We chose this resort for our vacation. The Resort truly went above and beyond to make our stay and overall experience exceptional. From the service to the attention to detail, everything was absolutely wonderful, and we will definitely be coming back soon! We would especially like to thank three incredible people who made our trip even more memorable: Karina from Guest Experience, Javier Guest relations Manager, Chef Emanuel, and Chef Lucas. We were at the resort for our son and DIL's wedding, and we had the absolute best time!! We were there for a week, and Finest was able to accommodate all of their wedding guests/families. There are so many people to acknowledge, but sadly I didn't get everyone's names. We can start out with the wedding coordinator, Sergio, who did a fantastic job of which our son & DIL were extremely pleased with. The wedding was seamless and beautiful, as well as, all of the other activities associated with it. Thank you Sergio!! This all inclusive luxury resort is wonderful. First visit and it's gated. The rooms are big and open with a balcony, jacuzzi. There was not a lot of closet space for my many dresses to change into. At this resort you can eat, drink and enjoy the atmosphere. However, there are a lot of iguanas, bearded dragons and an animal in the racoon family around the resort. They do not bother people but it scared me. The staff is wonderful, they offer you champagne on arrival. If your looking to shop take an Uber. I would recommend.

We came here for our anniversary and we overall had a very wonderful time. We knew it was going to be a family friendly resort, because we have stayed at family friendly resorts before, but there was way more kids than we anticipated. But that was on us since we knew it was fam friendly. The service was wonderful and all the staff is so hospitable and friendly. Our room was located in building 1 on ground level, we had a private pool which was cool but the room was located by the staff closet and ice room, so it was very noisy early in the mornings & made it challenging to sleep. You can hear people talking just down the hall from within the room. Most of the jacuzzis were not working which was a bummer. There is a lot of entertainment which is awesome! Karaoke night, DJ party, and shows. If you’re going here as a couple with no kids, I would only recommend staying in the excellence building which is for adults. But it’s definitely wonderful for families!

We recently returned from a stay at Finest Playa Mujeres after previously enjoying three vacations at Finest Punta Cana. We decided to try Mexico this time - and overall we had a great experience. The included transfer from the Cancun airport was quick and easy - about 40 minutes in a newer model SUV - which was a great start to the trip. Check-in was efficient and smooth. We travel with our three sons (16, 18 and 23), so we always book two rooms. While our room request couldn't be accomodated for the first night, it was arranged starting on the second night, which we really appreciated. Dalel, the Guest Services Manager, was exceptional both before and during our stay. She was responsive, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure we were well taken care of. She is truly an asset to the Finest brand. The food overall was good - and in many cases, above average for an all-inclusive. The only exception for us was the Italian restaurant, which didn't quite hit the mark (though to be fair, we are Italian and have very high standards!). We also found the buffet to be noticeably smaller than Punta Cana with less variety, so we only visited once for lunch. Service throughout the resort was very good. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues in our room that were handled quickly and by friendly staff. Housekeeping and nightly turndown service were excellent and consistent. We are beach people, and the beach here did not disappoint - wide, white sand and very little seaweed. A couple of days were quite windy, but we had booked a swim-out suite in Building 5 near the main pool, which is a fantastic location overall. Being close enough to hear the music and still enjoy regular drink service was a big plus. That said, one downside to Building 5 is that the main hallway area becomes a thoroughfare for wedding guests heading to and from the beachfront events. Unfortunately, late at night this meant loud, and at times obnoxious, behaviour right outside our room. We were woken up several times during the week. We were grateful our children are older - families with young kids would likely find this particularly disruptive. Areas for improvement: evening entertainment felt a bit basic - similar to what we experienced in Punta Cana. It would be nice to see a step up in that area. The biggest challenge for us is pricing. As Diamond Reward members, we were surprised that this stay cost several thousand more than our first visit in 2023 - when we had no membership status. It's difficult to reconcile that. As Canadians, the U.S. exchange rate makes a significant difference, and since we require two rooms and prefer to book directly with the resort (with airfare additional), the cost escalates quickly. The new "pay to pick your room" option also feels like an unnecessary add-on for a resort of this calibre. For what we spent this year, we are realistically considering a two-week trip to Europe next time. That said, we truly enjoy the Finest product and would absolutely return for the right price. It would be wonderful to see some targeted specials for Canadian guests. One additional frustration - the website now only allows booking a single room at a time, which makes planning for families like ours unnecessarily complicated. We'll continue monitoring pricing because we genuinely enjoy the brand and our time here. With some adjustments, we would happily return.
