the 4th floor.

First of all, the hotel is in a great location. No doubt about that. Close to a beach, close to restaurants, shops, supermarket and even a pharmacy if you need something. The hotel looks clean from the moment you arrive and the staff was friendly. The food during breakfast, lunch and dinner was all great. Huge variety to chose from. Lots of veggies, fruits, meat, desserts. Anything you can think of, you will probably find it at some point of your stay. Now, the cons of my stay and my experience at the hotel and my 6 night stay. 1. The elevators. One of the worse things at this hotel. If you're an elderly, or have any health issues, makes sure you request a room on the bottom floors. There are only 3 elevators and they are very small. Bare in mind this hotel has 9 floors, 10 if you include the pool bar floor. Most of the times I wanted to use the elevators, I ended up walking to floor 6. I was staying with my dad who is in his 60s. It wasn't pleasant unfortunately. Waiting times for an elevator to stop at your floor was sometimes up to 10 minutes and my dad had to wait for it because it caused him a lot of leg pain when he used the stairs. 2. Rooms are not soundproof. This hotel was one of the noisiest places I've been to. You could hear people laughing, coughing, walking... you name it all. Not just from rooms next door but also from floors above and below. Also I could hear people laughing downstairs having drinks. Let me remind you I was on the 6th floor. So if you want a good night's sleep, look for a hotel that has good soundproof walls. 3. Another disappointing thing about the stay in that hotel was the fact that you have to pay for all the things that you need, such as iron, a kettle, hairdryer and so on and so on. I had an all inclusive stay booked and still had to pay for all the thing I named if I wanted to use them. Every hotel I've been to so far had a hair dryer and a kettle with cups and a tea/coffee sachets in a room. Why would you even question yourself if you going to have these things in a room when you got all inclusive and paid a lot of money for a stay??? 4. The bathroom door was not working properly. It was catching the floor I wanted to open and close the door making a really annoying and loud noise. When needing to use the bathroom at night, I would always end up waking up my partner. Really annoying. 5. Being at the pool and having some drinks. Be careful when you are in the pool and have your drink placed near you on the ground. I was told off by the lifeguard that I can't have my drink on the pool ground near me when I'm in the pool. Yes, fair enough and it's respectful. I moved my drink immediately. The next day however, 6 people were at the pool having their drink next to the pool, just like I did 2 of them even had a drink in their hand. The lifeguard just watched them not saying a word. Double standards? Disrespect? Racism? I don't know but it pissed me off. Treat everyone the same. Either let people do things and don't let them do it. Don't pick and choose who can do certain things and who can't. 6. Last but not least. The trips organising people, who sit near the reception who were meant to help or even encourage people to book some sort of trip/attractions. Lots of leaflets around with 2 tables and a sign what time they are going to be there. Not once I had a chance to speak to them and offer me some attractions. They were either on a phone, or not there on time, or not there at all. 1 time they actually wanted to offer some of the trips, it was a group meeting and it was in French, Spanish, German ......but not English. We ended up walking around Palmanova and organised a couple of trips ourselves. Probably came out better this way as it would cost a fortune knowing that place.... This review is 100% how i felt during my stay and this is how I rate not just my stay, but also the people who were with me. I will definitely come back to Palmanova, but will 100% not chose Globales hotel chain. Too many disadvantages for a 4 star hotel.
