Definitely not 5 star accommodations or service. Uncomfortable beds. Only half the staff were somewhat helpful and none were like usual five star service. Not terrible but nowhere close to being worth the price. Stayed in the jacuzzi suite for the last day and it didn’t work properly. Waste of money. The hotel response below will say that I did not inform them but I did inform them and spent 2 hours of my one night in that room with up to 5 workers in and out of the room. Nothing was offered for the inconvenience. The filters of the jacuzzi were plugged with black filth. The fact that management claims I did not inform them shows how poor the communication is. I am reducing to one star due to the lie in their response. The water park is nice for families and the marina area is nice with some cafes and restaurants. Pools were average. Salalah and the country is beautiful I highly recommend coming but personally would look elsewhere for better accommodations and better value.

A wonderful resort that is fully equipped with all that it takes to ensure a great guest experience. Has multiple swimming pools and easy beach access. The mirina is a two minutes walk and has nice restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel restaurant is nicely decorated. It has outside seating area by the pool and overseeing the beach. The breakfast menu is wonderful with endless varieties. Highly recommended for families.

I had the pleasure of spending my vacation at Fanar Hotel and it was truly a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, varied, and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The housekeeping team did a wonderful job keeping the room spotless every day. The whole hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and beautifully organized. I had an amazing time there and can definitely recommend it!

My experience at Fanar Hotel was very negative. In terms of cleanliness, the hotel is far below any acceptable level. The bathroom sink kept getting clogged, and the bed sheets were not clean. I even got skin rashes right after using them, which is totally unacceptable for any place of stay. The service was also poor. The staff were slow to respond. As for transportation, it was a big problem. The hotel taxis are very expensive, and they don’t allow other taxis to enter. This forces guests to pay high prices for bad service. The worst part was when I left the hotel, walked about ten minutes outside the gate, and ordered a taxi. A hotel taxi came and forced the driver to cancel my ride in a very unethical way. This shows very disrespectful and unacceptable behavior. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Fanar Hotel to anyone looking for cleanliness, comfort, or decent service. Honestly, even one star is too much.

We had an amazing stay at Fanar Hotel, and to be honest, it truly exceeded all our expectations. Traveling can often be a bit stressful for us because my wife has coeliac disease, and finding genuinely gluten-free food that is safe from cross-contamination is always a challenge. However, from the very beginning of our stay at Fanar, we felt completely at ease and in good hands. Right from the moment we arrived, Chef Emad and the wonderful kitchen team went above and beyond to ensure that every breakfast and dinner was completely safe for her to enjoy. Chef Eman is not only an exceptional chef, but also a kind-hearted and incredibly thoughtful person. His attention to detail and care allowed us to finally relax and enjoy our meals without the usual worries that come with dining out. It made a world of difference to our experience. In addition to the outstanding culinary care, we are also deeply grateful to Ankush and Shrijit. Every evening, they made a point to check in with us and ensure everything was comfortable and just right. Their consistent support and genuine concern truly made us feel welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay. Moving beyond the food, we were equally impressed by the overall atmosphere at the hotel. Every single staff member we interacted with was courteous, professional, and always greeted us with a warm smile included Avik, Neeraj and Biswas. Their friendly attitude added a lovely sense of comfort and ease to our entire trip. We would also like to express our appreciation for the fantastic animation team, especially Yaumel and Daili, who brought so much joy and energy to our experience. One of the most memorable moments was on our daughter’s birthday, which was on the 16th. Yaumel went out of his way to make the day special by decorating our table with balloons and putting on a surprise magic show. It was a beautiful gesture that created a truly unforgettable memory for our family. Furthermore, Nadia and Walaa at the front desk were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They responded to all our inquiries with patience, kindness, and professionalism, making the check-in process and all our requests smooth and easy. Lastly, we want to extend our sincere thanks to the amazing housekeeping and service staff, many of whose names we unfortunately did not get. Their hard work and dedication made our stay comfortable, clean, and seamless from start to finish. Overall, we felt genuinely cared for in every possible way. We would not hesitate to recommend Fanar Hotel to anyone visiting Salalah. It is a place where you can relax, feel welcome, and be treated with kindness. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
