My husband and I came here for our honeymoon. This is our second time staying in an excellence resort. The resort itself is very pretty as the beach really feels like the focal point. There was some construction during our stay, one being Las Oslas and the other being the theater area creating a little bit of noise but nothing crazy. A few restaurants had a long wait for food, with some things being forgotten and never brought back. A few staff we encountered at the restaurants didn’t seem like they wanted to be there. The ones that did want to be there, however were extremely kind. My husband and I did have to be best friends with the toilet for 2 days (big bummer). We aren’t sure if we accidentally had tap water somehow or if it was from the steak (as we both felt ill the day after having steak for dinner).The pool, beach, and bar service was phenomenal! A few extra shout outs to Vidal(pool service) and Leonardo(blue sky at the swim up bar). Housekeeping also did a phenomenal job and were so nice everyday making sure everything was fully stocked. I wish we caught our housekeepers name, but we were staying in building one. Overall we were very happy with our stay and look forward to hopefully being able to come again or visit another Excellence resort in the future!

My wife Val and I stayed at Excellence Punta Canada from 12 to 17 November while we attended a wedding for friends of ours. We were highly impressed overall with the resort and its amenities. We will gladly return to this venue when choosing to visit the Dominican Republic in the future! Specific to the amenities, the room was comfortable and clean. They mean it when they say “all inclusive.” This includes mini-bar refills, access to the restaurants, and the alcohol available across the resort. I personally loved the activities, including the daily poker tournament in the lobby which filled my afternoons. To us, the food was above average compared to other places we have been of similar stature. This being said, it is very routine, so it might get a little bland after more than a week. Recommend definitely spreading your attendance at the various restaurants, especially “Spice” which we really enjoyed! Special shoutout here to Andrely and Joan from the bellboy and front area service staff, who went above and beyond to support us with our luggage and transfers to the airport. What a great way to end a vacation with peace of mind getting home! Thank you to the whole team – we will definitely see you again in the future!

I had such a beautiful time ❤️ I worked remotely from here for a few days and the internet in my room and on the beach was perfect !! Food was lovely, especially at the steakhouse. The best thing by far is the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, happy, and taken care of. I’m so lucky to have checked in with Anabel, because she got me set up with a lovely beach cabana. So many other folks helped me during my trip, including Jesus, Reison, Bienvenido, Juan Carlos, Antonio, Miguel, Isac, Jonathan C, Hipolito and many more. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!!

We’re having the best time here at the Excellence Resort, Punta Cana, DR. Wake up every morning with the best breakfast, followed by the sun and sand at the beach. Juan Carlos is fantastic and sets us up with our chairs under the umbrella. The staff here is Fantastic. Not a minute goes by that somebody is not offerings us beverages. We discovered a ‘Frre Play’ Texas Holdem game every day at 3 and the Berdinardo, the staff dealer, goes his best to make this fun and exciting. Last night dinner at The Grill was our favorite. Solomon, our server, made dinner the best we have had this trip. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Dominican.

Andrely, Maria, JoyBoy and Shaggy as well as everyone else on the staff were absolutely amazing. They really try to make you feel like you're right at home. The hosted events were so much fun and the hydro massage was EVERYTHING. The food was amazing! Everything was seasoned so well. the Tomahawk at MAGMA and the food in Agave was especially delicious. 10/10 will definitely need to come back again.
