It was my first holiday abroad since I was 15 and I brought my 18 and 13 year old. I read the reviews and was very nervous about coming. However I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was beautiful. Bit hilly but still gorgeous. The food was amazing, the rooms were basic but you only need them to lay your head down for the night. The staff were so friendly and there were activities on daily. We all enjoyed it so much we would come again. Don’t let bad reviews deter you from trying this great hotel. A holiday is what you make it and we had a fantastic time

We picked this hotel after reading the reviews. Upon arrival we were impressed by the entrance and Foyer, walking through the communal areas there is some pretty well kept gardens and the bungalows have a nice traditional Spanish look to them. Beds are comfortable, Shower pressure good and I like the intention towards a boutique hotel look. Unfortunately this hotel has obviously deteriorated since some of the great reviews and we were left sadly disappointed with the quality overall. Rooms were never cleaned throughly, had to inform reception as no maid attended, had no apology and when returned only the beds were roughly made. Broken toilet roll holder, rusty and mould in shower/bath, dirty balcony, rubbish and beakers were left outside our room the whole holiday. Patio door lock was broken and fixed with a hook with only one screw attached. We were unable to see out of our balcony whilst sitting as the railing has been replaced with a solid bit of wall (awful) We were all-inclusive; Fresh fruit and bread was very good, griddle chef area was a good standard, especially at breakfast with pancakes and eggs, but the quality of some foods was very low, the juice was very artificial sweetener squash, ( I recommend to take your own tea bags as the ones supplied are extremely weak) tomato sauce with pasta was very poor quality. Bacon was square and mostly fat? Gluten free area is good but there is no dedicated vegetarian/vegan area with no clear labels so be careful as some say vegetables but may have hidden meat/cheese. We enjoyed the swimming pool at the top and the proximity to the coves which was absolutely stunning. We would 100% not rate this a 4-star, repairs, better house-keeping and better quality in the restaurant is very much needed.

Not Recommended for Families – Deeply Disappointing and Misleading Our stay at Fergus Club Europa fell far below the standards expected from a 4-star hotel. The room was in an overall poor condition: worn-out furniture, visible mold, a constant damp smell, and a generally neglected appearance. The mold was never removed during the entire stay and clearly presents a health hazard. Even basic amenities such as a safe required an extra fee, something unacceptable at this price point. Despite reporting these issues, no effective action was taken. After several days I was offered a different room, but this was in a similarly poor state, so we did not move. I was also given the option to leave the hotel early, but as a single mother with two children it was impossible to arrange new accommodation at short notice and within a comparable budget. Later, management misrepresented this by suggesting I had “refused” their offer, which is both misleading and deeply unfair. Communication and management were among the worst aspects of the stay. There was no clear contact person on site, and no one could be reached by phone. Only at the very end of our holiday was an “official” manager available, who clearly did not act in the interest of the guests. After departure, I was referred via email to a higher-level manager who likewise refused to take responsibility for the situation. This lack of accountability is extremely unprofessional and leaves guests without any real support. The children’s program was also concerning. Supervision was disorganized, staff had no real overview of where the children were, and at times they were allowed to play in an overcrowded pool without proper control. For a family-oriented resort, this lack of safety is alarming and unacceptable. The dining experience was equally disappointing. Food quality was consistently low, and the dining areas were noticeably unclean, despite staff clearly trying their best under difficult conditions. For a property marketed at this level, such standards are unacceptable and raise serious concerns about hygiene and management. Other facilities showed the same neglect: sunbeds were occupied early in the morning, with no staff enforcement of hotel rules. The overall impression is one of poor organization, lack of accountability, and indifference to guests’ concerns. Given the high price and the way this hotel advertises itself, the experience is misleading and far from 4-star standards. I cannot recommend Fergus Club Europa, especially to families, and would strongly advise choosing accommodation where professionalism, quality, safety, and guest health are genuinely valued.

This hotel is situated in peguera a beautiful little town with beautiful beaches sunbed hire on beach was 22euros for 2 beds with canopy for the day. Lots of bars and restaurants and little shops. This hotel is fabulous for families great entertainment in evenings .big slides for older kids in one pool and small slide with tipping bucket in shallow pool for smaller children and a quieter pool at top of the hill if you can make it up there . They offer a shuttle bus to the beach but not on Saturdays and it doesn't run between 1 and 3 last bus from peguera to hotel was 5.45 . No shop on sight but lidil was a 10 minute stroll away . There is vending machine in reception with a small selection of treats
