Disappointing Stay Despite Great Entertainment I stayed at Dreams Tulum from June 26 to today in an ocean view room, visiting with a large group for a wedding. The highlight of our stay was definitely the entertainment team, they did a fantastic job keeping everyone engaged and having fun. The spa was also a nice experience and worth mentioning. My wedding planner also was great. Unfortunately, the overall hotel maintenance and service left a lot to be desired. The cleanliness of the rooms wasn’t good, garbage often wasn’t taken out, and fresh towels weren’t replaced unless we asked. Many in our group had issues like broken phones, safes that didn’t work (in my case, this was constant), and even air conditioning that was out for an entire night in one room. The food was very disappointing, especially for the wedding dinner. We select meat for main meal, but everything was so overcooked that people couldn’t even chew it. Although the resort advertises eight restaurants, they close two every night for “maintenance,” and the sushi spot only opens once a week for just 16 guests. This created long waits sometimes up to three hours, just to get a table at the remaining restaurants. The buffet was okay but nothing special, and the overall food quality did not match the price we paid for the stay. The staff in general were friendly, but the restaurant hostesses were not the most welcoming. Also, be aware that the prices at the on-site pharmacy were shockingly high. Overall, while the entertainment and spa were nice, I can’t recommend Dreams Tulum. The hotel needs to improve its basic service, room maintenance, and dining options if they want to meet guests’ expectations for what they charge

Benito Mojito was amazing from the start of our trip to the very end. He was so attentive and always in a happy and approachable mood. He memorized our drinks and knew when we needed our refills. He was also very attentive to our kids and made sure the kids always had something to drink. We look forward to seeing him again and he made us feel like family. We made our stay just that much more enjoyable!!

We have been here the past 4 days (7/28/25 - 7/31/25) and have not had the best experience. The staff and people are great! Great service & friendly people!! Food has just been okay. The worst part about the experience is the dress code to go eat. You are at a beach/pool resort and men can't wear sleeveless shirts to go eat anywhere. I understand proper attire but not being able to go from the pool with dry clothes to eat is ridiculous. Now if this place was an immaculate, top notch food, and up to date resort; sure I get the dress code. This is not the type of resort that should have a "dress code". There has also been a wait at every restaurant we tried to go to. We also arrived at the resort at around 1pm knowing that check-in was around 3pm we knew we would have to wait; but not getting our room till 6:30pm was just not acceptable!! I do not recommend Dreams Cancun. 😐

My husband and I came to Dreams Tulum for a wedding. We chose a Preferred Club Suite with a King bed and a swimout. The room is a good size and is well-laid out, but has very dated elements, including an older model LG TV with no apps, a dearth of available plugs (especially near the bed), scattered controls for the lights, and very little drawer space if you're like me and prefer to unpack. Also of note is that the AC was never able to get the room temperature to (much less below) 21°C (70° F) and the temperature in our room stayed around 22.5°C / 72.5°F, which is a little warmer than we would have liked. The food at the restaurants was above average or very good, with nothing spectacular but no major misses either. The service throughout the resort however was always very good. The resort is located on the beach, but it was completely full of rotting seaweed. We stayed away as did everyone else as far as we saw, and the beach cabana were empty. The biggest problem at the resort were the hordes of mosquitoes. On our arrival, there was a special outdoor event for dinner, which meant that most of the restaurants were closed and patrons were encouraged to attend the event. I saw that staff were using liberal amounts of "Off" and then I saw why; the mosquitoes were all over the event space. Needless to say, there was a long line at the on-site pharmacy for mosquito repellent (at $30 / bottle). While I understand the location and time of year, I would have expected a Hyatt resort would have put as least as much thought into the guest experience as the staff clearly did for their own. However, I don't believe that this place is a good value for the price. TL;DR I recommend giving Hyatt Dreams Tulum a pass. If you're here for an event, bring plenty of bug repellent, but you will likely enjoy the food and the service is really good. But the dated rooms and infrastructure, coupled with the swarms of mosquitoes, suggest looking elsewhere.

Benito mojito is the best pool side guy. His service is to the T. His pool side manners is great, always serves with a smile. His service was impeccable to drinks and food service. Towel and chair service was amazing. He went beyond his service to help me. I’m in a wheelchair and made my visit amazing. I watched him give everyone the same service as I received.
