The hotel is probably a little way off the main attractions for some people, but it's only a short taxi ride or about a 15 minute walk away from the bars, restaurants and shops with the lovely beach just a few steps further.
The hotel itself is very good with nice pools and always somewhere you can get something to eat and drink.
A little shop on site can provide most of your extra holiday supplies if you are all-inclusive.
The food is of good quality but lacking a little on choice.
Rooms are what you would expect, clean, plenty of storage, and very comfortable beds.
We had to hire a kettle for our stay as not supplied in the room.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly, especially the bar staff where nothing is too much trouble.
The evening entertainment is very good even though we visited off-season.

BEWARE OF THE MOSQUITOES!! They are relentless out here!!
Almost to a point it will ruin your holiday. Despite sprays, aerosols, candles and other repellents it made no difference. Many guests had to visit the pharmacy for steroid creams as they got infected from the mosquito bites.
Pools were great and Manuel the lifeguard was excellent with his help and advice from the mosquitoes.
Rooms were ok but could do with a lick of paint to freshen them up.
Food was fine with always a good choice available.
Overall we enjoyed it but would be put off from returning due to the mosquitoes.

We stayed in this hotel for 5nights half board.
Overall nice hotel and good facilities. Will list the pros and cons with this hotel:
Cons:
- Breakfast options - definitely not offering what all other 4 star hotels offer
- Having to pay £10 deposit as well as €2 daily charge for a kettle. I thought that is not reasonable a 4 star hotel
- Rooms seeing wear and tare
Pros:
- Staff friendly and hard working. Shout out to Victor at the reception.
- Dinner does offer good options compared to the breakfast. We both like our fish, plenty of fresh fish options for dinner
- Adult pool is great, plenty of sunbeds and relaxed atmosphere.
- Bonus they offer a free bus shuttle back and forth to the beach in the day which definitely helps when itd too hot
- Location is really good, away from hustle and bustle but still only 10 minute walk to the beach, shops and restaurants
Please note that we did not check the entertainment as they were mainly catering for the kids.

What an amazing 4 star hotel. Me and my partner have really enjoyed our stay and we’re sad to go. Our room was great with a lovely view of the pool from our balcony. The staff were all excellent and hard working, we were more than happy to give out tips. The wee market on site made our life so much easier with everything we needed and the location was great for us, with a short walk to the beach shops and restaurants and also a free bus that takes you to the beach every 30 minutes. We had some really fun days out and some fun days in when the weather wasn’t so great :)
The food was average, some days better than others (all inclusive) it did get repetitive. Would have been better labelled as i’m sure we would have tried more than we did. We made the most of it with the desserts and drinks so definitely recommend all inclusive when staying here. The walls aren’t soundproof, you can hear conversations from next door but luckily we had quiet neighbours. The pools are great, cold at this time of year but didn’t stop my partner 😂
I would definitely recommend this hotel, it was so much fun and would love to come back.

Just returned from a wonderful week's stay as a family group of 12. This hotel cannot be faulted at all. Rooms were immaculate, food, entertainment, staff, pools were all first class. One downfall were of course the mosquitoes , but if you visit the chemist 15 minute walk away, they will sell you an amazing spray that will keep you bite free. Cost around 20 euro, but we'll worth the money. We'll done Lagotel, will 100% be returning.
