This is our second time at Excellence Resort and in the Excellence Club and we had a wonderful time. The beach concierge Josue couldn’t have been more kind or helpful and our wonderful waiter Emiliano kept us well fed and with a constant drink. Everyone was incredibly welcoming! The Magna is delicious and our waitress both times we visited was Griselda and her impeccable high end service with a smile made our visit memorable. The Burlesque show was so fun the main performer was an absolute legend, she was so fun and gorgeous and Alexis was a star 🌟 We cannot wait to come back and have already booked for next year! highly recommend

We had an amazing honeymoon at the Excellence resort in Playa Mujeres !! Everyone was so happy, kind, helpful and accommodating! From the sweets that were delivered to our room every night, to the special treatment by all the staff at every restaurant we tried. It was a magical 5 days all around!! A special thanks to Sully and Luis at the excellence club beach. They were amazing!! They treated us like celebrities on our last day! They showered us with surprises, gifts and specialty crafts and drinks!!! Sully definitely made a lasting impression and a memorable last day! We will definitely be back!!

I’m writing this review because of the top notch service that was provided while sitting on the beach. We’re here celebrating our anniversary and Sully made this vacation incredible. Between her infectious happy personality to her sand art, she really made the trip special. I really hope that anyone who visits the resort asks for Sully. Don’t get me wrong the entire resort focuses on service but I just had to mention Sully in particular. I’ve been to three different excellence resorts across the Caribbean but the service here is next level. Must visit for anyone who wants an adults only all-inclusive!

We had our first, but definitely not out last, trip to Excellence Playa Mujeres. We visited for my partner's 40th birthday and had an excellent stay. We upgraded to the Club and I would highly recommend. Our favorite pool was for Club members only and it was less crowded, was heated, we had our own bar and servers (Lucy is AMAZING), as well as a pool concierge, Yeudel, who took wonderful care of us. The Club also gives you access to the Magna restaurant, which was one of our favorite dinners and breakfast location, as well as a private cocktail bar with top shelf liquor. We ate at Lobster House countless times for all 3 meals and had wonderful servers there- Antonio and Enrique. And Alfonso at The Grill was great too. Service all around is one of the best we've experienced and we didn't have a bad meal, except for the breakfast buffet. We aren't big buffet people to begin with but wanted to give it a try. All the hot food I tried was cold and the staff was struggling to replenish, and our service wasn't great. My only other complaint would be the pillows in the room and that it's difficult to find a lounge chair after 9:30am. Similarly to other resorts, people put towels down on pool chairs early in the morning but usually don't use them until close to noon. I wish the resort would enforce the rule against this. And you can request different pillows for your room, but each time we tried to contact the service line, it was busy. Other than that, our stay was lovely and we had a great time, and look forward to our next visit!

This was my wife’s and my very first visit to Excellence Playa Mujeres, and it was an absolutely lovely experience from start to finish—an easy 5/5. We would definitely come back again. The resort strikes the perfect balance: there are tons of fun activities to keep you busy if you’re into that, but it’s also an incredibly pleasant place to just chill, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff truly make this place special—everyone is warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Some of our favorite moments were the tennis lessons with Alfonso (fantastic instructor!), beach volleyball with the energetic entertainment crew, and, of course, the amazing food. Every meal felt like a highlight, with great variety and consistently high quality. If you’re looking for a resort that combines great activities, relaxation, exceptional service, and delicious food, Excellence Playa Mujeres delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!
