Horrible treatment during checkout. This is a nice resort, but the treatment during the checkout was horrible. You are being treated as garbage once you checkout and they make you feel that you are unwanted while you wait for your seaplane. I was traveling with 3 kids and we asked for a late checkout and were not given our room. Although we checked in on 16:00 on the first day, the day before departure we were informed that we need to checkout at 12:00 hrs. There are several issues here: 1- We were only informed the day before about the checkout time and that late checkout was not available. I had a massage appointment at 11:00 on the day of the checkout which was arranged two days prior arranged buy the villa butler. When I got out of the massage, I was told that I must immediately go and pay for extras so I was forced into a rush right after my massage treatment and the whole affect of was gone. 2- Even the villa bike (they have several) was taken away from me as "it is required for the new guests". Those new guests who are given priority will be treated the same way when they are checking out. 3- Personnel from the hotel was waiting in front of the door at 12:01 pressing out to move (we were ready and trying to do a final check of the room). I am not sure if this a single incident but looking at the experience of other members of our travel group, it seems to be an organized treatment towards guests that are checking out. Having travelled around the world and having stayed in so many hotels, this is the first time l have experienced this type of treatment.

Our stay at Emerald Faarufushi was perfect. The staff made us feel very welcome from the first day. The beach was incredible, the food was delicious, and our room was always clean and beautiful. It was a truly relaxing and wonderful experience. We would love to come back one day! Thank you Mara!

A truly beautiful island resort in the Maldives! Every staff member was warm and welcoming. Special thanks to our lovely villa host, Mara, and our amazing snorkeling guide Rahul for the turtle and manta excursion. It was truly an unforgettable experience, I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the Maldives!

We had the most incredible time at Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa! The staff were unbelievably friendly and made us feel like family from the very first day. The service was flawless, the food fantastic, and the atmosphere pure paradise. A special highlight was the cooking experience, learning how to make some of their amazing dishes was both fun and inspiring. 4.5 🌟 We loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere when we got off the seaplane. The staff greeted us with traditional music and everyone smiled and waved at us. Our personal host aslaan was the most perfect we could wish for. He was always available and gave us good tips and advice when we had questions or inquiry’s. The cleaning staff were also very kind and excellent, we haven’t found a dirty towel or missing spot. They clean two times a day so it’s amazing how organised everything is. We also loved their Food offer and every restaurant, especially the Teppanyaki Grill and their drinks were amazing. Our beach villa was breathtaking and had the best spot on the island but their water villas are also unique and very beautiful. We even got an upgrade which left us speechless and overjoyed! Our own personal pool topped the experience and we jumped right in. Their thoughtful wishes and decorations about our anniversary was something we will never forget and are very thankful for. We loved their effort and time they took to prepare something special for us. Their entertainment offer is at the sunset pool and varies on evenings, we missed most of the karaoke nights due to dinner reservations but the Food was worth it! The special bar spot eclipse on the water is really something else. You can watch fishes and sharks from your seat and enjoy the night with a good drink in hand. The diving Center was also wonderful equipped and friendly and you can book amazing experiences like scuba diving or turtle and manta diving there. They also offer dolphin cruises and sunset fishing. The only disclaimer was their water Sport Center which left us disappointed for a few minutes because the boys weren’t really friendly to us and didn’t give us a paddle board to lend. This was the only thing we were sad about but overall we enjoyed our stay and can recommend it strongly!
