Awful hotel. Advertised as 4* but a million miles away from that standard.
The room we were given was appalling quality and not as advertised. Small, dank bathroom with loose fixtures and fittings, useless shower, a loose drain hole in the floor easily big enough for a childs foot to go down, terrible finishing around the bath area. Pillows flat, sheets didn't even fit the beds properly, curtains that didn't cover the windows. Sharp cracked tiles in the balcony. Loose electrical sockets.
There appear to be some rooms as advertised in the pictures and some that are literally falling apart. The fact they still use the latter is embarrassing. It shouldn't be the expectation that you book a holiday as advertised then have to go through the hassle of complaining and relocating rooms especially if you have young children with you. My advice - make a better choice in the first place.
Food not great either. Could go on but on accommodation alone I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice hotel and staff excellent. The food is good and rooms very clean. We had a car so the steep climb to the hotel was not a problem. Waterpark is good and there are three pools. We had a great time!

A week ago, I stayed at this resort. There are many good things to say about this place, so let me start:
1. The people who work there: Paul is an amazing hotel manager who will always smile and help you whenever and wherever you need it. Dorina can arrange any activity or fix a cab on the island. The staff is extremely helpful, sweet, and funny!
2. The views: It's true that there are a lot of stairs at this resort, but this means you have beautiful views too! You can admire the wonders of Elounda’s nature.
3. The rooms: The room was very clean, and the air conditioning is definitely a plus! We had a room with a double bed and a sitting area where two more people could sleep. We had a balcony with an amazing view (see point 2). The bathroom was clean and had everything we needed.
4. The area: Elounda is a charming village with many lovely restaurants on the beach. Agios Nikolaos is a beautiful city where you can eat, shop, and enjoy a walk in the city center. I was really surprised by the beauty of this city. To explore the island more, you can rent a scooter in Agios Nikolaos and visit the villages in the mountains and the beautiful beaches.
It was an amazing experience to stay at the Elounda Residence Hotel. Special thanks to Pavlov/Paul for making our stay the best.

My wife , I and our grandson had a great time at the hotel.
We enjoyed the food / buffet very much as there were always a wide variety of dishes available at breakfast and dinner time. Even give my wife a lovely birthday cake when they found out!!
Room was nice and cleaned every day.
Pool areas were good as were the water park.
George and the team in the restaurant were always very welcoming and professional. Ilias, Anne Marie and Kris in the bar were great.
The hotel was up in the hill side which for us was fine as we got some good exercise.
Hope to go back next year.

We have just returned after a family holiday. The hotel is just amazing and Elounda is too! The majority of the staff at the hotel are so so helpful, and really couldn’t do enough for you. (Some staff weren’t as approachable).
The room was basic for a family apartment but had everything we needed, even air con included mega!. And at first we weren’t happy but we moved the room around to meet our needs and was loads better. The room however wasn’t swept and the balcony was never cleaned, cleaning was just done very basic. The room had a lovely view from our room (10).
The food at breakfast was good, a good variety of food. We didn’t really have lunch and dinner at the hotel as we ate out most days and evenings. We did stay in one night and the food was good, but cold and wasn’t served hot. Not a great selection for kids but was okay for one night. The bar staff were ace!
Overall, absolutely amazing holiday. I have been honest in this review and would still rate my stay at 5 stars. Staff, service, food, room and Elounda were just brill. We will 100% be back next year, but as a family of four not three 👌🏼
