i have nothing but positive things to say about Elounda Gulf Villas. we were so grateful for the welcoming service we received during our stay there. the staff are lovely and helpful (they helped me with a birthday surprise, see cake picture). the villas are spacious, the site of them is private and peaceful. upgrading your villa is something we recommend as you are able to enjoy more amenities such as a heated pool (if you can afford to do so). car park is available. it truly is a relaxing place to stay. breakfast included a great variety such as beans, pancakes, fruit etc. room service is efficient. for our first time in Greece, we wanted somewhere we could unwind and spend each day relaxing- we got exactly that here and we are so glad! thank you to all the staff who made our holiday as great as it was. we appreciated the morning’s we heard from every single person we walked past on our way to breakfast!

Our special holiday was made even better by our stay here. This is a beautiful boutique resort with charming villas, stunning views, immaculate gardens, and a peaceful atmosphere. Its elevated location offers exceptional scenery, while still being conveniently close to local attractions and beautiful beaches. Our experience did not start perfectly. We encountered some challenges communicating our disability and special requirements with the reservations and front office teams, and we were initially disappointed with how some birthday arrangements were handled. However, what truly made the difference was the response from the General Manager, Mr Hatzikostas Achilleas. He took the time to listen carefully to our feedback, showed genuine empathy, and took full ownership of the situation. His professionalism, accountability, and commitment to guest satisfaction completely turned our experience around and made us feel genuinely valued. The hospitality throughout the resort was excellent. Ismail, Despina, and Irenaeus were all welcoming and attentive, while Mr Yorgos in the evening restaurant made my birthday dinner particularly memorable through his professionalism and excellent menu recommendations. The restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast featured high-quality local produce, including freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs made to order, excellent coffee, local cheeses, Greek pies, and plenty of fresh fruit. The team was consistently friendly and attentive, and we never felt rushed. Combined with the sea views and tranquil surroundings, every meal was a pleasure. Although the beach club is located a short distance away, the shuttle service was convenient and the experience was well worth it. The beach and pool facilities were well maintained, and the attentive service, including thoughtful touches such as complimentary bottled water, reflected the resort's high standards. The villas were spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, with quality linens, bathrobes, toiletries, daily water replenishment, and lovely balconies. Housekeeping was receptive to feedback and ensured a comfortable stay throughout. As Hilton Diamond members, we have stayed at many excellent properties, but this resort stands out because of the genuine care shown by its team. More than anything, we appreciated the senior management's willingness to listen, take responsibility, and make improvements. We left with wonderful memories and would happily return to experience this exceptional Greek hospitality again.

Elounda Gulf Villa RUINED MY VACATION I shouldve paied more attention to reviews. I just ignored them and regret. IT IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL, IT IS AT BEST A 3 STAR HOTEL! 1. Shower booth mold: check the photo and video, we found there is mold in the wall of shower booth and asked them to clean it THREE TIMES and it has never been resolved until I checked-out. Showering in a moldy environment can pose health risks, so we have been unable to use the shower booth and had to rely on the bathtub instead, which has been very inconvenient. 2. Dispenser issue: The contents of the dispenser are not properly labeled, and there is no way to verify what is inside. After using it for both showering and handwashing, we realized that lotion had been placed in the hand/body wash dispenser. This is unacceptable and creates confusion and hygiene concerns. We unknowingly used lotion instead of soap throughout the day. 3. Hot water issue: first day morning, hot water did not work. We asked them to fix it and it was fixed. Then the second day, same issue! NO HOT WATER. We weren't able to shower properly but cold shower.. 4. Do not disturb: The house keeping entered my room even we hung the "do not disturb" sign, they entered and touched my belonings. Most funny thing is they cleaned the room without shower booth mold... 5. After entering our room they broke the sink faucet. Very amazing that they touched everytihing except the mold. 6. Undesolved compensation: I raised all these issued to the general manager to compensate my extreme inconvenience, and they promised me to refund 15% of the charge but IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED YET. We checked out May 26 that is 2 weeks ago and no update so far Overall: This experience was unacceptable and far below any 5-star standard. I strongly recommend others reconsider before booking.

Small resort with friendly staff, a calm atmosphere and beautiful views. But no 5-star quality according to Middle-European standards: The suites are very noisy and the furnature and bath equipment is outdated, the houesekeeping is poor, the breakfast buffet is good but contains convenience food, the so-called "spa" or "gym room" is tiny and had not been cleaned properly and neither pool nor whirlpool(s) are heated, much less the restaurant which provides mostly outdoor seating and is thus not recommendable during bad weather conditions (which we experienced in 3 consecutive days during our stay). Furthermore, the pool hours are very restrictive and are being enforced by the staff very strictly. Since the resort is a 35-minute walking distance from the village Elounda (which is beautyful and provides a lot of traditional restaurants and entertainment), a rental car is highly recommended.

The views are amazing just like on the website. The resort amenities are great. The main pool area is spacious and next to the restaurant so you can eat and swim. The resort had a separate beach which is a 10 min ride. The resort has transfer service all day to its beach. The staff at the beach is great and always responsive. A thank you to the front desk staff who made our stay all the more enjoyable.
