We felt that the communication during our stay was quite poor. When we arrived in the middle of the night, our cart driver was very good at letting us know about ordering food through the night, via room service. When we woke the next day, we didn't know where to go for breakfast or where any of the restaurants were. There was no information in the room either. A "welcome" email would have been good explaining how to find out where things / places were, etc. Also, we were not told we could not use the Casitas pool beds, and embarassingly, a hotel agent had to come and explain to us, which was embarassing for us and the staff member. Overall we had a great time, and the room was very clean and the maids did a great job. The food, though cold on occasion, was mainly tasty and good. The Mediterranean restaurant was unforgivingly cold and that spoilt our experience there, unfortunately. We spent alot of time over at Maroma Beach, which was fantastic. The staff at the resorts were amazingly good and we feel they are a tremendous asset to the resorts. Especially Itzel and Hilda, who were always making sure everyone was happy, and they made our day with their smiles and kindness to see them happy and smiling. Overall a fabulous holiday. Thank you

The resort itself is beautiful, and the staff is exceptional. Luis at the beach bar near the volleyball area was especially wonderful—please let him know we will miss him and send our regards. Gabi and Hugo in concierge were also really helpful and kind. The rooms, however, could use some attention. We paid extra for a swim-up beach-view room, but it felt a bit worn. The paint, flooring, and furnishings did not coordinate well and gave the space an unfinished feel. Our biggest concern was the dessert offerings. Six of us stayed for a week and only found two desserts that were enjoyable. Many of the gelatin-style desserts with coatings may have a long shelf life, but they detracted from the overall dining experience. While we understand the logistical challenges involved, offering a selection of desserts that guests genuinely enjoy would significantly enhance the stay.

The food was fantastic. The amenities were amazing. We had a day at the Waterpark free! We had 4 excursions included. The pools and grounds were beautiful. The service was terrific. The lady who cleaned the room,Elizabeth, left chocolate and was friendly and thorough. The bathtub was massive. Diego, the concierge offered so many extras and was very helpful. This was the best resort that I have ever stayed at. We will be back. The only feedback I have is regarding the glass swing door to the restroom in the room. Beyond that it was perfect.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed and cared for — it truly felt like home. Every department we interacted with was incredible; the teams handling setup, hospitality, and event services went above and beyond to make our entire stay and wedding weekend seamless. The property itself is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the food… absolutely AMAZING. A very special mention to Chefs Abhishek and Gagan, who exceeded every expectation. They put so much heart into every dish, and our guests are still talking about how incredible every single meal was. If you’re looking for a beautiful tropical wedding venue with top-tier service, delicious food, and a team that genuinely wants your day to be perfect, El Dorado is THE place. Everyone is so welcoming, cheerful, and truly eager to help. We absolutely loved it here and will definitely be coming back. 💛🌴✨

We were very impressed with our stay at the El Dorado Royale. The staff friendliness and accommodating guests really stood out for us. The luxury junior suites with garden view were actually very nice for a change compared to where we stayed previously. Speaking to other guests that frequent the resort they prefer this place over anywhere else in Cancun and we would agree. I personally have only been to 3 others and this one is by far the best value and best overall as well.
