From the moment you arrive, you’re transported into a storybook version of New Orleans; complete with colorful wrought-iron balconies, cobblestone walkways, and jazz music floating softly through the air. It’s not just a resort. Everything is walkable, which makes the experience incredibly relaxing; especially after long park days. Each building feels like its own little corner of the neighborhood, and no matter where your room is located, you’re never far from the lobby, food court, or transportation. There’s a comforting sense of familiarity, like coming “home” each night. The theming is whimsical without being overwhelming. The Mardi Gras details, hidden gators, fountains, and vibrant colors are fun for kids while still feeling sophisticated and calming for adults. The resort strikes that perfect balance between playful Disney magic and laid-back Southern charm. Walking through the grounds at night, with the lanterns glowing and the Sassagoula River nearby, feels downright enchanting. The Cast Members truly elevate the experience. Every interaction feels warm and genuine. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, helpful transportation advice, or a little extra Disney pixie dust, the service consistently reflects Disney’s highest standards. And of course, the food! The beignets at Scat Cat’s Club Café are legendary for a reason; hot, fresh, and dusted in powdered sugar perfection. It’s one of those small moments that becomes a core Disney memory. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is the one. Beautiful scenery, and small enough to get around. The food court is pretty good, the specialty coffee and foods are amazing. The lounge and bar are wonderful. Short walk to Riverside. Easy boat ride to Disney Springs. Busses are never crowded and stop is right at the front. Staff is amazing!!

I loved this resort so much!! The staff was incredible every single employee has been A+ and super friendly, they’re super patient and understanding. The food is great, the site is not the largest but i feel like it makes it less overwhelming and more personal. The room was nice and comfortable and had good room service in terms of cleaning. Will go back for sure!

I really wanted to love this Disney resort, especially since it was my young children’s first visit, but my week‑long stay was anything but magical. On two separate nights, my family was jolted awake by false fire alarms. Not only was it disruptive, it set the tone for a stay that felt surprisingly chaotic for a Disney property. The first fire alarm incident completely changed my opinion of Disney resorts. Hotel staff were nowhere to be found and did not respond to the situation at all. About ten minutes later, the fire department arrived, shut off the alarm, and left without addressing the large crowd of confused, freezing guests outside. Unsure whether it was safe to return, many of us lingered outside for several more minutes before cautiously heading back to our rooms. The lack of communication from both the hotel and the fire department made the resort feel unsafe. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop at the resort. Throughout our trip, several park rides shut down unexpectedly and multiple events were canceled with no explanation or warning. When you plan and pay for a Disney vacation, you expect a level of communication and reliability that simply wasn’t there. Between the sleepless nights and the constant uncertainty in the parks, this visit fell far short of the Disney standard. I left feeling disappointed and honestly a bit let down. I hope Disney takes steps to address these issues, because guests deserve better.

Staff stood out so much. They were fantastic and helpful at every turn. We got there hours early and our room was ready immediately. Food was good but the beignets were the standout. A great location and break from the chaos of the parks. Wonderful theming. Buses and everything so close to walk too. When I stay at a Disney resort again, it will be here.
