Dreams Tulum was an overall spectacular experience, the staff was a 10/10. Edwin at the bar, Reyes at the pool and Saturnino were exceptional. Very kind people and amazing service. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the food is amazing. I recommend the chicken consommé. Thank you so much, such a fun time!

We have been here the past 4 days (7/28/25 - 7/31/25) and have not had the best experience. The staff and people are great! Great service & friendly people!! Food has just been okay. The worst part about the experience is the dress code to go eat. You are at a beach/pool resort and men can't wear sleeveless shirts to go eat anywhere. I understand proper attire but not being able to go from the pool with dry clothes to eat is ridiculous. Now if this place was an immaculate, top notch food, and up to date resort; sure I get the dress code. This is not the type of resort that should have a "dress code". There has also been a wait at every restaurant we tried to go to. We also arrived at the resort at around 1pm knowing that check-in was around 3pm we knew we would have to wait; but not getting our room till 6:30pm was just not acceptable!! I do not recommend Dreams Cancun. 😐

The service at the Preferred Breakfast is fast, friendly and efficient. They always make my family feel special. Edgar always has a smile, has a great sense of humor and make the experience personable. He has memorized our breakfast order and makes us feel special. The staff members that bring the food out are attentive and always in a good mood. The mimosas are amazing, with a nice touch of a cherry and blueberry. They keep us coming back for more! Very well done.

Beware of Timeshare Scam at Dreams Spa & Resort Mexico Our experience was extremely disappointing. We were told we’d attend a quick 60-minute tour and discussion about the amenities in exchange for a small incentive and to help promote the resort with good reviews and referrals. Instead, it turned into a 3-hour aggressive timeshare pitch—a complete bait-and-switch. The most concerning part? As soon as we declined the timeshare offer and tried to leave, their demeanor changed drastically—becoming rude and dismissive To make things worse, at check out they charged us for services we were promised would be complimentary for participating. When we tried to resolve the issue, the managers were rude, unhelpful, and disrespectful. They even lost paperwork we had signed within 12 hours. The only positive part of our stay was the amazing chefs and hardworking staff behind the scenes. Unfortunately, the front-end management and sales tactics completely ruined the experience. Be very cautious if they approach you for a “presentation.”

We were there for a wedding. I will say the wedding itself was very beautiful. This is listed as a 5 star resort and we had several complaints. For one there’s only two small pools and one with a swim up bar. Often kids were in the way and we couldn’t even order. The beach was covered in seaweed and we weren't ever able to get even close to the water. The seaweed was also very potent and made the resort smell like rotten eggs (all resorts I have been to typically clear the seaweed daily). The food provided wasn’t poolside for lunch. So they only had a seaside indoor grill and buffet everyday for lunch that you’d have to get dressed for and when you’re laying by the pool. They don’t offer poolside food unless you pay for a cabana. Everyday for outside food they only offered fries, burgers, and hotdogs which day after day there weren’t other options. The rooms provided had terrible water pressure and most of our friend’s rooms didn’t have great AC and the closet lights wouldn’t shut off and kept most people up. The day of the wedding. Our entire rooms power went out as well. The bride wanted to have the wedding party eat together one night and the front desk told us that all restaurants only allow about 8 people on a reservation unless you buy two bottles about 200 dollars each which I think is awful just to push two tables together when most wedding parties have more then 8 people and they’re spending a large amount of money to already have better accommodations. I felt most everything they want you to spend extra money for accommodations to simply just allow people to enjoy their time and eat together. The only positive I would say is the spa. They were very accommodating and provided an excellent spa experience. If you plan on choosing a resort. I’ve consistently had bad experiences with Hyatts so I would dodge this one. There are resorts that are way cheaper that care more about their customers and accommodate way better. Save your money. Go somewhere else.
