Needs to be updated. Checked in with the desk and was informed there about the $20.00 a night overnight parking, that I had no idea about and a $45.00 a resort fee a night. Gotta love all the extra fees. The lady checking us in was rude and you could barely hear her threw the mask she had on. Don't expect them to give you directions to your room cause they don't. The room was barely cleaned meaning not well. House keeping came once out of our 4 day 3 night stay to give new towels that was about all they did. They don't have a mini fridge in the room and clearly had a spot for it at one time. Bathroom wasn't cleaned well from the people before. I would recommend staying somewhere nicer.

I have a soft spot for this hotel. Yes, it is old. Yes, it is not a 5 star mega luxurious hotel. Yes, it is a “theme” hotel and some of you might consider that a little cheesy. It is the hotel where I stayed at the first time I went to Las Vegas over 20 years ago so, that’s why I love it so much. This was my 3rd stay since 2003 and it did not disappoint.
The location is perfect, my room was spotless, the staff was very friendly, dining options were excellent and as usual, I loved the fact that I could go to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay without having to get outside. The best part about it was the price, I paid like $75 more than what I paid back in 2003 when I stayed there for the first time!
If you’re looking for a cheap getaway trip to Vegas, I definitely recommend this hotel. I will definitely go back in the near future.

I made a reservation over the phone because their website wouldn't accept payment. I was given a discount price for getting a room with a king size bed instead of 2 queens. I was told my reservation was paid in full. I also received an email confirmation of full payment. Upon arrival to the hotel, I was then charged again🤬 It's a nice scam they have, because they know it'll be too much trouble to get your money back and go through the hassle of finding another hotel at the last minute.
Their television service was the absolute worst I've ever seen. It was much less than basic cable. I'm pretty sure it was just an antenna to get local channels. And they won't let you use Netflix. And you have to get a new key card every day to use the elevator. Housekeeping is the only good thing this hotel has to offer. You'll be much better off spending an extra $30 a day and stay in a nice hotel that offers all the comforts of home. This hotel is like a really pretty motel 6. Avoid it at all cost. And only use American Express if you do rent here. American express will refund you for this type of abuse.

Review: Excalibur Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5)
Service: 4/5 – The staff was generally attentive. However, the front desk agent who assisted me wasn’t very empathetic, which made my check-in experience less welcoming. On the other hand, the housekeeping staff was extremely kind and accommodating. I understand that front desk employees are often busy, but a warm greeting goes a long way.
Room Quality & Experience: 2/5 – The rooms are noticeably old and outdated. The biggest downside of my stay was the constant construction noise, which lasted all night and all day since I arrived. It was extremely frustrating and made it difficult to rest properly.
Casino & Location: 4/5 – The casino is fun, and the location is convenient for exploring the Strip.
Overall: While the service was decent, the construction noise and outdated rooms significantly impacted my experience. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option and don’t mind these issues, it might work for you. Otherwise, I’d recommend considering other options.

Excalibur Hotel & Casino – Excellent Service & Entertainment!
During my trip to Vegas, my family and I visited Excalibur Hotel & Casino for the Tournament of Kings dinner show. While we didn’t stay overnight, the experience at Excalibur left such a great impression that I would absolutely consider staying here in the future.
Great Customer Service & Hospitality
While attending Tournament of Kings, I had a small issue—a broken seat. I let the staff know, and they immediately went out of their way to make it right. They upgraded me to a better seat and even gave me a complimentary drink as an apology. But what truly impressed me was their generosity—they offered me a voucher for four free nights at the hotel! Even though the incident was minor, they still took extra steps to ensure I had a great experience. That level of care and customer service is rare, and it left a lasting impression.
Another memorable moment was how thoughtful and kind the staff were. One employee noticed my nephew’s birthday sash and wished him a happy birthday, then gifted him a special $2 bill. That small gesture made his day and showed how much they care about their guests.
Hotel Atmosphere & Convenience
Even though Excalibur is one of the older hotels on the Strip, it still has a fun and lively atmosphere. Here’s what stood out during my visit:
✔️ Great Location – The hotel is connected to the Strip via pedestrian bridges, making it easy to explore nearby hotels and attractions.
✔️ Arcade & Family-Friendly Options – Before the show, my nephew enjoyed the large arcade area, which is perfect for families with kids.
✔️ Spacious Casino & Entertainment – The casino is large, and Excalibur offers plenty of dining and entertainment options beyond the show.
✔️ Affordable Prices – Compared to other hotels on the Strip, Excalibur has a more budget-friendly experience without sacrificing fun.
✔️ Parking is $25 – Like most areas in Vegas, parking comes with a fee, but that’s just standard for the Strip.
One downside: The lobby and casino have a strong cigarette smell, which wasn’t great since my mother has asthma. However, once we got past that area, the experience was fantastic.
Final Thoughts
Even though I only visited Excalibur for Tournament of Kings, their top-tier customer service, fun atmosphere, and great value made a huge impression. The way they handled a small issue with such generosity means I’d definitely consider staying here in the future. Highly recommend Excalibur for anyone visiting Vagas.
