This resort is a nice upscale resort. The grounds are impeccable, the rooms feel luxurious, and the staff is very friendly. Our beach club concierge, Suli, went above and beyond to make it a special trip with custom drinks, sand art, and other treats. There are a lot of diverse food options. All of the food is nicely prepared, but it is very plain. It is definitely trying to appeal to everyone’s palates. Even the Mexican restaurant was bland. I think this is pretty typical of all inclusive resorts.

My wife and I decided to spend our summer vacation(Anniversary) at this newly opened hotel in Cancun, and without a doubt, it was one of our best travel experiences. The management was excellent, and the service was truly outstanding. The hotel offers a great variety of restaurants, and each night felt like a unique culinary journey — from French and Lebanese to Chinese and seafood cuisine — each with its own beautiful and distinctive décor. The pool area was amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. A special thank you to Luis for his kindness and warm attitude. The café was also delightful — the fresh croissants and the coffee were absolutely exceptional. Our room was brand new, modern, and very comfortable, with room service available multiple times a day, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Because of this wonderful experience, we’ve already planned another trip this year to the Excellence Hotel in Punta Cana. Thank you for the exceptional service — we can’t wait to come back!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Excellence Playa Mujeres. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile and treated us as if we were special. We booked Excellence Club level, but most of the time they had no idea what level we were. Every guest is given top-level service. The nighttime activities were so much better than we expected. The Mexican Fiesta was next-level and amazing. I have to give a special shout-out to Josue and Jesus at the Excellence Club beach for going above and beyond every day of our trip to make sure we enjoyed ourselves even though Cancún was in the middle of an unusual cold snap. And Angel kept bringing our drinks with such an amazing smile! Another shoutout to Sharon at the spa, who gave us the best experience with hydrotherapy and reflexology. We were SO glad we took advantage of that experience!

We just returned from our 14th visit and it didn’t disappoint. There’s a reason we keep returning and it’s the staff. There’s staff goes above and beyond every single day! Sully and Emiliano at the EC beach had us laughing and smiling every day. Sully took care of us everyday with fresh towels, daily treats, beautiful sand art and an infectious smile. Emiliano made sure we were hydrated and fed daily and even had a few jokes to share. Eduardo at the EC pool bar never failed with a drink recommendation when needed, alcoholic or nonalcoholic. Caesar at the martini bar is always a delight and puts on a show for all to enjoy. Jakeline is a wonder as a concierge. She’s everywhere taking care of everyone’s needs, fixing mistakes and introducing new staff as well as asking what do you need and making sure it happens. We were glad to meet Leslie in food services and happy to answer her questions and give our thoughts. We also met a new manager from Spain (sorry I don’t recall his name) but he was a joy to talk to with Jakeline. The staff has become family to us and that’s all the more reason to keep coming back. Every restaurant we dined at was good and service top notch. We do enjoy Magna. Pizza at the pool is a staple everyone needs to have. Great snack while drinking and hanging out in the hot sun. Los Olas needs to ease up on dress code. It’s on the beach, people won’t always have shoes on. We do miss the tapas restaurant, maybe they will bring it back one day. We had an EC rooftop which we always enjoy. They are doing some renovations but they aren’t disruptive to guests that we noticed. We will keep coming back and can’t wait to see what’s new next time we arrive.

This was the perfect place to honeymoon. We booked a week with the excellence club and it was so worth it. We used season transfer and easily found our driver as soon as we landed. We arrived at the resort and they had two glasses of champagne, as well as a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room. Our pool front room was gorgeous. The honeymoon package provided us with a free hydrotherapy session and a 45 minute massage, as well as a private beach dinner, and champagne breakfast in bed. Sully with the excellence beach club was the best. We will definitely be back!
