Absolute paradise. Staff are so lovely and welcoming. Such a clean and fresh hotel. Perfect entertainment for the kids and the pools.. Well, if I could give more than 5* I would!! Just the kids water park alone is perfect. You don't even need to leave the hotel!! Perfect view either side.. The mountain or the ocean. I honestly didn't want to leave this place!! :) oh and the buffet... Amazing and so much selection of fresh foods and drinks! Also there was always plenty of sun loungers spare in good spots too!!

A fantastic family hotel. It offers everything, plenty of variety, a lovely double bedroom suite, swimming pools for different ages, a nice range of food… and the staff - they are lovely to a person. All friendly, helpful and very accommodating! It’s also a short walk down to a great beach and some yummy restaurants. Cannot fault it really

Before anyone says ignore the bad reviews. Here are the facts. The good stuff- fantastic rooms, facilities are brilliant. Food was good lots of choice. Pools lovely option for kids brilliant, lower pool quieter. Excellent. Location is brilliant for us anyway as near loads of our favourite dining. Easy to get a taxi and valet service for when we had a car was perfect. Always plenty of towels available and always sunbeds available. I also loved the fact the pool doesn’t open until 9.30. No rush! The bad stuff - staff looked miserable. We were when they striked and who can blame them! They quite obviously need paying more and look unhappy. Service was lacking in most areas. At breakfast it was chaos most days and most days we struggled to get a coffee. We mentioned this to management and they said thanks for advising. Nothing changed. Housekeeping again wasn’t great, our room was never really cleaned and on 2 days our beds weren’t changed. Lunch round the pool was hit and miss. When we left we had to get our own luggage, nobody offered to help. I was asked how our stay was and I said mixed. The answer I got back was we are full? For a 5 star I expect better. I come to Tenerife loads and have stayed at the Tivoli twice in the last 18 months which is far superior. I got a survey through and it didn’t even work. Overall facilities are brilliant for kids. We've visited this place for the last 6 years, sometimes twice a year. This year has made a once exceptional hotel a mediocre hotel. To start, when checking in they mixed all four rooms up putting wrong family members into rooms with other family members. This made using the app almost impossible, yet we were met with "use the app" when asking for help. Breakfast is chaos. We have had hot drinks twice so far in our week stay. Whilst eating our breakfast yesterday we had a cleaner sweeping up under our legs. We have yet to be able to get a bowl for cereal. The pool, where do I start with this. We have never in the 6 for me (11 for my parents) times of being here had the fights with sunbeds, people are taking towels back to the room and lining up at 9am and sprinting to get beds, some of which are not laid on until gone afternoon. Yesterday we witnessed people taking other people's belonging off sun loungers because "they had small children" so expected to be at the front of the pool. There is little to no staff on during the day round the pool. The tablets don't work. We are signing for ordered before getting the items, to then have items missing and being made to sign again. (No doubt being charged twice for the one item) when trying to liase with staff around the pool to tell them we have items missing, they have very limited English. Previous stays we had no problem with ordering round the pool, now we are lucky to get two orders the full day, and that is with fighting to get a waiter to come over. The animation team need more training on how children don't always fit their "normal" first day there was a lovely lady in maxi club, who understood my son (8) will join in for so long then when over simulated with take himself off and do an alone activity. The other days the animation team said he cannot sit on the table and stack cups as all the other children are playing together. Other children would love to be here joining in and he doesn't. To the point where she has said he cannot come anymore, unless one of his parents come to sit with him. Not listening to me that he does, want to be there, just sometimes wants to play a quiet game. Lots of new ideas when it comes to entertainment but badly executed. No where near enough seating at both the -1 and the hall where the western night took place. As we have stayed so many times we have the silver amigos, parents gold amigos which one of the benefits is late check out when going to reception to very what room we could have, we were meet with do it on the app, when stated the app isn't working and we have the silver/gold amigos the reception staff member replied "so". Unhelpful and still not sure whether we can have a late check out tomorrow. I used to recommend this hotel to everyone, but would seriously think twice about ever coming back.

Great facilities, service and food. Special mention to the animation team, especially Mika. She was amazing with our 18 month old in baby club and to our 7 year old in kids club. They had great fun on the water slides. All & all, a great holiday and a fabulous return visit to the GF Victoria. We will be back again.
