Overall a big enough resort to offer something for everyone at every age. I only got to dine at the Italian (CAPERS), med (CIN CIN) CASTAWAYS, and hibachi (SPICE). Everything was marvelous and visually appealing. The worst thing I can report is sometimes timing on courses was too long in between but it was excruciating. Our room was in preferred building (never went into the lounge but heard it was efficient with snacks and ‘pour your own liquor’ bar. Room was spacious, clean and modern. If you’re travelling with someone you’re not wishing to share a bed with, I suggest getting the room type that’s one below the king suite primary due to the shower not having appropriate privacy. I suggest also to bring a can of bathroom spray or utilize the incense provided because our toilet and bidet would occasionally have a sewage scent (something reported by neighbors as well). Staff was outgoing, always with a smile, never saw one frown or employee who wouldn’t greet you as you walk by or offer to assist with anything. Kids had plenty of things to do, we went for Halloween and día de los muertos, and did they provide amazing entertainment between the haunted house, the ofrendas were touching and live shows were engaging. The resort is a small hike from the beat and track as Cancun airport is 35min ride. We were next to a dolphin excursion and walked right over and all who partook loved it. Have someone snap photos from the ‘viewing’ area covertly as they dont let you so you buy their photographs. One major thing I personally had an issue was finding eats at noon. Your options were poolside grille, buffet restaurant or (discovered this later) castwways which was the best meal of the entire trip. I wish there was restaurant that did lunch as well as dinner giving those an alternative option and get to experience all venues (wish I could have tried the sushi/dining at SPICE, the Mexican stop TAMARINDO, and MERCULE, the French place but had their breakfast and it was superb too.

Paid More for Less – Extremely Disappointing Stay We stayed for 5 days/4 nights and this trip was nothing like our amazing experience two years ago. We booked and PAID for an Ocean View room with a King bed six months in advance. Instead, we were given a garden/pool view room on the first floor with two double beds, and no ocean view at all (completely blocked by another building). When we returned to the reception immediately, we were told the hotel was overbooked and this was “the only room available.” We saw several other couples complaining about the same issue at the same time. Despite showing proof of our booking, the staff and manager couldn’t do anything except offer a room change starting on the 3rd night. Meanwhile, the concierge manager told us it “doesn’t matter when guests book because rooms are only assigned 4–5 days before arrival,” which clearly shows poor management. When we finally moved rooms on the 3rd day (after waiting another 45 minutes past the promised time), the new room had water dripping from the ceiling and the whole bathroom/closet area was flooded. We had to wait another 2 hours for maintenance. This entire process completely ruined our ability to relax. Service, drinks, and food have all declined since our last visit. The French restaurant, Mercure, served overcooked food and spoiled wine, and the waiter didn’t believe us when we pointed it out. Overall, this trip was stressful, disappointing, and not worth what we paid. We will not be returning.

We had such a great time at Dreams Jade. The staff was incredible and really went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing experience. There were lots of fun activities, crafts,classes and evening entertainment, plenty to keep both adults and kids happy. I was honestly surprised by how nice the beach was. Usually if the pools are great the beach is just okay, but here both were really nice. The whole place has a fun and relaxed vibe. There were plenty of healthy food options and every server we met was so accommodating. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday there and they made it very special, perfect place to celebrate something like that. Highly recommend this resort if you want a super enjoyable, stress-free vacation in Mexico.

Beautiful resort and amazing staff. Our only complaint is the slippery floors - be wary when travelling with small, excited children. The food and service was excellent. The beach was beautiful and there was ample seating around the pool and in the sand! We came for a wedding and it went off without a hitch. Our experience getting from the Cancun airport to Dreams Jade was pretty frustrating. We went with Nexus and had trouble finding our shuttle and someone who could understand us and help our big group. Overall, I would highly recommend to any couple or family check out Dreams Jade!

Google may list Dreams Jade and Spa, Cancun as a 5-star resort… but I strongly disagree. We chose this resort for a family vacation—mistake #1. Absolutely nothing about this place is kid-friendly, and my son-in-law was completely bamboozled by the online descriptions. Rooms & Housekeeping – A Major Letdown: Let’s start with the in-room mini bar: soda, water, and beer. That’s it. Seriously? Housekeeping? Provided only after multiple calls and even a trip to the front desk. My roommate planned to enjoy the jacuzzi tub—only to find clear evidence that the previous guest had enjoyed it first. A big dirt ring around the tub proved that it hadn’t been cleaned. When housekeeping arrived, the staff member stepped into the tub with her shoes on and wiped it down with a dry towel. No cleaner. No disinfectant. My son-in-law (who speaks Spanish) asked if they planned to actually sanitize the tub. Only after he asked twice did they bring a disinfectant spray and clean it properly. After witnessing that, I took out my own Clorox wipes and cleaned the bathroom myself. We complained at the front desk and were offered access to the “Preferred” side. Not much of a difference, honestly—just slightly better housekeeping. Dining – Another Disappointment: There was one breakfast option: the buffet. The bacon and hash browns were undercooked the first two days, then overcooked the last two. The bacon sat soaking in its own grease. The hosts at all the restaurants were the highlight of the entire stay—they were outstanding. Everything else… not so much. Final Verdict: Do yourself a huge favor: DO NOT book a reservation here. If you want a real 5-star VIP experience with top-tier service, check out Atelier Playa Mujeres instead. Night and day difference. I discovered that the Cancun Jazz fest that I booked back in May, will be hosted here, stay tuned for my update.
