We did not have a reservation but they managed to fit us in for the night. We were very impressed with the size of the room and the cleanliness of the Drury Plaza Hotel. The staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful with our unscheduled stop. The pool area is spacious, we all had a great time. They offer a complementary breakfast from 6am till 10am. Great food. They also have a make your own Mickey waffle station. We recommend you take a look at this hotel if you want to stay in the area.

15 minute walk (2 minute drive) to Downtown Disney/Disney Springs. Room was very clean, large, comfortable. Big TV. Bed wasn't too bad... more on the firm side. Since the room was large, it took awhile to cool down, so lower the air when you first get in. Bathroom was big and clean. Pool area was big. Upon check in, they offered free alcohol drinks. Wasn't expecting a free breakfast (6am-10am), but the dining area was like the floor of a cruise ship (size and layout). And the food was good. That alone is worth another stay... fuel yourself up before hitting Orlando. That's the way! Great business model!

I had a few questions to ask because I am planning a trip to Disney so I called and talked to a lady named Sarah. She was super helpful! She answered all of my questions and then some!!! Super cheerful and knowledgeable about my Disney related questions!!! This hotel has better amenities to offer than some of the Disney Resorts themselves and the reason I know is because I have stayed on property quite a few times! This hotel is the perfect place to stay as far as off property goes while getting all the perks of being on property!!! This was a brilliant idea!!! Take it from someone that visits Disney often!!!!

Really impressed with this hotel. I was here by myself for a conference, but I can see how it would be extremely appealing for families. Food: the free dinner is a huge plus, especially since you get 3 free drinks. The food is nothing amazing, but it's good, it's quick, and I think there's enough variety kids would have no problem eating it. After a long day, it's awesome to be able to just sit down and eat immediately instead of finding a restaurant. Breakfast is decent too, standard hotel breakfast. I had lunch at the poolside bar, and it was decent, but expensive. $15 plus tax and tip for a chicken sandwich with some potato chips. Pool: there's some older photos kicking around online- the pool is huge. There's not a big kids area (just a small shallow section), but there's a separate splash pad. There's a lap lane but it's not sectioned off, and it's pretty much impossible to do laps since the pool is always busy. There's no lifeguard or rule enforcement so it's kind of a mess with unsupervised kids, people drinking, food trash, etc. I would prefer if there was a roped-off adults section. Water temperature was great, and its full salt water like the ocean. Staff: everyone I interacted with was SUPER friendly. The hotel was extremely busy, and I was really impressed how much the staff kept up such a positive and friendly attitude. Gym: decently well equipped. Plenty of treadmills, and a few machines and some free weights. Comfortable temperature. Location: a bit far to walk to Disney Springs, but doable. If your room overlooks the pool, you'll have amazing views of the drone shows at Disney Springs and the fireworks at Epcot. You can just barely see the Disney fireworks. Otherwise, there's not much around and you really need a car to go anywhere. The shuttle is focused on the theme parks only. Rooms: standard hotel rooms, everything was in good condition and looked to be fairly new. Some of the best pillows I've found in a hotel- they actually have some support and don't compress in to nothing. Expect a lot of hallway noise from 6am-midnight with slamming doors and running children. Overall, this hotel was great. Just expect a resort-like attitude and not your standard small Hilton or Marriott.
