Fardad Soleimanloo
This is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in the Dominican Republic. The resort is extremely clean, very well organized, and offers excellent service throughout the restaurants, beach, and all common areas. Our butlers—Carlos on our previous trip and Erick on our most recent visit—went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. Even before our arrival, they arranged Bali beds for us. Nelson at the beach also made our experience truly unforgettable with his outstanding service. The entertainment is very good. Each night, different areas of the resort feature various performers, which makes the evenings lively and memorable. Every morning, ice-cold water infused with different fruits is available throughout the resort, which is incredibly refreshing and a very nice touch. The ocean is the second best I’ve seen in the Dominican Republic—always swimmable, crystal clear, and slightly wavy, which actually makes swimming more enjoyable. In future updates, I will add more photos of the resort and the beach. One point of caution: The showers beside the Preferred area have a step that is slightly sloped. I have seen several people slip and fall there, and I personally fell once and injured my elbow. I raised this concern with the resort multiple times, but unfortunately, it does not seem that the issue is being addressed.

It’s my first time visiting DR and wanted to check out some different beaches. Went on a day pass for $85 per person. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful. The resort is really nice and even on a Saturday during a peak travel week, it didn’t feel crowded. There are tons of lounge chairs at pools and beach with a good mix of sun and shade. The beach is beautiful. The day pass hours were 10-5 and we stayed 1030-430. The drinks were good and never a long wait. The downside was the food - we were not a fan of the buffet. There was a ton of pastries, desserts, fruit but not as much hot food as I expected. I liked the omelet grill for breakfast but surprised there were no pancakes, waffles, french toast, etc. After seeing the lunch buffet, my son wanted to eat somewhere else but I think that was our only option. I was surprised they didn’t have dominican food (mofongo, rice & beans). The coffee shop Coco Cafe was also disappointing. A tiny iced coffee in a paper cup and didn’t like the taste of the frappecino. At an all inclusive - not liking the food and on day 1 is a red flag for me :/

Be warned - Lots of fake reviews! Let’s start with the positives… the beds and pillows are lovely. The rooms are clean to a high standard daily. The hotel is clean and the slides / pools are great fun and well maintained. Customer service was some of the rudest we have ever experienced. The food was editable but that’s it! The service was ridiculously slow ( waiting up to 35 min for a water when entering a restaurant) and all areas for food felt like a canteen. Drinks are watered down. This review will now have 2/3 reviews posted above it with 5*

I’m giving this a 3 star as I felt there was a miss for the resort as a whole to be a 5 star resort. The rooms in general are clean and nice, the resort is small and very limited in the amount of activities to do. After 4 days, had pretty much seen it all. The bar staff seemed to be annoyed when asked for drinks and weren’t the best, while I had some of the waiting staff that were really great. Shout out to Pedro who was one of the best waiting staff that we had during our stay. We were invited from a member at the member rate but this required us to go through a sales meeting. We agreed to this commitment and they originally told us this would last 90 minutes, but when we started they changed this to 120-180 minutes. When we complained they threatened to charge us a penalty. We found this to be a huge sour point in our vacation. The location is not close by. We flew into Punta Cana as flights weren’t available to La Romana which required an hour+ drive to get to the location. Also, the maximum we were able to walk on the beach was about 1km so if you want to walk around, note this is very limited. The resort is very quiet, other than the shows they put at night there isn’t much going on after 11pm. Not sure why but we heard many people including some of us, got stomach issues from either food poisoning. We noticed that some water bottles that were given to us by staff were not sealed properly and the burgers at the beach grill seemed to be undercooked.

AMAZING beach, great staff. Overall a good resort. Things to do for kids is lacking a bit BUT they always find things to do at these resorts. Food was OK. removed a star as 6 out of 10 of us got super sick. VERY sick. Have been to many resortrs and this one is nice for sure. Not a ton of walking. 24/7 coffee shop is cool. Preferred guests only can use the kids splash pad. Shout out to Natalia, Yafre, Angelica and Jakelin who were so great at the kids club!
