I have gone to many all inclusive resorts in different countries over the past 30 years. The Flora is definitely the top one and I’m difficult to please. What I liked was: the modern, comfortable room with a great bathroom and shower, the variety and quality of the food in the World Cafe (buffet), the many wonderful people who work there and do their utmost to help you, the modern and well equipped gym with a great personal trainer, Juan and many activities for kids e.g. water slide. It’s a smaller resort and the private stretch of beach isn’t very long. Also, for tennis players you’ll be disappointed as the courts are sand, not clay.

Absolutely loved this resort!! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained; the staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely seemed like they enjoyed being there; the pools were clean and the beach was beautiful. We went as a family with a 9 year old and this resort is very family friendly, the staff made him feel like a VIP. Tried almost all of the restaurants and didn’t have a single bad experience. Definitely recommend splurging for the swim up rooms as the cabanas outside those rooms were dreamy. 10/10 would recommend!

We were told by Hyatt representatives they could not apply our GOH rewards because it was out of country and we had to do so at the hotel. I called the hotel and they said to speak to guest services when we got here. We got here, late, with three hungry kids and after speaking with guest services they had no idea what I was talking about and told me to contact Hyatt. Due to the hour and long travel day, we checked in, dragged our own luggage because it was left sitting by the curb and went to our room. No one offered to help or give waters or snacks to the clearly upset kids-which was fine and not expected but would’ve been a nice gesture at a “5 star” resort. That and not leaving our luggage by the street. The room is spacious but filthy. Hair and dirt and debris everywhere. I spoke to Hyatt this morning and they stated now that we’ve checked in we can’t use our upgrade and that they have no chat or call history so can’t reference what any other agent said. This is ridiculous after a restless nights sleep and conflicting information. If you’re looking for a place where the staff take zero responsibility, you have a dirty room and you’re woken up constantly from 10pm until 7am by drunk teenagers running and screaming down the halls and kids running around unsupervised this is the place for you. Service is none existent, I have no idea how anyone has a pleasant experience here. For 12K we will not be back and are counting down the days until this vacation is over. and Oh, and if you like waiting an hour plus for mediocre food 10/10 recommend. Dinner this evening was so bad most of the people left and went to get plates from the buffet to bring back. I think the only way anyone could enjoy this place is if they were drunk the entire time, which you really have to try to do as half the time the waiters will not bring your food or drinks.

Great resort! Excellent entertainment and shows..Vanessa and Mailenny were great. Patricio, Henry, and Oliver were great servers. Carlos was very helpful too. Pool views and pool options were great. Lots of pools and swim up bars. Night entertainment was excellent. The DJs and night entertainment staff were great with showing dances and getting everyone to dance. Food was great, but service was a little slow at times....long waits to get tables at restaurants....reservations would probably make this easier but we didn't have an option to make reservations. Beach was close to pool area but beach views were a little more tucked back than other places we've been to. Overall, we had a great stay and would return.

Our stay was extremely disappointing. The resort lacked sufficient beach chairs and towels, and the staff were unfriendly and unaccommodating. Interacting with them felt burdensome, as they appeared irritated by any inquiries. They also seemed oblivious and inconsiderate when we passed by.
We reserved a table for New Year’s Eve, as required, but upon arrival, the host claimed no table was available for our party of ten. After a 5-10 minute wait, we were seated at three separate tables. Management failed to grasp our desire to sit together and merely stood by until we requested menus, only to be told there were none because we were in a buffet area.
Overall, our three-day stay so far was subpar. I strongly advise against booking here.
Day #4
We were informed that reservations weren’t necessary, yet we’ve been waiting over an hour to be seated. After discussing with Alexandra, the host at Portofino, about our existing request for a party of ten, I asked to cancel it to free up the spot for other guests. However, she canceled both our requests, leading to further delays in seating us.
Once seated, we encountered additional issues: there weren’t enough menus for our table, and the silverware and plates provided were dirty.
Day #5
We had dinner at El Patio, and it turned out to be the best night so far. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, which wasn’t surprising since it was a busy time. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. Just one more night left here!
