This is the perfect hotel if you want to bring your family to Disney , but don’t want to be in the middle of all the action. I found this hotel to be very relaxing. We had animal friends outside our room around cocktail hour . My friend and l ate one night at the lounge and shared the appetizers . They were delicious! The next evening we grabbed a quick dinner from the pool restaurant and sat on a balcony overlooking the animals. It was relaxing after a busy day. ( It had a different Savannah view than our room .)
The main pool is amazing for kids and adults with lots of shady spots and spots away from the activities.
The only problem is that is only bus transportation provide from this hotel .

Amazing place to stay when visiting Disney. The rooms were clean and spacious. It's fantastic to wake up to giraffes, zebra and wildebeest right off of your balcony in the morning. The staff are knowledgeable and super accommodating. The restaurants and bar are excellent. Great place to stay. Definitely try it out if you are planning a trip to Disney!!!

This is a great place to stay while at Disney World. You wake up and feel like you are in a small savanna. Animals are all around you, and the atmosphere is like being in Africa. The restaurants at the resort serve authentic African meals, which are very tasty. Overall, it was a great place to stay. I will go there again.

Lovely hotel. The view of the Savannah was so fun. Our room was literally a half mile walk from the lobby, which we had no idea until we started dragging our luggage to our room. It was a twenty minute drive or more to the various parks. Apparently, you can't refuse entry into your room. They must do a room check, I was told. I didn't care for that. I purposefully do not request room service to keep people out of my room so I don't have to lock everything up each day. It's a very expensive hotel and the food at their restaurants was mediocre at best, but I'm a bit of a food snob. I wouldn't stay there again. I'd go for the Floridian or the Contemporary so we could hop on the monorail.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the best places to stay. I kept hearing people say "It's too far from all the other parks and it takes forever to get to and from the resort." Don't let that scare you off, it isn't true. We stayed there for a total of 9 days and were very happy with the rooms, service, and distance was not an issue.
The architectural theme and ambiance is second to none. Being able to wake up and have coffee while you look out at wildlife is pretty cool. It's definitely worth checking out. We were a party of 4 and were very happy for the entirety of our stay.
I also filmed an in-depth gym review of both gyms if that's something you're into.
