Great hotel , we loved the spa and the heated pool that was covered but was outside at the same time . Poolside was lovely and breakfast was very good. The airport bus stops just across and it’s a lovely stroll to the old town with plenty amazing restaurants around .

I travelled and stayed here with my family (husband and toddler) and our room size and cleanliness was fantastic.
The room:
We had an enormous bed for when our toddler wanted to join us in the bed but also had her own single bed that was against a wall so we were able to secure using the chairs to avoid her falling off.
The facilities:
The outdoor pool was perfect for a fresh swim but the indoor pool was nicely heated for the rainy days (we went in January so there were momentarily heavy rain).
The spa is great and recommend getting a massage!
The breakfast is also packed with a great selection those for special dietary requirements.
On our first night, we did eat at the buffet and it had a wide range of selection to cater for my vegetarian husband and my picky eater toddler.
The staff and the service:
We went on this trip to get away from the January blues for my husband's birthday. I mentioned it to one of the staff and they took this information and surprised my husband with a lovely note and flowers sent to our hotel room on the day of his birthday - thank you for that!
Each staff greeted us with a smile and were all very helpful with our toddler. We seamed to be the only family staying in the hotel at the time but we felt that the whole place was family friendly - apart from the reception where there are glass coffee tables as part of the decor. but other that that, if we were to go back to Funchal, Enotel would a high on our option list.

We loved the hotel room, but I find it offensive when breakfast waiter young man starts saying that we can not take 1 piece of sweet and banana upstairs, while he can clearly see that we have a small 3 year old child and have booked the best room there is in the hotel. Totally ridiculous when staff do not understand that family with 3 year old - they do not exactly eat when supposed to...
Not to mention I would have to say the breakfast was very poor in choice!

Great rooms, superior have fridge and tea making facilities plus extra space.
Entertainment is mainly dated. Drinks are hotel prices. Fantastic indoor heated pool with jacuzzi one end. Outdoor pool is great for short swims. Food is fantastic, great choice.

A lovely hotel in a very convenient position with good access to Funchal and also to the Lido area, in the opposite direction from the hotel. A large outdoor area with pool, sunbeds and tables and chairs. The most wonderful, hot, in/out Spa pool, free to guests. Sunbed towels and Spa robes included and provided in rooms. Kettle etc provided in our room, however, not all rooms appear to have one, but can be obtained from reception. Food is plentiful, omellettes cooked to order. Reception staff were all lovely and helpful.
