The resort far exceeded our expectations and our main regret was not staying longer here. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The place has a serene, peaceful and calming atmosphere away from the busyness of Muscat. The grounds are immaculately maintained, with roses, flowers and fruit trees everywhere - the smell is amazing! We would love to come back in the spring when everything is in bloom. We used the kids club facility for our 3 year old whilst we did the high ropes experience. The kids club host Sonali was excellent and my son was very happy and comfortable around her. It’s well equipped with toys and activities for all ages - he actually didn’t want to leave! The high ropes was a truly unique experience with expert tuition from our instructor. We also loved the pool. The food here was superb and I couldn’t fault the breakfast or dinner at the Veranda restaurant. They do the basics very well (great coffee, fresh squeezed fruit juices, omelette station) with tons of variety and the local dishes were delicious. Getting there requires a 4WD car to pass the checkpoint before the ascent up Jabal Akhdar, but the roads themselves were very easy to drive on. Local to the hotel are various walks through historic villages, stunning viewpoints and Rosewater plantations. Special mention to Adil (and front desk team) for the great recommendations and hospitality, and kitchen + restaurant team for the wonderful food.

We had a wonderful stay at Dusit D2 Naseem Hotel, Jebel Akhdar! It’s a beautiful and spacious property, surrounded by nature and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We stayed in a Deluxe Room, which was clean and comfortable — not too big but just the right size for a cozy stay. Our room had a lovely balcony with a beautiful sunset view, which made the experience even more special. (There are other room types available as well, but ours happened to face the sunset.) What truly stood out for us was the exceptional service. All the staff members were incredibly accommodating and service-oriented, always ready to help with a smile. There are rental bikes available — both electric and regular — which you can hire for about 30 minutes to ride around the property. It’s a great experience, especially when the weather is nice. The adventure park is another highlight, perfect for adventure lovers or kids who enjoy a bit of excitement (minimum height requirement is 130 cm). The breakfast deserves a special mention — the weekend spread was absolutely amazing with a wide variety of delicious options, and even on weekdays, the buffet was impressive with English and Arabic selections, pastries, and live stations. The pool area is also very well maintained, with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the mountain breeze. Overall, a lovely property with excellent hospitality — perfect for a weekend getaway, especially when the weather is cool. Highly recommend!

Overall, the hotel was a great experience and the location is excellent. My kids and I especially loved the adventure zone — it’s the perfect mix of fun and challenge. The hotel offers a wide variety of activities, from zip-lining and climbing walls (I didn't try this only saw it) to obstacle courses, plus indoor options like table tennis and billiards. They even have scooters for rent, which added an extra layer of excitement to our stay. Honestly, there’s something for everyone in the family, and I really appreciated how well they catered to kids too. My only drawback was that the room phones weren’t working, so I had to walk to the reception for any request or call from my mobile like an outsider — which was a bit inconvenient. Overall Still I consider it A fun, active, and memorable stay for all of us!

Our stay at dusitD2 Naseem Resort was amazing, but what truly made it unforgettable was Mohammed. He is genuinely one of the kindest, most helpful, and thoughtful people we’ve ever met at any hotel. From the moment we arrived, he went out of his way to make sure everything felt smooth, comfortable, and personal. His warm energy, professionalism, and willingness to help with absolutely anything made a huge difference throughout our stay. Whether it was answering questions, arranging small details, or simply checking in on how we were doing, he always did it with sincerity and a big smile. People like Mohammed are rare — the kind of staff member who elevates a hotel experience from great to exceptional. Thank you, Mohammed. You made our time here truly special. Don’t expect a view when booking this hotel. Most rooms face other hotel buildings while the rest overlook a dusty area. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed us about a happy hour from 5–7 pm, so we ended our pool time early to attend it. However, when we arrived at the bar, the waiter told us that happy hour had ended the day before due to the festive season. Even after explaining that we came specifically because of the information given at reception, the staff showed no concern and made no effort to resolve the situation. We were completely alone on the terrace, with no music, no atmosphere, and no happy hour. Later, we were told there would be a music program at 7 pm, but by then we had already had several drinks and couldn’t stay any longer, so we left quite disappointed. The receptionist also sold us a buffet dinner for two for 26 rials, but failed to mention that there was an à la carte restaurant available. The buffet food selection was poor, bland, and mostly tasteless. It was very overpriced for what was offered. The swimming pool is not suitable for swimming. It is only 1.2 meters deep at its deepest point. Even though the hotel was half empty during our stay, I can imagine how overcrowded the pool area would be when the hotel is full. Breakfast was slightly better than dinner, but the bread tasted stale, as if it were days old. One final issue: in front of our room there was a plate with a partially eaten piece of cake, likely left by a neighboring room. It remained there from our check-in until our check-out the next day, untouched by staff, which was quite unpleasant. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations and showed a lack of attention to detail and guest care.
