Had a fabulous holiday. Thanks so much to Yordanas who always had 3 iced Lattes on the table for my children at breakfast and her smile just lit up the room, making you feel fabulous. She had a great sense of humour and her English was fantastic, understanding the Scottish accent. Her and Kevin worked tirelessly, sometimes on double shifts and still had a smile on their faces at 11 o’clock at night. Beautiful location and would certainly come back. Thanks to Amir who was so accommodating to our family and helpful. We have been to many, many countries, however the Seychelles has certainly surpassed them all with its unspoiled beauty. Please don’t waste it like so many of its Caribbean counterparts catering for tourists.

I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton and had a wonderful experience. The property is well-maintained, with excellent facilities and warm hospitality that made our stay very comfortable. A special mention to Nikhil from housekeeping, who went above and beyond to help us with vegetarian food options. His dedication, attentiveness, and willingness to assist truly stood out and made a positive difference during our visit. We greatly appreciated his efforts in ensuring we had a delightful dining experience. I highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton for its impeccable service, friendly staff, and overall excellent accommodations. Thank you for a memorable stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, and so was the pool. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, which we appreciated. I would like to point out the sweet girl Jorda, every time with a smile n her face and so thoughtful. However, I believe more attention should be given to the beach, as the seaweed needs to be cleaned daily to enhance the overall experience.

We stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton, Allamanda for 10 days in May to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and overall, it was a memorable and romantic escape. The hotel’s location is stunning—nestled beside a secluded beach on the southeast side of the island, with breathtaking sea views and the kind of calm that only a small, quiet hotel can offer. From the start, we appreciated the thoughtful celebratory touches. The welcome room decorations, beach picnic in the middle of our stay and romantic dinner setup at the end, added a warm and personal charm to our celebration. We especially want to thank a few exceptional staff members who made our stay extra special. Annabelle at reception was incredible—after a difficult first night with flashing pool lights disturbing our sleep, she stepped in with genuine care and consideration. She helped us move rooms, coordinated with maintenance, and had an external yellow beach light turned off, finally allowing us to rest after a long and exhausting trip. Her professionalism and kindness truly stood out and made such a difference! At the restaurant, Yordanos was a wonderful delight and made our mornings by greeting us personally and brightly, in the evenings when she was on duty she held the same energy even though she had been working all day and even when she had an evening off, she still had a hand in making our anniversary dinner extra special. Thank you, Yordanos! Tolera impressed us with his attentiveness and surprised us with delicious mocktails during our anniversary dinner on 20th May. Nyel (hope we got her name right!) was so lovely, keeping our coffee topped up with a smile. The entire restaurant team exceeded our expectations with their friendly service and attention to detail. The food was fresh, tasty, and varied—we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and dinner each day. We also want to thank Kerine, our housekeeper, for doing a fantastic job daily. She kept our room spotless despite all the sand we tracked in, and always made sure we had towels as soon as they were ready. That said, there were some aspects that the hotel could improve. Some of the lights in the trees and around the pool are overly bright, with some flashing or changing colours frequently. On our first night, the pool lights were stuck on a flashing setting that felt more like a disco than a peaceful resort. When we raised it with reception after dinner, we were told the remote was lost—and nothing was done until Annabelle took over on the evening shift. This inconsistency in service was disappointing after a sleepless night. We were so grateful to Annabelle for also arranging the shut-off of a particularly harsh beach light near our room, which greatly improved our evening experience on the terrace. We also had an issue with the romantic turndown service, which we had been invited to request as part of our anniversary experience. We filled in the form specifying the 20th, but nothing happened. When we inquired, we were met with a blank stare at reception, which made us feel uncomfortable—as though we were asking for something unreasonable. While it was a small thing, the handling of it left a bitter aftertaste. We didn’t try the spa due to the high cost. We ended up finding, more affordable options elsewhere, so perhaps this is something the hotel could reconsider to better meet guests’ expectations. In summary, DoubleTree Allamanda offers a beautiful, peaceful setting with the potential for a truly special stay—especially thanks to wonderful team members like Annabelle, Yordanos, and Tolera. However, the hotel would benefit from more consistency in service delivery, as the small details and how they’re handled can make all the difference.
