Dreams Onyx is a beautiful resort. The beach is really nice. It is sandy with no rocks and almost no seaweed.
The food is very good. There is a lot of choice in the a la carte restaurants and the buffet had hot food that was replenished regularly.
We had a butler, Alvaro in the preferred club. He made our trip so enjoyable. We never had to wait for a table at dinnertime. He booked us a table and made sure to meet us there each night to ensure we got in with no problems. If you decided to book the preferred club, I highly recommend asking for Alvaro. He really cares about his clients having a wonderful vacation.
The rooms were very clean and the bed was super comfortable.
I can't wait to return for my next beach vacation!

Do not visit here if food is at all on your priority list. I have never felt so hungry and lost weight on a vacation! I was amazed at the lack of quality in ingredients, presentation, and taste.
The service was lackluster and often felt as if I was burdening them when I asked for help.
The grounds are kept very clean, but they are in general disarray. They are in need of a makeover and some love and care.
The pools are all very nice! The beach was amazing!!!

Great resort! I have only nice words to say overall. This was our second stay and it felt like home. Lots of food options and very clean. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable.
If you want to spice up your stay with the best cocktails, go to The Mix, the upper bar at the water park. Felix & Moises are fun and will help you find the right flavor for the day in no time.

Beautiful resort and great amenities for adults and kids. The a la cart restaurants are amazing. The buffet is a buffet, good but not great.
The beach is awesome if you enjoy playing in the waves. Even on the calm days, there will be waves. Lots of pools to please whatever you are looking for. Staff is very friendly. The resort shuts down early and is nice and quiet, but if you are looking for a little night life, it is a short walk over to the attached Breathless resort. Great layout for the resort. It never felt like anything was too far of a walk but still spaced out. I never felt the need to return to the same resort, but I would have no issues returning here if.

Very nice resort. Staff was very friendly. Rooms where clean. Kid friendly, for adults go to Breathless. Beds are super hard, only complaint. Would return. I have been to 7 different resorts in the DR, most are great. Had a good experience.
