Stayed in Dover Beach in December 2023. Hotel great location, front of house staff very friendly and great recommendations from them. Got picked up from the airport by hotel shuttle, driver very good and helpful. Rooms basic but comfortable and great views. Food in the restaurant was disappointing ate there a few times. Better eat somewhere else club sandwich was poor with bone left in the chicken and the pizza was covering in what seemed like concentrated tomato puree not sauce. Had Christmas lunch which was very expensive for what was served. And only one member of staff in the bar was helpful didn't get her name, the rest on their phones and don't even talk to the customers.
Don't want to put people off the hotel as it is great location and rooms good. But eat somewhere else!

This was a great place for the price. This is not a destination hotel. It's a place to stay and explore the area. Plenty of food walking around there as well as a close by convenience store. Rooms have mini kitchens that we didn't use with exception to the fridge and the hot water pot we used for instant coffee. It has a nice pool, restaurant especially for breakfast and lunch and you can eat dinner but there are many better places for dinner. AC worked very well too, almost too good!

Returned from a trip this month and absolutely loved this hotel. The staff are lovely and welcoming and cannot do enough for their guests. The hotel itself is in a perfect location; right on the beach and 2 mins from all the restaurants and bars in St Lawrence Gap. Really enjoyed our stay and our trip to Barbados. We will be returning later on in the year and staying again with Dover Beach.

The location is great. We were here during Christmas and New Years so it was a busy time. The rooms are a bit old, staff are amazing people, many of whom have been around for as long as the place has been open. The stay is a solid 3 stars but the kindness and hospitality of the staff, availability of certain services like a crib for babies, luggage room for early/late check in check outs. The Hotel is literally on the beach, you just have to walk behind the pool and the entrance to the shore is right there.
The restaurant is amazing on some days and mediocre on others, depends who’s cooking.
There are lots of options around and you can definitely get some good eats at the St Lawrence Gap.
This option is great for it’s price but if you have a chance to pay a little bit more somewhere else, it may be worth it, but this place is a gem, old and many things need tightening, but worth a stay on a small budget.

Where do you start ??
Rooms are the noisiest we have ever stayed in, walls are paper thin !!
Filthy floors in the rooms, never mopped, wet towels left to be replaced are refolded and placed on your bed causing damp to the bed covers.
The pool area is worn out, the walkway around the pool is crumbling, pool is dirty, leaves, branches and debris not cleaned away.
The external bar area is untidy, tables are not cleared or wiped unless you ask, service is slow and getting what you ask for is somewhat difficult !!
Management never available to discuss any issues !!
Beach access and area is good, one saving grace.
All in all this Hotel is of a very poor standard, We understand Barbados ratings are different to most other countries but if the Hotel was rated as 1 star it would be overated.
Look elsewhere to avoid great disappointment !!!
