What an amazing experience at Gili Lankanfushi! From the moment you meet the team at the airport, everything is taken care of with such a warm welcome. This was my second visit, and it certainly didn't disappoint. We stayed over the New Year period, and the resort put on an absolute show—the food was incredible! Our villa was stunning as always, but having a pool this time was a game-changer; it was great to have a private swimming option when it got windy on the other side of the island. The food was a real stand out, it has to be some of the best food I’ve had and boy what a selection! I dream of the breakfast buffets! A special shout-out to our Mr. Friday, Mifsal! He has been with Gili since our last visit in 2020, which really speaks to the quality and loyalty of the team there. If you are looking for a boutique luxury experience in the Maldives, this is the place to be! We will be back!

Gili Lankanfushi is the place dreams are made of. Words don’t really do it justice but I’ll try. This spot is so breathtaking and beautiful. Clear water, rays, fish - spectacular marine life. The food was incredible. We had so many insane meals and had such a special experience in the Japanese restaurant with the tasting menu and sake flight with the sommelier, Ramen who is so knowledgeable and helpful throughout our stay. We also had incredible service from our Ms. Friday, Shaany who was helpful in arranging all things from breakfast in our room, to sunset champagne, surfing, diving, etc. She was so professional and kind. We also loved our time surfing with Tropic Surf and Courtenay & Mikah were fantastic. We had a total blast surfing with them! Gili has an incredible staff/team. So many more wonderful friends we made that worked there and we miss them all. Beautiful island, beautiful people. We hope to go back!

Our stay at the resort was nothing less than memorable and Incredible! Everyone was super friendly and cooperative. The staff is on another level and every detail was taken care of! A true experience to connect to one’s self and nature! Our Ms. Friday Shaany, made our experience even more comfortable. She was very friendly, helpful and attentive. She made our stay special even at the departure by surprising us with a drawing of us on the beach. What a thoughtful gesture! She’s truly a gem! Each and every one of the staff is a part of the lovely experience we had! Gili Lankanfushi is not only a getaway resort, it’s a community that feels like home to its customers and staff. I recommend that you ask for a host tour with the Chief Engineer Majed! You’d see something beyond your imagination! Their self-made and sustainable energy, products, and food is something truly admirable.

I genuinely don’t have the words to describe the level of service at Gili Lankanfushi — it’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The entire resort operates as if they’re always one step ahead of you. Every team member, from the cleaners to the waitstaff to management, communicates so seamlessly that your preferences are remembered instantly and your needs are anticipated before you even voice them. A special thank you to our Mr. Friday, Tesla, who made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. He went above and beyond every single day — from surprising us with a beautifully decorated tub to creating the most thoughtful honeymoon setup in our villa. His warmth, intuition, and responsiveness elevated our stay beyond anything we imagined. We also had an incredible destination dinner on the beach, which I highly recommend. Aslam, our waiter, made the evening feel magical with his attentiveness and kindness. And a special mention to Chef Mainuddin, whose fresh fruit plates each morning became something we genuinely looked forward to. Gili Lankanfushi is more than a resort — it’s a level of care and hospitality that feels almost unreal. We’re already dreaming of coming back.

A truly magical and unforgettable escape Gili Lankanfushi is an extraordinary place — peaceful, soulful and utterly beautiful. From the moment you arrive, you feel a sense of calm that stays with you throughout your stay. One of the things we loved most was how easy and comfortable the transfer was — the resort is only around 15 minutes from Malé by speedboat, making arrival and departure completely seamless and stress-free, especially when travelling with a child. The overwater villas are stunning, offering total privacy, breathtaking ocean views and a real sense of being immersed in nature. Everything feels thoughtfully designed, understated and incredibly luxurious without ever being showy. It’s the kind of place where time genuinely slows down. One of the most incredible parts of our stay was the lagoon itself. We swam daily with sharks and stingrays, which was completely unforgettable, and the water was so calm, clear and safe that we felt totally comfortable swimming every day — even with our three-year-old. It was magical to experience marine life so close up in such a gentle, protected environment. My husband also went out on scuba dives, and the dive team were absolutely incredible — highly professional, exceptionally knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do. It added another unforgettable layer to the experience. We stayed over Christmas, and the festive atmosphere was magical — intimate, elegant and beautifully done, perfectly in keeping with the island’s serene vibe. It made an already special stay feel even more memorable. While there isn’t a dedicated kids club, the resort did offer a few lovely children’s activities, which were thoughtful and appreciated. That said, we would say Gili Lankanfushi is better suited to couples or honeymooners, thanks to its quiet, romantic atmosphere and focus on privacy and connection. We did have a small issue at the very beginning of our stay, but the way it was handled deserves real praise. The team were incredibly attentive, proactive and genuinely caring in resolving it, which immediately put us at ease and set the tone for the rest of the holiday. A very special mention must go to Tesla, our Friday, who was absolutely incredible. Nothing was ever too much trouble — every request was met with warmth, efficiency and genuine care. His attention made our stay feel effortless and truly special. The food, service and overall experience were exceptional, but what really sets Gili Lankanfushi apart is its atmosphere — tranquil, romantic and deeply restorative. It’s a place to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other. Gili Lankanfushi isn’t just a resort, it’s an experience — one that feels personal, meaningful and incredibly special.
