We had a wonderful time at El Dorado Seaside Suites. Restaurants, day activities, Evening Entertainment, room service are all top notch. Rooms are spacious, swim up rooms have an excellent view, we could not use the swim up pools as the water was cold but the ocean view made up for it. We reached at 1.00 a m and yet were able to order room service. We enjoyed every single meal from breakfast, lunch to the delicious dinners. We visited Clay Talay, Misa Casa (2 times), Gourmet Pub, Culinarium, Driftwood and every single one was excellent. Friday night was Mexico Fiesta which was very planned and we enjoyed it a lot. Saturday afternoon was Foam party which was one another fun event. Review will be incomplete without mentioning the wonderful staff that makes everything happen. They put a lot of hard work and are always very helpful. We also had Catamaran visit included in our package and that was a full day of fun activity. We highly recommend the resort and have already booked our next visit. We met a lot of guests at the resort who had been to many other resorts and they also mentioned that El Dorado was the best of all.

Food & Restaurants: Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment of the entire stay. There are about 5–6 restaurants, but the variety and quality were very poor. Only three restaurants require reservations, but even then, only the Italian restaurant was decent—everything else we tried was very bland or just not good. Breakfast had limited options except for one restaurant that had a bit more variety. For lunch and dinner, the non-reservation restaurants were especially disappointing. Compared to other resorts I’ve visited, the selection here was extremely limited. Service & Facilities: Customer service was okay—not great, not terrible. The shuttle service inside the resort was fine. The beach, however, was not very enjoyable. It’s not very sandy, has a lot of rocks, and the water sometimes had algae, so it’s not a beach you can relax in all day. Entertainment: There is almost no entertainment throughout the day. During daytime, the only activities were volleyball in the pool and a foam party on Saturday. At night, they had live music at 9 PM every evening, and only one night (Friday) had a proper Mexican dance show, which was good. Overall, the resort is very quiet—good if you want peace, but not ideal if you’re looking for fun or activities. Room & Reservation Issues: On our first day, they booked our à la carte restaurant times at 9:00 or 9:30 PM and told us everything earlier was already full. I found that unacceptable for guests who just arrived and are staying an entire week. Later, after trying the restaurants, I honestly wouldn’t have bothered booking them at all. On the last day, our flight was at 11 PM, and since we had two rooms, we asked to keep just one for a late checkout. They told us the hotel was “full,” but we clearly saw many empty rooms. Instead, we had to stay around the resort with no room until 6 PM when our airport pickup arrived. This was very inconvenient and disappointing.

This is a great place to go for so many reasons!! Adults only to begin with! It had a mostly chill vibe. We were for only rest and relaxation this trip. The room was awesome! Comfy bed, places to sit and the view was great in the morning especially! Lots of cool different bars on both sides of the resort. The food was amazing! Lots of choices for a la cart and a couple decent buffets. The grounds are beautiful on both sides for obvious reasons! All the palm trees and sand you need! There are lots of Bali beds and beach chairs! We were able to get a Bali bed every day and we slept in most days! It’s not a postcard perfect beach but it is great and you can swim along the whole thing. The staff were great! Friendly and helpful. The resort is a great place to have a great vacation! Be prepared to walk a little on this resort. There are golf carts to take you around as well. I liked to walk off the food and take in all the sites! We had serious issues with the booking agent, Sunwing Vacations and will never book with them again. Ever.

Our stay at El Dorado Seaside Suites was fantastic. So many fun things to do on and off the property and many ways to relax. The views are beautiful, the hotel is clean, the food was fantastic! Everyone was so kind and accommodating and we hope to return again! Our first night (2-12-25), we went to the fire show and Antonio was our waiter. He was absolutely amazing. Our spa day on 4-12-25 was excellent and Sofia and Carolina did an amazing job. Victor was our waiter at gourmet pub on 6-12-25 and he was absolutely wonderful. Benjamin was so much fun and funny when we played water volleyball! Lastly, Damian and Ivan were our bartenders at the Swim up pool bar at the main pool. Ivan and Damian were so kind, patient, attentive, funny, and kept the area very clean.

We had a fantastic time at this resort with so many amenities. The only downside was the hotel needed maintenance and the food wasn't as great as expected. There were lots of food options though, so you can find something you like (be sure to book the italian or asian!). The beach was great with so many belly beds (wish we brought snorkel stuff) but the pool was the star! Luiana and Benjamin were so entertaining! We spent a great week here and, even being in our 30s thinking beforehand that this would be more for mature adults, found that the nightlife and atmosphere were inclusive and diverse.. so fun meeting new friends! My other note would be that there was a bit of selling. We did the presentation and liked the offer but declined as it felt a little pushy, but worth it for the free gifts. We loved our swim out room on the Seaside Suites side (you have access to the Palms resort next door too-super close to walk) and the service was incredible from the entertainers to the maids, plus room service and golf cart shuttle rides! I would definitely come back. Thanks for a great anniversary trip and our surprise!
