We chose this spot for our honeymoon but opted for the most basic room. Overall, I was very satisfied - the views are amazing. Anywhere you are in the hotel, you can see the sea. Even from the gym, which is very nicely equipped with newest Technogym machines. The staff is very friendly and very helpful on every occasion. Food was good - but honestly, for a 5 star hotel at this price range, I would prefer more options during lunch and dinner - after three days, I felt like the buffet was pretty much the same. Also, the snack bar could have more options - especially on the beach where all you could get in the fridge was pretty dry wrap with almost no filling. I would love to have some variety and some freshly looking and healthy food there. Also snack bar by the pool could have had more choices. But I felt really well during our stay and would go again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and location, with great service throughout our stay. The food was excellent, and we just felt like we were in paradise! If anyone is looking for a holiday where you can relax, but with the choice of excursions and different experiences, this hotel is located brilliantly- plenty to explore nearby, and the taxi service the hotel use is great too. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

We are on our last night here at Domes Aulus Elounda and I can’t describe how nice everything was. The hotel is minimalist and luxurious, the rooms are super clean, the pools are great, the food and the drinks are fabulous. You have everything here and I can’t think of a negative thing to say. Everyone is super friendly and trying really hard to make everything comfortable for you. Ramona, Tamara, Alexandros, Cristophor and the staff thank you all🙏🏻 hope to see you next year!

There was a bit of a rocky start to our stay due to the rooms having issues with the showers and the air conditioning. We came as a friend group and got two rooms with our friend’s room having issues with the water from the shower getting everywhere the room. Thankfully, after the first night, they were able to change room. As for our room, we had problems with the shower door closing and the air conditioning leaking. However, the staff were very accommodating about this and changed our rooms immediately but unfortunately the new room’s view was lacking as compared to the previous room with the view being blocked by a large building. This was unfortunate and due to the high occupancy period but nevertheless the staff and especially the manager, Mr George, tried his best to make the stay more pleasant and accommodating. The food selection and quality at this place was excellent as well with a large selection and good quality taste in the food. I would definitely recommend this resort if you are looking for an all inclusive stay in crete! thank you once again to staff at Domes Aulus Elounda and the Manager, Mr George.

Quite conflicted about this hotel. We’ve had a really lovely, relaxing time, but didn’t get off to the best start. We paid a lot to stay here for the premium all inclusive, as we were attracted by the variety of restaurants and bars, but in the time we were there, the Spritz/rooftop bar never opened so felt slightly let down by the place. The staff are so friendly but there are not enough of them to open all the venues. There’s only 1 restaurant you can book for a la carte lunch and 1 for dinner (not made clear on website) unless you are cool living who have 1 further restaurant. We had no choice of being able to upgrade to Cool Living as they don’t offer rooms for 3 (travelled with my 20 year old daughter) and there’s no option to pay to get access to the extras. The a la cartes aren’t open every day so are pretty much fully booked for the week, so people are missing out and complaining. As such we’ve been bumped a couple times to fit other people in before they leave. I fortunately booked the sushi before we came out and it was superb. We were then bumped 2 hours before our reservation for the Pita Canteen (served at same restaurant as Sushi) but they actually offered us a meal at a restaurant in Plaka (Ocean) with taxi organised both ways. I was extremely grateful for this gesture as the food was lovely and the restaurant had a lovely ambiance. It overlooked Spinalonga. The food in buffet is good quality but extremely limited with no live cooking stations (I’d expect an egg station at breakfast at least). The hotel rooms are just odd. We have a suite so can sleep a third person on sofa. The bathroom has a shower over the tap (no where to attach to wall and stand under) and a further bath on the balcony. The Nespresso machine was missing on arrival (although sorted for the next morning), toilet didn’t stop flushing (reported and never fixed), the shower curtain rail falls down, bedroom blinds aren’t attached properly so you can’t easily pull them up and down. Curtains not fitted properly. All in all, the place is quiet (partly thanks to being adults only), it has friendly, hardworking staff, and incredible views. Wine & food is of good quality, although I find there is a very limited choice in the buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Even the a la cartes have a limited menu, so we avoided and ended up eating out nearly every day - spending even more money. If I came back I’d definitely spend less on a nice apartment and eat out in the many fabulous restaurants Elounda has to offer to support the locals who are clearly passionate about showcasing their local produce. We fell in love with Elounda itself, but unfortunately not this hotel.
