First time at an all inclusive resort and it was the best to have a first time experience at Excellence Playa Mujeres. The service was on point. The service men and women made sure we were happy and taken care of. When we first got there, Anis our bell hopper, gave us a quick tour and took us to our room with our luggage. He was delightful. Our first day at the beach, we couldn’t find a chairs in the beach, and they moved fast to bring them. On the pool side near buildings 6 and 7, our waiter, Angel, he was so attentive making sure we had our drinks and were comfortable. Our breakfast server Tonanituh was attentive with smiles and friendly conversations. We needed up having a few other times at other restaurants for lunch and he had the same energy and hospitality. Totally recommend this place.

This is our second time at Excellence Resort and in the Excellence Club and we had a wonderful time. The beach concierge Josue couldn’t have been more kind or helpful and our wonderful waiter Emiliano kept us well fed and with a constant drink. Everyone was incredibly welcoming! The Magna is delicious and our waitress both times we visited was Griselda and her impeccable high end service with a smile made our visit memorable. The Burlesque show was so fun the main performer was an absolute legend, she was so fun and gorgeous and Alexis was a star 🌟 We cannot wait to come back and have already booked for next year! highly recommend

My husband and I have been lucky enough to visit Excellence Playa Mujeres twice now—first for our honeymoon a few years back, and most recently to ring in the New Year. To be honest, we can't imagine spending New Year's Eve anywhere else. Both times have been absolutely fantastic; the team didn't skip a beat. The resort is stunning and impeccably maintained, but what truly makes this place a gem is its incredible team and vibrant atmosphere. Entertainment 🎤 The entertainment is top-notch, with a variety of high-energy performances each night. We were absolutely blown away by the Freddie Mercury tribute act. The resemblance was uncanny, and his energy was simply amazing—he had the whole place rocking! It’s shows like that that make the evenings so memorable. The Heart of the Resort: The Staff ❤️ As wonderful as the resort itself is, the staff are the real reason we started planning our next trip back before we even left. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and are the key to the entire experience. We spent most of our days at the Excellence Club pool, and our waiter, Floricel, was a true standout. He was wildly attentive and responsive, ensuring our glasses were never empty. He didn't just take orders; he helped us discover the most incredible new drinks and his fun, engaging personality truly made our days by the pool so much more enjoyable. Our concierges, Edgar and David, were unbelievably helpful. From the moment we arrived, they helped us navigate our time at the resort, making reservations and ensuring every detail was handled. Having a dedicated concierge team like them is so important; they remove all the stress of planning and make you feel completely prioritized and cared for throughout your entire stay. We truly felt like their only guests. We also have to give a shout-out to Cesar at the lobby bar. We were so impressed that he recognized us from our previous trip, and of course, we remembered him! He is exceptionally attentive, and man, that guy is fast. He’s a true professional. Last but certainly not least, a special mention goes to the man running the pizza oven at the main pool. He deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for his craft. He was just killing it all day, every day, serving up perfect pizzas with a smile. It's this level of service and genuine warmth from the staff that makes Excellence Playa Mujeres feel like a home away from home. We came back home so refreshed and can't wait to return.

This place is amazing! My husband and I are here for our honeymoon and we cannot say enough good things about this resort. From the rooms to the service to the food, everything has been excellent. We got the roof top terrace room. When checking in we were greeted with champagne and our room was decorated with a banner and a welcome fruit basket. The room is huge with more space than we know what to do with. It is the perfect amount of calm and lively. They have so many options for food, drinks, and daily activities to keep us busy. We have done most that are available and we are so impressed. Sergio and Gabriel are so nice and personable, we had so much fun painting cantaritos, making bracelets, and especially water aerobics (my personal favorite). We have another 5 days here and I can’t wait to do so much more. We are already talking about coming back here next year to celebrate our anniversary.

We had our first, but definitely not out last, trip to Excellence Playa Mujeres. We visited for my partner's 40th birthday and had an excellent stay. We upgraded to the Club and I would highly recommend. Our favorite pool was for Club members only and it was less crowded, was heated, we had our own bar and servers (Lucy is AMAZING), as well as a pool concierge, Yeudel, who took wonderful care of us. The Club also gives you access to the Magna restaurant, which was one of our favorite dinners and breakfast location, as well as a private cocktail bar with top shelf liquor. We ate at Lobster House countless times for all 3 meals and had wonderful servers there- Antonio and Enrique. And Alfonso at The Grill was great too. Service all around is one of the best we've experienced and we didn't have a bad meal, except for the breakfast buffet. We aren't big buffet people to begin with but wanted to give it a try. All the hot food I tried was cold and the staff was struggling to replenish, and our service wasn't great. My only other complaint would be the pillows in the room and that it's difficult to find a lounge chair after 9:30am. Similarly to other resorts, people put towels down on pool chairs early in the morning but usually don't use them until close to noon. I wish the resort would enforce the rule against this. And you can request different pillows for your room, but each time we tried to contact the service line, it was busy. Other than that, our stay was lovely and we had a great time, and look forward to our next visit!
