When you first arrived, you are greeted with a glass of wine and a nice moist scented towel to refresh yourself. The entire staff are very nice, and very helpful. There seems to be a big issue with mosquitoes around the entire property, keep your door shut so they don't get into your room. I recommended bringing bug spray. My granddaughter did receive many bites. There are a lot of activities for young children. There are alot of pools and hot tubs. We attended a show that was really great it had movie hero characters and Woody and Buzz Lightyear. We also attended a Mexican type festival dinner which was excellent that had live music, dance show, and lots of food to choose from served buffet style all on the outside table and shares set up for dining and drinking. There was also an issue with the air conditioner the second day, we couldn't get it to go down below a 72 degrees and we couldn't get the fan to go to the third speed. It was fixed immediately after we placed a phone call. The AC worked great for remainder of our stay. This resort is great for families and for couples or even a single person would fine enjoyment at this resort. There was an abundance of food which I would rate at four stars. We celebrated my son's 30th birthday here, the staff part of a bottle of wine and a small chocolate cake, and to towel animals for the bed. Sweet Corner is the go to place for hot and cold coffee drinks and excellent pastries and treats it's located near the little Mexican food truck which also has great quick food items like tacos I believe that we will go back to this resort in the future.

Second time in Cancun, first at this resort. 5 night stay. The Goods: -Nice beach. -Club level gives you access to adult only beach area. -Has adult only pool area with a swim up bar. -Did a Finest Club room- the rooms are large, room to spread out and plenty of closet space, the two story is nice, plenty of patio and roof deck space to enjoy your sunrise coffee or sunset cocktail in. -Went for a wedding, the venue is pretty solid. Standard beach wedding setup for the ceremony, obviously there are people, boats, jet skis, etc. in the background. There are reception areas right off the beach and if you get good weather it's a nice venue with a good sea breeze. The Bads: -Don't expect hot water during your showers. I had maintenance adjust the water heater regulator temperature higher, temporarily fixed the problem. They constantly are out of hot water- I don't mind a cold shower but good luck selling that to your lady. Others in my group in other buildings had water shut off completely. -Maintenance also came in our room while we were out and left the door open and unlocked when they left. -Food is decent, but not great for what you're paying. Best meal we had was the hibachi restaurant. -This place might as well be a Disney resort- all the restaurants and amenities are overrun by poorly behaved children whose parents can not control them. If you're looking for a family vacation this may be your spot. If you're a couple, I'd look elsewhere at one of the adult only resorts unless shrieking children cures your hangovers. -The airport shuttle service utilized/contracted by the resort, Seasons Tours, is downright dangerous. Our driver to the hotel was pleasant, spoke some English and was safe. Our driver back to the airport at the end of the trip was 25 minutes late from the pre-scheduled pick up time and arrived angry and hostile. He drove aggressively and made my wife and I feel unsafe, we almost got in wreck twice on the 40 minute drive. Seasons Tours tactfully does not have their own spot to do a Google review so I added them here.

Great attention to detail in exteriors and interiors. Clean and hygienic. Very accommodating in special food requests as a vegetarian - loved Shoji- fried rice and udon noodles - breakfast/brunch at The Market Kitchen, Egg whites and waffles at Duke’s Lobster. Every restaurant we had as a vegetarian was great food. Food truck nachos were refreshing alongside the fresh Coconut Water and juice blends at the Sweet Corner Cafe were amazing. Kid loved the day time/night time play area - Isabelle was so welcoming - as well as the water slides. Room service was quick round the clock to help with any requests we had for our toddler. Lovely smiling staff all around the property.

We were looking for a nice place for our daughter and us, and we read reviews of the Finest Playa hotel. The reviews were great, especially about food, but our experience wasn’t good at all! When we checked in, they told us we would be in building 2 and gave us a key, so we started looking for our room. We spent 20 minutes searching, and when we asked someone near the pool, they told us our room was in building 1, not building 2. Nobody even tried to show us where our building was or help us because we had never been there before. We had no idea where to go! The food was really bad. I was shocked when I tried the pasta and mac & cheese for kids—it tasted horrible. I have no idea why they just gave kids undercooked pasta with poor seasoning, then microwaved it, making it impossible for our daughter to eat. I even tasted it, and it was awful. The pizza in the Italian restaurant was like cardboard, I never tried so bad pizza. We were surprised that the Kitchen Market was closed for dinner, and our daughter couldn’t eat anything in the restaurants because the menu for kids and food were very bad. The service was okay, but all they kept telling us was to download the hotel app to find anything we needed. When we called the concierge, they never answered, and when asked how our vacation was, we told the truth. Of course, no one seemed to care about our experience when we couldn’t find our room for 20 minutes! The food was honestly only okay at the Kitchen Market because we could find something we liked, but even that wasn’t great. The food in the restaurants was really horrible. The steak we ordered was undercooked and overcooked at the same time—how is that possible? I’m sure the food in the restaurants was pre-cooked because everything tasted bad. The French fries were cold, and they didn’t even taste like French fries. If you’re looking for great food for your kids and yourself, this place is not it. The service was okay, but you’ll have to rely solely on the hotel app to find everything.

We had such a great time at Finest Playa Mujeres! Went for a wedding and was blown away with the service, all staff was so nice and attentive. Our ocean view room had beautiful views of the pool and the ocean, was cleaned thoroughly daily and enough room to comfortably sleep 3 adults with the pull out couch. The food and drinks were good, I wish I would have ventured out more for breakfast but the majority of my party picked the buffet every morning. The pools were very clean, I saw employees in there fully clothed a few times getting the debris the wind was blowing in. It was stormy and windy the last couple of days but the jacuzzi in the room came in handy for that time and then the storms blew over. The shows we saw were excellent, my step dad tore a muscle in his knee from bouncing around having a blast at karaoke night (at least he had fun though!). The Jamaican band and Peter Pan show were both awesome. 10/10 would recommended and revisit!
