Coven Miller
The resort was beautiful and very well maintained and on a nice stretch of the ocean. Woke up every morning in a clean room with a great view. The staff all across the resort was very friendly and happy to help, except for a few which I will detail. Special shout out to Fernando who helped us get checked in and drove us around the resort our first night giving us a tour. One guy who worked for the spa, was very pushy, coming up to us while eating or in the pool, and eventually stopping us while walking sometime. We thought it was too expensive, told him so, said no thank you and started walking away. He then tried to pity us by saying he works on commission and "you tip the bartender $1 every time but won't help me" Very unpleasant with him. Another con was the seating for meals. Wrong came as a party of 7 but they wouldn't accommodate us for meals, making us split into groups of 3 & 4 or 5 & 2. This was quite the bummer and mildly frustrating when there were tables of 6 readily available and we would have happily just pulled up a chair. The excursions we're all day commitments, so we chose not to do those. The catamaran for example, was a 8am to 5pm activity. The food and drinks were okay. Not bad, but far from the best stuff we've had at numerous other resorts in Mexico. Overall, it was a fun trip, resort grounds again were very pretty and perfectly maintained, the pool was fun and the drinks were flowing. I enjoyed the trip, but I would not come back to this resort again.

We have stayed at the EL Dorado twice now. What attracted us to it was the amount of Beach front it had. I love that there is enough beds that we don't have to wake up early in order to get a beachside bed (or pay through the nose for it). Our favorite thing to do is read and look at the water which we did for the whole day (absolute heaven!) ! The restaurants have plenty of choices for my husband and I . Kaab is one of our favorites there- this time we were helped by Julian and he made our day!!! It is so wonderful to get service from a guy who wants to feed you and help!! We stayed at different locations both times but I did like the Premium suites - it felt brighter! Overall- having stayed there twice- I would want to go back again.

The setting is replete with natural beauty and is impeccably groomed. Staff are continually keeping the surroundings clean and safe. If the natural surroundings aren’t the main thing you remember, it would certainly be the delicious food. Every restaurant had delicious offerings and the service was top notch. They even have an entirely vegan restaurant. There are two young hosts who keep the entertainment buzzing at the swim up bars and everyone had a blast at their activities. We took a couple of excursions which were also excellent. All in all, I highly recommend this resort.

We had a wonderful time at El Dorado Seaside Suites. Restaurants, day activities, Evening Entertainment, room service are all top notch. Rooms are spacious, swim up rooms have an excellent view, we could not use the swim up pools as the water was cold but the ocean view made up for it. We reached at 1.00 a m and yet were able to order room service. We enjoyed every single meal from breakfast, lunch to the delicious dinners. We visited Clay Talay, Misa Casa (2 times), Gourmet Pub, Culinarium, Driftwood and every single one was excellent. Friday night was Mexico Fiesta which was very planned and we enjoyed it a lot. Saturday afternoon was Foam party which was one another fun event. Review will be incomplete without mentioning the wonderful staff that makes everything happen. They put a lot of hard work and are always very helpful. We also had Catamaran visit included in our package and that was a full day of fun activity. We highly recommend the resort and have already booked our next visit. We met a lot of guests at the resort who had been to many other resorts and they also mentioned that El Dorado was the best of all.

We stayed here in December and honestly if you are debating going here please make sure you do!! We have been lucky enough to visit beautiful hotels but this one really stands out and is absolutely 5****. From the setting, the rooms, the food, the staff - we couldn't of found something to complain about if we tried. Lots of people we spoke to were on their second or third stay there which I think says a lot - I could go on forever but just book it!!! All the staff were so friendly, hardworking and made you feel like family but a special shout out to Luis, Jose, Maria, Andrea and Ximena on the activities team. They do not stop in that heat and work so hard all day every day! Incredibly special human beings who make the holiday more special too.
