I just came back from this resort, and as someone who travels a lot and has been to the Dominican before, this was my absolute favorite resort ever. The resort was very clean and offered amazing views and amenities. My room was always clean and topped up. I loved the room service option, and every time I needed a ride to the lobby, there was a trolley waiting. The food at all the restaurants was pretty good, and the buffet offered lots of choices. The taco truck and the Barefoot Grill always had good snacks and food, and the bartenders made the best drinks. I loved the beach; it was so relaxing, and I definitely enjoyed the water slides and pools all around the property. This is a great hotel for families, weddings, and couples. The customer service is impeccable; everybody was very helpful and kind. I will definitely recommend this resort to everybody I know, and I will definitely be back.

We stayed at Dreams Onyx for our Wedding week this month. The resort, wonderful. Clean rooms, beach was free of seaweed, food was good. I would recommend the Steak House short rib! The water slides were super fun as well. Manuela was our wedding coordinator and she made our wedding as easy and seamless as possible. My makeup was great at the spa, I did a trial, but didn’t have to tweak much on the day! It absolutely poured rain during our cocktail hour/into our reception. We had chosen to keep it outside on the beach and Manuela and her team were great to dry everything off and work with us so we could continue. Reception food was tasty and the desserts I heard good things about as well! 2blem entertainment did a great job as our DJ service, and WBA studios were very kind to stay a bit longer to capture our first dance as our timing was a bit off due to the rain. We would recommend this resort and having a wedding here.

The resort is about 45 minutes away from the airport, not a bad drive if you book a private transfer. The resort is beautiful and has great amenities. The rooms were okay. There's a noise issue as the rooms are not sound proofed well. You can hear noise from the hall and the rooms beside you and above. We had a swim up room but we didn't use it. Even the pools are cleaned everyday, we still found dead and live bugs in our swim up. The absolute best thing about this resort is the staff. Phenomenal and friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting Wester. Wester made my family and I extremely welcome and was a gem to my 9 month old. Loved seeing him everyday. His level of service and professionalism was exemplary. I hope the next time I return to this resort, I will see Wester in a manager's uniform. If you come to this resort and I recommend you do, you can find Wester in the area where there's multiple pools.

This is our second trip to Dreams Onyx. One of our favorite resorts. The rooms are clean and well done. Mini bar nicely stocked. The friendly staff is second to none! They do whatever they can to make you feel at home. We haven't eaten in all the restaurants this trip but Spice, Barefoot Grill, Tamarind and the buffet have been great. We will surely be back!
