We recently stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba and had the most FABULOUS stay! We are a family of five with children ages 2-8 years old, and have stayed at several high-end resorts in the area. We attribute a lot of our satisfaction with our stay to our phenomenal butlers, Santiago and Joyce! The room that we initially booked just wasn't a good fit for us. Santiago found us an incredible suite near the beach and with a rooftop pool, and he swiftly assisted in moving all of our belongings to our new room while we relaxed on the beach. Santiago and Joyce asked us for our restaurant preferences at the beginning of the week and booked all of our dinner reservations - it was lovely to not have to think, make calls, worry about anything at all! Our room was kept spotless by the housekeeping staff, and they even left baby care items with our crib (diaper pail, soaps, toys). They also suggested some family-friendly activities for us to do, such as a visit to the Pueblo and Cenotes, and a show at the nearby Cirque du Soleil. They booked these for us and we had a blast! The beach and pools were incredible. The restaurants were great - we felt very comfortable dining with our children, and everyone's needs were attended to. Our favorite restaurant was Tauro, where Eric took excellent care of us twice during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Everything at Fairmont Mayakoba is top notch. My partner and I traveled here for a conference and chose the all inclusive option. The atmosphere and wildlife was a great feature! Biking to the beach waa a good way to start the day. We had the opportunity to at dine at multiple 5 star restaurants on the property. Cesear at the Gaia restaurant and Adan at the Tauro restaurant were exceptional wait staff and very knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed drinks at Cielo, the views were exceptional and Arnoldo was helpful when we were choosing drinks to fit our tastes.

Stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba for 7 nights. What a great experience! It truly is a unique place, much unlike any other place that I have stayed. There are water canals connecting all over the property and they offer free boat ride throughout all of the canals with the captain of your boat explaining interesting things about the property and the surrounding area. As the property is quite large, there are also. Ike’s at your disposal to use to transport yourself from place to place. If you aren’t into biking, they have a team of people who are running electric golf carts around the property to take you and your party anywhere you want to go. Sometimes there is a short wait, but nothing too long. Usually you may see some coati mulling around also. Food: Tauro Steakhouse is an incredible culinary experience. Justino was my server. He did a great job helping me choose a main course. I was able to even try a new secret bar recipe that they will be introducing shortly on the menu - a Banana Negroni. The short rib at La Laguna is also incredible. Bassano Italian restaurant has excellent stone fired pizza. I had breakfast each morning at Brisas. The food there was excellent and the staff was wonderful. It is really an awesome and unique experience to be able to have breakfast on the ocean and feel the breeze prepare your body and soul for the coming day. Water sports: Then to top things off, I was able to sail in the ocean on Hobie catamarans every day of my stay. The water sports team on the playa (beach) are incredible and very helpful. I had the opportunity to sail separately with Daniel, Hecer, and Jorge. Each gentleman was a wealth of knowledge and helped me to pick up some hints in sailing these vessels. Gracias to all three of them. I really appreciated their willingness to go out sailing with me. Overall a very wonderful experience.

We had our wedding here this past weekend. The actual wedding exceeded our expectations - the staff led by Jaime Alarcon did a fantastic job! Beautiful property with several pools throughout and amazing beach area. Tons of golf carts always available to transport you throughout the resort (as the beach is a solid 20 minute walk). The spa was excellent as was the breakfast buffet at La Laguna. Added perk is being able to explore/visit the entire Mayakoba complex (including 3 additional hotels) - can actually take a boat to both the Rosewood and Banyan Tree. Amazing golf course. Areas of improvement: quality of dinners can be a bit elevated. Service can be a bit more attentive. Some of our guests tried to order room service but couldn’t even get in touch with anyone to do so.

This property is beautiful and Mayakoba is really special. I’ve never been to a place like this, where there is free, frequent transportation between hotels and around the common areas. It makes your vacation so much better, to be able to explore around the other hotels, try the bars and restaurants at other properties, and have some cultural experiences right there in the safety of Mayakoba’s gates. We were upgraded to a Signature Casita (thank you Melany and the amazing team at Fairmont!) and it was really lovely. Well appointed, great bathroom with soaking tub, comfortable king bed, ample closets and storage, and lovely Le Labo amenities. Housekeeping did an incredible job and they do turndown service daily which is lovely. We were celebrating our 21st anniversary and they really pulled out all the stops: a special welcome note was in our room and then Melany sent us some traditional sweets and a lovely chocolate cake as well as helped us with our Dia de los Muertos plans and the Mayakoba festivities. We went to MK Blue and they had an incredible celebration with face painting, dancers and stilt walkers, a fabulous boat tour featuring singers and performers, tons of drinks and food, it was absolutely amazing! Service was great at Fairmont, we loved the daily breakfast buffet at La Laguna, the lovely lobby bar with delicious sushi, and Fuego restaurant on the beach. I’d say the food on property could be a lot better quite honestly but we went off property for some meals which was nice. Thank you to the staff, especially Melany, for looking out for us and helping to make our celebration extra special. We felt very cared for by her and it was her personal touch that we will always remember. Muchas gracias!
