We absolutely loved our stay at Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa! We stayed there in April for a romantic birthday getaway, and it could not have been more perfect. What made the trip even more special was being able to share the experience with my daughter and my mom, creating memories together that we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed, relaxed, and truly cared for. The resort itself is beautiful, the beach views are breathtaking, and the atmosphere was fun, peaceful, and romantic all at the same time. We spent our days enjoying the gorgeous water, delicious food, and quality family time together. One of the most unforgettable moments of the trip was the private birthday dinner my fiancé Raymond planned for me right on the beach. It was absolutely beautiful and so romantic. We enjoyed lobster tail, filet mignon, champagne, and the most incredible ocean view while listening to the waves. It truly felt like something out of a movie and made my birthday so incredibly special. The service throughout the resort was wonderful, the property was clean and well maintained, and every part of the experience made us feel spoiled and appreciated. If you are looking for a place for a romantic getaway, birthday celebration, or memorable family vacation, we highly recommend Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa. We are already talking about going back!

During my recent visit to Cancun, from May 29th to June 2nd, I consistently experienced exceptional service and remarkable culinary offerings at your establishment. The staff consistently demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and respect towards all guests. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the individuals who contributed to making our vacation truly outstanding. Specifically, I commend Lisiadro and Pascual from the Olea restaurant by the pool for their excellent assistance, and supervisors Andy and Federico, also from Olea, for their diligent oversight of our dining experience. Furthermore, I extend my gratitude to Guadalupe at the buffet area, who promptly and effectively resolved a dietary request for my child, ensuring a satisfactory outcome. Thank you.

We stayed at this resort from May 28 to June 6 for our wedding, and both we and our guests enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like VIPs. They greeted us at the entrance, assisted with our luggage, escorted us to the Preferred Club area, and offered us beverages while we checked in. We were then taken to our upgraded suite, which had panoramic ocean views, a spacious living area, large bedroom, two bathrooms, and a jacuzzi. Ricardo from the Preferred Club and Aurora at the VIP desk were exceptional throughout our stay. One additional note regarding the Preferred Club: we were fortunate to receive it as a complimentary upgrade and especially appreciated the check-in experience and breakfast area. However, if we had been paying the additional cost ourselves, I’m not sure we would have found it worthwhile. The Preferred Club pool was consistently full, so we were never able to find seating there and instead spent our time at the beach, which is shared with non-Preferred guests. Aside from check-in and the dedicated breakfast area, there did not seem to be many significant advantages to the Preferred Club experience. Housekeeping was excellent and maintained our room well every day. Throughout our stay, there were several complimentary bottles of champagne and treats in our room before and after our wedding which was appreciated. The food was generally good and met our expectations for an all-inclusive resort. Frederico, the Food and Beverage Manager, was outstanding and arranged a family dinner for 13 people the night before our wedding, which we greatly appreciated. The service that evening was fantastic. Drinks throughout the resort were also very good and noticeably higher quality than at many other resorts we have visited. One disappointment was the beach. There was a significant amount of sargassum during our stay (photo attached), and the beach did not resemble the resort’s promotional photos. If having a clear beach for swimming is important, I would recommend visiting during January or February, or choosing a resort closer to the middle of the Hotel Zone during April–October, where conditions may be better. The activities team was another highlight. Alexander and Jayden were incredibly personable and consistently made an effort to engage with guests. We commented several times on how much effort they put into creating a great guest experience. Our biggest concern was the organization and communication surrounding our wedding. There were several occasions where I had to follow up multiple times before receiving clear responses, often needing to ask the same question more than once. On the morning of our scheduled planning meeting, which had been booked for weeks, we received an email less than an hour beforehand asking to change the time. We declined due to prior commitments, which did not seem to be well received. The day before the wedding, rain was forecasted, so we asked about the backup plan and alternative ceremony location. We were told the ceremony would be moved to the ballroom if necessary and that we would receive details and a tour of the space later that day, but this information was never provided. The morning of our wedding was particularly stressful. Shortly before the ceremony, I was informed that they could not access the prelude music link I had provided weeks earlier. Despite resending it, they were still unable to access it, and the wrong song was played. Unfortunately, it was a song that had been played at the funeral of a close family member, making this a very upsetting moment just before the ceremony. The ceremony chairs were also not arranged as requested. That said, the spa service was excellent, the ceremony itself was beautiful, the officiant was great, and the reception was beautifully arranged. The staff were kind, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay, and many members of the resort team contributed to making our wedding week special.

I had an amazing time here! The guest service, in every area of this resort, was 10/10! You can tell that whoever runs this place believes 100% in perfect customer service! I enjoyed the hospitality all the way around as well as the food, also the cleanliness. I loved my room and the resort itself is BEAUTIFUL! The photos and videos I saw online didn’t do it any justice at all! I would definitely go back! There’s also events going on that are super cool too. S/O to the best server I had, Jorge!

We returned to Dreams Sands for the second time this year, to celebrate my birthday and my husband’s birthday (3 days apart). Above all, the staff at this resort make the stay incredible. I don’t know how Dreams managed to find these folks, but they are some of the kindest, most welcoming and thoughtful people I’ve ever met. We are not the type to return to the same resort, but as expected, the team at Dreams Sands made our stay unforgettable once again. No trip is perfect, and the small hiccups we experienced were attended to promptly and with much empathy. For example, we were looking forward to room decorations for my husband’s birthday, and the staff did not decorate. We also did not have bottled water restocked in our mini fridge. Once mentioned to Ricardo, at the preferred club concierge, everything was promptly made right. Ricardo did so much for us, and his professionalism and positive attitude made us feel truly cared for. They went all out for my birthday, which followed my husband’s, by the way. We absolutely love the entertainment team at Dreams Sands. Everyday was filled with fun activities. The team not only hosts the most fun games and events day and night, but they take the time to get to know you too! We played volleyball, took Zumba classes, attended the night time shows, and more! In particular, Melissa, Michelle and Charlie were fantastic, and we will miss them dearly! The beach is beautiful! We happened to visit during a cold front, but the beach is kept clean and accessible everyday. It is shallow and perfect for kids, even 40-60ft out. We would say it’s one of, if not the best, beach in cancun. We splurged on a bed for one day ($100US) and Anahi and Mario helped us with anything at all that we needed. They were so kind! Unlike some of the other reviewers, we LOVED the food. We are pescatarian so can’t speak to beef/chicken/pork, but for us none of the restaurants, including the buffet, had any issues. We loved the Mexican restaurant, El Patio, the most. In the buffet there was always delicious food available. Noe was our server most days and he was wonderful. Our daughter loved him and gave him high 5’s everyday. They will also bring you any drink you could think of wanting. We booked preferred club and definitely recommend it. This is a family friendly resort, lots of kiddos are around, but we also saw many couples with no children and also lone travellers having a great time. Thank you to everyone at Dreams Sands for this experience! Sending our love from Toronto!
