We had an easy check in. If we asked for help or directions everyone was happy to assist. Walking into our room we were happy. Our room was clean and comfortable. We found good spots to eat. And the stores we wanted to visit and the concert we went to see was walking distance. Not much of a gambler so can't comment on the casino. We enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a very disappointing experience at Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas on June 2, 2026. While waiting in line to check in, an employee told me not to stand in the long line and instead use the self-service kiosk. I followed the employee’s instructions. I inserted my ID, completed the payment, and the kiosk indicated that my room was being prepared. However, the kiosk never returned my ID and did not provide a room key. I approached an employee for help and explained that I had already checked in, paid for the room, and was simply trying to retrieve my ID and room key. Instead of listening to my situation or checking what had happened, the employee immediately yelled at me to get back in the check-in line. When I politely asked why I needed to stand in the long check-in line when I had already completed the check-in process, another employee was called over. Both employees loudly told me to get in line and spoke about me as if I had done something wrong. This was extremely embarrassing, especially because my 7-year-old child was standing beside me and witnessed the entire situation. I was not refusing to follow instructions—I was simply trying to get my ID and room key after completing the check-in process. Eventually, another guest in line informed me that because I had already checked in, I did not need to stand in the check-in line at all. I only needed to scan the QR code at a tablet near the front desk to receive my room key. After doing that, I immediately got my key. The most disappointing part was not the kiosk malfunction. Technology issues happen. The problem was that neither employee was willing to listen for even a few seconds to understand the situation before raising their voices and publicly embarrassing a guest. I expected better customer service and basic professionalism from an MGM Resorts property. This experience left me feeling humiliated and extremely disappointed. I will think twice before staying at this property again and hope management provides better customer service training to its staff.

Overall my experience was great. It started with the front desk people Luchie, Emy, Margie, and another. Warm, friendly, knowledgeable. They greeted me by name and welcomed me to the MGM property with a welcome bag. They had some good dining options as I tried several restaurants like Buca di Beppo, Johnny Rockets, Fatburger and the buffet. I recommend them to eat at as these places really hit the spot. The rooms were nicer than I expected.

First time staying at the Excalibur and we thought it was great - loved staying in a castle! Watch out for the Timeshare people as soon as you enter the hotel before check-in, they caught us coming in and sweet talked us into free tickets for shows as long as we went to a "2 hour presentation" the next day - there was no mention of the word "timeshare" though because if there was we'd have opted out, but we were tired and just wanted to get to our room. After looking into it though we got our money back so it was fine - we just have no interest in a timeshare. Self check in/out was straight forward enough. Staff floating around to help and answer any questions. We got offered to upgrade from a queen to a king room for $5 a day which we did - room was clean, large, had a fridge and plenty towels. No complaints! The bed was extremely comfy, it was like sleeping on a cloud. We managed to lock ourselves out of our room safe and a handyman came up to sort it out in no time, the staff are very efficient. Pool area was nice - I would recommend pre-booking the adults only pool if you've no kids. Hotel had plenty amenities - plenty bars and restaurants, convenience stores, coffee shop. We loved the hotel's location best of all - was in a great spot for heading onto the strip and it was only a 30 min walk in the opposite direction to the Las Vegas sign. Will definitely be back one day!

Honestly, I was scare for this hotel to be terrible since TikTok and some other people were telling me that this was the worst hotel ever for many reasons, but honestly no. I really liked it and never notice something wrong, I liked the hotel aesthetics and the personal was extremely kind. Ofc is budget friendly, so it’s not super luxurious, but when you visit Vegas you go and walk to the strip instead of staying at the room(? Also, we went to Vegas because of BTS, so the ubication was pretty convenient for the free monorail that connects Luxor, Mandalay and Excalibur, to walk to the alligiant stadium. A little tricky, but we didn’t spend a single dollar on Ubers, so if you are going to a concert there, I highly recommend it. Also, it is connected to the New York hotel, and that goes to the strip, that actually gave them a lot of points in comparison of other budget friendly hotels in the strip. For me it was 10/10, for the price and everything, and didn’t have any trouble. Oh and the buffet was pretty nice too.
