We stayed here for 10 days, their pool is awesome. Located very close to Gap area where all the night clubs and restaurants can be found beach is also very close. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Would love to visit again.

I only stayed here for 1 night due to my flight being cancelled.
Pros ... Beautiful grounds and property
Cons ... The room we were assigned was old and smelled old. The amenities were clearly old. The restaurant on site food and drinks was not good at all and wasn't worth the price paid even with the airline voucher.
Overall...I would not stay here if I had an option until they actually modernize the property along with the restaurant menu.

Had a great stay. Beautiful pools and well maintained grounds. And right on the beach with plenty of natural shade as well as umbrellas. Rooms are older but super clean. Has AC and a balcony. Everyone who works here is helpful. Some rooms overlook the pool and gardens but we got a room on the parking lot street side. I did miss having a beautiful view which is a big part of staying at a resort for me. Still all the great amenities made up for it.

Overall we had a great time staying at Divi and for the second year in a row. The service we had while there was great, definitely no complaints there. The location is fantastic, you're right in the middle of the St. Lawrence gap so there are tons of restaurants and activities within walking distance. My only point I would mention to others is that the hotel rooms are starting to show some signs of age. If you're picky about this sort of thing, it might not be to your standards. For us as a family, out doing stuff through out the day it was not a problem. We would definitely stay at Divi again.

The room was nice but the 2nd day our room's AC wasn't working. Barbados is very hot and humid, our room was stuffier than outside in the heat and humidity. We complained about the room and the 4th day in maintenance finally came and checked it out and replaced a part. Then the room was between 67°-69° and too cold. My family and I pretty much had to leave the windows open while the AC was on and we ended up leaving Barbados with congestion and sinus infections. The utensils, tea kettle, cups, and coffee maker were dirty. The tea kettle and coffee maker had white particles in them that I couldn't get out by washing. The Activity Coordinator had booked one of our excursions without notifying the establishment that my mom had a scooter that needed to be transported with her; even after booking an excursion the day prior where a private taxi was booked to transport our family with her scooter. I stressed repeatedly to the Coordinator that my mom has mobility issues and will be bringing her scooter on any and every excursionsvwe were booking - I was beyond livid when the excursion transportation arrived and couldn't transport my mom. The excursion establishment sent a private taxi since the excursion fee included transportation to and from. The resort does not have an ATM on campus and all of the closer ATMs were a 10+ minute walk in the heat and humidity, unless you walked at night or took a cab. The resort's restaurant, PureOcean, was overpriced and the food was mediocre at best...do not eat the Guava Cheesecake it tasted like sweet Play Doh. Staff were friendly; but not very attentive and had little urgency. It was like they weren't sure what to do to rectify problems when we notified them by phone or at the reception desk directly. The best part of the Divi Southwinds Resort was the pool and the beach.
