I stayed here over 4th of July this year. I felt very upset that they could not do anything about the stay. Other hotels had their amenities open much later than ours and allowed their guests to stay in their rooms if safe. We paid for the all inclusive and got only the buffet and cafe for 2 days. They switched our rooms 2x during our stay and it was very frustrating. The first room we stayed in was dirty all over, had bugs in it and broken appliances. It most certainly did not seem like a 5 star resort.
None of the cuisine was authentic except for the Mexican food. and it was about average.
The app scheduling was wrong. We missed the shows we wanted to see because they changed the times of them without telling us. No notification at all. The employees were not that helpful when we were asking questions about the shelter for the hurricane. Everything was very frustrating and no refunds or discounts even though they did not serve alcohol for 2 days.
We also were told the speech for their "time share" or whatever presentation would be 90 minutes. We were there for almost 3.5 HOURS. This was ridiculous. Once we said no. We had to say no to 3 MORE people. This was the most frustrating after they already wasted our stay by figuring and changing rooms 2 times. As well as not having any real food for almost 24 hours. Only pastries. I would not necessarily recommend.
They say that the adults only side is more luxury. I would only suggest it if you want quiet. No music was playing from their side. It was very boring. But very quiet if you want quiet. No view of the beach from their side.

The property looks really nice, the service is good as well, it is beachfront and has a really nice lazy river pool. It has a number of food options but the food quality isn’t quite there, especially room service, it’s kind of you get what you pay for. The rooms are spacious but old, they’re decent enough to live though, It’s a property I’ll book if I wanted to get out and explore Cancun and come back in the evening to drink with good views and crash !

My family vacationed here in June 2024, and it was absolutely lovely. We had the BEST week ever, and the resort was a huge part of that! Here are the nitty gritty details and things I wish I had known before my trip:
1) my husband and I traveled with our two kids and did not stay Preferred. This kept us closer to the pools and restaurants and kids activities- if you are travelling with kids I recommend doing the same as the Preferred side has the adults only pool.
2) we stayed in a deluxe tropical view double room. The rooms are clean and spacious. Nothing super fancy, but still really nice! The double beds are fulls, so we were tightly packed in at bedtime. Two queen beds would have been way better! My only other complaint is it's tough to keep the rooms cold. Shutting the bathroom door helps, but the AC doesn't go as low as I'd like it to.
3) Pools close at 7, which seemed very early, but there is plenty else to do in the evening to stay entertained. Pool chairs also get claimed first thing in the morning, so if you wait til 9 or so you will be out of luck til probably the afternoon.
4) There are rocks in the water, but the beach is beautiful and they pick up seaweed constantly, so it's never too much of a problem. Easy to get a spot on the beach!
5) The restaurants were quite good, except my one complaint was the food at Tamarindo (the Mexican restaurant). Everything else was fabulous, but we are at the buffet most often! Excellent assortment of great food. Everything was fresh and delicious.
6) The service here is absolutely wonderful. All of the staff is wonderful, kind, and helpful. We never had a second of bad service the whole time we were there.
To wrap it up, book the trip! If you're super fancy there are nicer places, but if you're just looking to have a great time with people you enjoy in a gorgeous place, this is it. Hope it helps!

I had a great time here, 4 nights was a perfect amount of time to experience everything the hotel and area had to offer. The preferred room & benefits were worth it for a quieter, adults only experience. The beach was nice for swimming and relaxing. The food was mediocre but the service was great. I liked how the hotel wasn't surrounded by other resorts but still an easy drive to the airport. We did one cenote day trip that the concierge recommended and had a great time on it.
