I’ve been to multiple Excellence resorts in different locations but this one seems to be the most disappointing one in terms of its service. Firstly I wanna call out the sports class and the gym, they are fantastic and I love our tennis trainer and Pilates trainer Angel. The bar is great as well, the bartenders were friendly and cool! Variety of choice of drinks. We loved it. Lastly, I wanna say something about the server in Kitchen Table and Las Olas. The Kitchen Table, IMO, was the cafe with the worst service. The servers seemed to be proactive, but only in the initial greetings, they never served us the drinks for more than 20 minutes after we ordered. We had to call them again and again, sometimes there was even no server answered us when we called. This happened every time when we visited the Kitchen Table for lunch. Not sure if it’s because we are Asian, because other non-Asian customers got their drink pretty fast, even if they came after us. The servers seemed to be more responsive to them as well. The Excellence in Cancun was not like this.

Celebrated a milestone birthday at Excellence Punta Cana. It was a wonderful experience. The grounds are beautiful and incredibly clean. All of the staff were fantastic. It was especially nice when staff recognized you and members of your party whenever you visited the different restaurants, attended events, or was just walking around or lounging. That was a welcoming touch. Want to give a special thanks to Bar Sol staff who were all great especially Johnkerlin who went above and beyond making sure we had amazing drinks and more at all times. Johnkerlin is an excellent member of the staff. Kendry is an amazing bartender! Fray was a waiter we had the pleasure of dining with at the Kitchen Table and Spice several times. I will definitely return to this lovely resort.

We had a really great stay at Excellence Punta Cana! Joining the Excellence Club was worth it for Magna the Excellence club restaurant. Yessica and Manauri were great there!! Also Andrely was super helpful upon our arrival and departure! And Tomas at The Kitchen Table made the best omelets!! The hydrotherapy was amazing and Delsy at the spa was great! We highly recommend and will enjoy coming back!

We recommend doing the monkey excursion at the very least. We did zip lining, monkeys, and buggy's. Zip lining is always fun. Monkeys were amazing, and buggy's were cool if you like sight seeing. Also get a massage! They have very strong hands but I wasn't sore afterwards. They are great at their jobs. Service was hit or miss. Depends on the restaurant and time of day. Las Olas never had great service. We did have great service at Oregano every time. The food was not cooked correctly at the steakhouse. The lobster house and french restaurant were delicious. The coffee is delicious and martinis are strong. Coco locos are dangerous! You likely won't be able to swim in the ocean much. The location where this resort is has some rough waves, and it's slightly more tame at the Club area of the beach, but still can't go out and float. I still enjoyed relaxing in the shade with the waves in the background. Lots of people trying to sell stuff (house keeping sold us bracelets and keychains, excursion people trying to get you to book a trip, etc...) and even though we tipped frequently, I feel like it didn't pay off for the service we got. All in all, it was a great experience. We were supposed to go to Jamaica Couples Resort until the hurricane hit. This was a good backup. Very clean and updated furniture.

We are leaving after an amazing week here at EPC. From the moment I walked in, everything was amazing. Joan started the trip by greeting me with a smile and making sure I didn't need to touch my bags until he delivered them to my room. At the Excellence Club concierge, Erak took fantastic care of making sure the check in process was seamless and helped me book the hibachi dinner at Spice and set up the spa reservation. He is a true gem. On the service side of things I have to give compliments to Danny from the Kitchen Table/Spice. He's always smiling and made sure I felt like I was family the entire stay. He's the type of person that makes you want to come here every year. Like the other Excellence resorts, the food here is better than other all inclusives in the area with Magna being the star of the show. There were always plenty of chairs at the pool. The Excellence Club Beach section did fill up fast and we often had to wait until the afternoon for chairs to open up which was disappointing. The shows were just OK compared to other Excellence resorts, but it's not a problem for me since the shows are just a bonus and not the reason for the trip.
