This is one of the oldest, most iconic, clean, and luxurious hotels at WDW. If you want to feel like Victorian royalty, this may just be the place for you. That said, there are personal pros and cons I experience whenever I visit Grand Floridian.
Pros:
-Clean and very pretty to see.
-There is always some form of classical music playing (usually live piano).
-The dock by the lake and pavilions all give the most relaxing atmosphere and beautiful visual of the lake and Magic Kingdom.
-Staff is usually very nice.
-There are nice stores in the hotel, including bath bombs, nice clothing stores, and more.
-They also do Cinderella's promenade in the hotel lobby where no other hotel does.
Cons: I would probably not stay here for a couple of things that are completely based on my preferences.
1) It's too clean, bright, and WHITE. Everything is white and, while pretty, it makes me feel like I can't touch anything. I get very formal (and a little stiff) whenever I enter.
2) Majority of the rooms are in separate buildings. So you will have to do more walking to get to your building before you get to your room (which can sometimes be a tad far). I just prefer to have all the rooms in one big building.
It is a wonderful place, and if you can afford it, it will be worth it to try it out at least once.

Luxury Resort.
We loved everything about our stay and wish we would have stayed longer. The lobby , the grounds , the hallways, the rooms all screamed luxury. Decorated in “older” decor but in a modern way. Everything was super clean.
Our family of 5 had plenty of room with the two beds and pull out couch.
Loved having a balcony!
The walk to magic kingdom was so peaceful and beautiful. We watched the fireworks from the dock which was a great view and they played the music.
The small beach area is beautiful!
Our kids spent hours in the pool with the large slide while we enjoyed some specialty drinks from the pool bar.
We made a last minute reservation for the cafe restaurant onsite which was delicious and perfect!
The outdoor movie on the grounds was so cozy and beautiful for our kids.
We stayed at a different Disney hotel prior to this resort and a big difference in what you can hear outside the rooms. We couldn’t hear anything once our doors were closed.
Loved our stay and will be back!!

Took my family here Feb 27 to March 3 to celebrate my kids 7th and 10th birthdays. This was our first time staying at a Disney resort on the monorail line. The resort was everything I expected and more. We had a GREAT experience from arrival to checkout. The staff was incredibly friendly and my kids loved the birthday recognition they would get as they walked around the property. The rooms were perfect for our family of 4 with the couch bed being an added bonus. The view from our balcony of the Magic Kingdom was spectacular and the ability to watch and listen to the fireworks each night from the resort was memorable. My kids loved the pools and the water slide. Can’t wait to go back someday!

We just went to Narcoosee's for drinks and to watch fireworks. The valet was pricy, $39. It was nice they let us in without a reservation, but it was just the 2 of us. The bartender, Casey was great. He was very personable and fun to talk to. He recommended the pineapple dessert, and it was very good. The view of the fire works is good from there. Definitely not as good as in the Magic Kingdom, but good none the less.

This hotel is elegance and decadence all rolled into one. There's nothing here that isn't gorgeous or well-thought-out. Everything is perfectly placed and the cast members are top-notch friendly and helpful Everything is perfectly placed and the cast members are top-notch friendly and helpful. The food is beyond amazing, everything is delicious. Obviously I can't say enough good things about the Grand Floridian.
