A bit of a mixed bag. The good: Rooms are spotless, a good size, and the bed is massive with a comfortable mattress. The complex is very well maintained and modern decor throughout. Waiting on staff, for the most part are very happy and pleasant to deal with. Checkout is 11:00, so better than a lot of other hotel brands. Good selection of food for breakfast and evening tea. The bad: The Christmas evening menu is atrocious, so bad we had to cancel our reservation and go to the Mercadona and make sandwiches. Fixed menu, with no alternatives, you're buggered if you have any special dietary requirements. Checking in is a long and laborious task, made worse by the fact that I supplied all the details prior to arriving via the app, but apparently it wasn't uploaded....what's the point? Kids in the adult only area, had to message the management as the bar staff didn't seem to care. This is not a bad resort by any stretch, and they do a lot of things great. However, it's not cheap and as such I would hope for a little better. It's a good place for families, but for couples hoping for a relaxing time and chill out then there are better places.

I am currently staying at the Princess Hotel in Fuerteventura, and I must say, the experience was far from what I had hoped for. First and foremost, the water policy is incredibly inconvenient. You are provided with two very small plastic bottles at the start of your stay, and these are expected to last you for the entire week. Refilling them is a hassle, and there are no dispensers in convenient locations or any options to get water in your room without significant effort. If you get thirsty during the night, you’re out of luck unless you plan ahead, which is not what you want to worry about on vacation. The use of plastic bottles, which the hotel expects you to reuse, doesn’t even make sense from an environmental standpoint—it’s just poorly thought out. The food was another major letdown. It was exactly the same every single day, with little to no variety. It quickly became monotonous, and the quality of drinks was mediocre at best. Adding to the frustration, the trendy bar with a stunning view of the beach—arguably one of the hotel’s few highlights—closes at 6 PM for some inexplicable reason. The gym facilities were also disappointing. They were severely under-equipped, with outdated and limited options that don’t cater to anyone looking to maintain a decent workout routine. Overall, there’s really nothing remarkable about this hotel. It lacks basic comforts, creativity in dining, and proper amenities. I would not recommend staying here unless significant changes are made. There are far better options in Fuerteventura that actually cater to guest needs and comfort.

We recently spent seven nights at the Fuerteventura Princess Hotel, including New Year’s, and while there were some highlights, our experience was mixed overall. To start with the positives: The garden and pool area were beautiful and very well maintained. Our room had a nice view of the beach and the sea. The New Year’s dinner was another standout. It was very well organized, with a festive atmosphere that made the evening special. Unfortunately, there were also quite a few downsides. Our room was dated and had several issues. The fridge door was hanging down, the drawer of one of the night tables was broken, and the sliding wardrobe doors were a struggle to open and close. The sofa bed for our son was a major disappointment – the mattress was so thin and soft that he ended up sleeping on the metal bars the first night. It took three requests and a lot of patience to get an additional mattress. We also had repeated issues with our keycard not working, requiring several trips to reception to get it fixed. Although we liked the quality and selection of the food, dining was another low point. The restaurant was always overcrowded, and there were frequent shortages of glasses, cups, and bowls. Queues at the food stations were long, making meal times feel rather unpleasant. Adding to this, birds invaded the restaurant and terrace areas, leaving droppings on tables and even plates. Drinks at the bars were disappointing too – the cocktails tasted artificial and overly sweet. To top it off, while the staff were clearly working hard, they didn’t come across as particularly friendly. Even the New Year’s party didn’t quite hit the mark. The band played with partially pre-recorded instruments, and their Christmas-themed outfits felt a bit out of place for the occasion. Overall, while we enjoyed the setting, the view, the quality and selection of the food, and in particular the New Year’s dinner, the numerous issues with the room, dining experience, and service left us feeling underwhelmed. It’s a hotel with potential, but sadly, it didn’t fully live up to our expectations.

Overall, a decent hotel, but nothing that makes it special. We arrived late, and the restaurant was already closed, but they offered various cold dishes. The staff at reception was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and nice. The breakfast was abundant, but so many people were having breakfast at the same time that it was almost impossible to access the food. The behavior of the guests was disheartening. Plates piled high with food, over half of which goes uneaten, not because it isn't good. The excessive waste of food is outrageous. I've never understood why people feel the need to load their plates as if they can’t eat smaller portions slowly, and if you can’t eat more, then nothing should be left on your plate. This, of course, isn't the hotel's fault, or maybe it is... The serving staff lacks professionalism and etiquette. Greetings are not common. When you ask something or request something, forget about a friendly response. At dinner, the food is almost cold. All in all, it's an acceptable hotel but nothing extraordinary. It's a pity, but a good manager could quickly set things right."

The last time we visited here we were treated very badly after spending thousands on our breaks here, we were treated like first time visitors. We got there and were given a substandard room and we had paid more to have a sea view. It was my son and I first boys trip and being a mixed race family I realised that we were treated unfairly. The room given was so bad I could not stay in it. I asked to be sent home but was given an option of another room but had to pay another £550 pounds to have it. My son wanted to stay so I paid for it. Never did I think we were getting better treatment because my partner was always handling the booking. This was last summer and we would be booking to go there but not this year now. 😳
