My stay at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with true Southern charm and excellent hospitality. The resort is beautifully themed—stepping onto the property feels like being transported straight to the heart of New Orleans. The cobblestone streets, wrought-iron balconies, and vibrant colors made the atmosphere so unique and charming. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The grounds were peaceful and easy to navigate, which was such a nice change from some of the larger resorts. One of the highlights was definitely the food—having fresh beignets right at the resort is a dream come true! The Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory offered delicious and convenient options, and the riverside setting made meals feel extra special. Transportation to the parks was a breeze, and we also loved the boat ride along the Sassagoula River to Disney Springs—it added such a magical touch. The pool area was lively and fun, especially with the Mardi Gras theming that kids and adults alike could enjoy. Overall, Port Orleans French Quarter is the perfect blend of Disney magic and New Orleans charm. It’s cozy, beautifully maintained, and full of character. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing yet magical stay at Disney.

A great place to stay. All rooms are easy to get to. Staff were very friendly and helped immediately with any issues. The pool area was nice and had a pool bar. A hot tub round the corner and the site also had a laundrette. The food area was a decent size with enough food options for everyone. You can get a boat to Disney springs which runs all day, we love doing this. Plenty of parking on site and buses running regular to all parks.

It has a small-town feel. Streetlamps line the sidewalks to your room. Not bustling with the exception of the lobby area. Staff makes you feel like family coming back home from today out. Sassagoula float company food was really good. Enjoyed their jambalaya and cheeseburger. They will let you sample Cajun food if you're unsure if you will like it. Altogether a great experience.

So far, we have been here for two days, so I plan to post again when our trip is over, but for now, we LOVE this hotel. The rooms are VERY nice and well kept. Each day we are finding something new, maybe some small detail or convenient detail we didn’t notice at first. For example, high beds with the underneath exposed. At first with thought it was odd since almost every hotel we’ve stayed in, the bed “frame” was connected to the floor, therefore, no “under the bed” to lose items, or for housekeeping to clean. After unpacking our clothing and items, we realized that the beds were high enough for us to slide our extra large luggage under, instead of needing to make space in the closet cubby, or have leaning up against of of the walls, in the way. What a handy concept which most hotels do not have. We also noticed some oddly placed hardware in the bathroom which we came to realize was actually a latch for the retractable clothes line in the shower! Another feature we have never come across. And, my most favorite… a step stool!!! I am 4’9, so I basically need a step stool everywhere I go. Especially considering the high beds, and the built in safe being up in the closet cubby. My initially thought was, “great, now I have to climb or use the chair to get into the bed after a long day”, but only because the room is SO well put together and coordinated, I didn’t notice at first that inside the bathroom, under the sink platform, was a matching step stool which is very sturdy and surprisingly light in weight for the quality! ❤️ All the decor and details (color pallet, tile, artwork, pillows, chairs, cabinets, etc) in the room and the building follow with the New Orleans theme, which I absolutely love! So far, my only complaint is the location of the elevators. I would like to have 1 on each side of the building than have to circle almost the entire building to locate the elevator and ice machine (since they are together). The building numbers are quite odd to me as well with building 5 being near the main lobby, while building one is on the complete opposite side towards the back of the resort. In my opinion, the resort layout is a bit confusing and easy to get turned around on. Though, since it’s Disney, I am sure there is a solid reason for why they have them numbered and laid out the way they do, just like everything else. :) Either way, for day 2 of 8, I would definitely recommend, and personally can’t wait to come back. Though, I would select a different building and/or room. 🤣

A brilliant hotel. Staff are the extremely high standard you expect from Disney and the updated rooms are spot on. We're in building 6 and our window overlooks the river. Perfect! The place is incredibly well maintained and has a great, relaxed atmosphere which is ideal after hectic days at the parks. We were considering the Beach Club hotel for the next time we visited prior to this trip but I'd be more than happy with a return to the French Quarter.
