I personally had a not up to par experience at the Contemporary resort. Besides the proximity to Magic Kingdom that’s the only perk. First, you’re paying $700+ a night for no microwaves in the room and fridge that is not cold enough to store milk. So, good luck feeding bottles to your baby without having to go downstairs every single time. Second, when my son contracted a stomach virus from the hotel- I know this because I saw several other kids puking in the lobby- I called the front desk overnight. After I asked for housekeeping, I asked for a small bottle of water and who I spoke with told me, “I don’t think we can do that.” Mind you my son threw up all over the carpet, floor, and all the way onto the mattress. Housekeeping at night brought sheets but did not put them on the bed and only spot cleaned the floor. I had to call again in the morning and requested a deep clean. The cleaner just slapped sheets on the bed after I told her there was vomit all over the mattress and said “oh well.” She also only vacuumed up the throw up. I had to call again to have someone come up and clean the carpet. The cleaner also didn’t even clean the tub or bathroom. Thankfully we got trip insurance so we decided to leave that day. There was no point staying while my son was sick to try to wait it out in a hotel room they clearly don’t clean well here for $700 a night. The contemporary does not take illness seriously so if you want the flu or the stomach bug stay here. On my way out there was a poor mother in the lobby with her son puking on the floor and over the trashcan and she was attempting to clean it up with baby wipes. No CM or house cleaning in site to help for the whole 20 mins it took to load my car I saw her struggling. I told the front desk and guest services all these complaints before I left with no offer to make things right multiple times with the room situation. Everyone talks about the Disney magic, but it was anything but. Between how I was treated from the front desk to house cleaning.

I should start by saying I've only stayed at value resorts. The fanciest resort I've stayed at is Art of Animation. My bff and I were only here for 2 days to celebrate being bffs for 15 "ears" and decided to stay club level. It. Was. PHENOMENAL!!! The room, the food, the service! We can't ever go back again (and I LOVE Art of Animation)! Ms. Ginnie was the best concierge there! Tyler was one of the food hosts and he was so friendly! We will definitely be back to stay club level! You'll also get great views of the MK fireworks from the 14th floor. All in all, if you're able to, I highly recommend you stay deluxe/club level at least once!

Stayed here a year ago. Amazing location close to MK. Pool is nothing special. Theming is subtle and less crowded that other luxury resorts. My parents loved this hotel because it was a bit more quiet and "less busy" than the Polynesian for example. Steakhouse 71 is really good, especially for breakfast. Follow me on YouTube for more Disney stuff at @TheDBMGuide (Disney Boy Mom). Thank you friend!

Since this is a deluxe Disney resort, guests get a two hour extended evening benefit when staying there. There are buses to the other Disney resorts and Disney parks. The monorail goes right through the resort - very convenient! Or if you want to walk, it’s only about a 10 minute walk to Magic Kingdom. Our room had a nice view and was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again, but would make sure that it was a two queen bed room. I stayed there with my son who is 5’10”. The room they gave us was a king bed room with a small sofabed. The sofabed was too small for him, so I let him have the King bed. The sofabed was not super comfortable to sleep on as it was too short for me and I’m only 5’4”.

Perfect location if you want to be within walking or a monorail ride from Magic Kingdom. Rooms appear to be fairly recently updated. However the noise from the restaurant and slight vibrations from the monorail going through the building can be a bit annoying in my opinion. Staff was wonderful and all received tips, minus the rudest bell service (I think he was even a manager) person ever. He was disrespectful to my young adult kids first off, then I thought I would just go to him myself thinking maybe him being approached by younger people may have made him feel some kinda way... nope rude to me and blatantly ignored my questions regarding our luggage being picked up. When our limo arrived at departure, he was too busy talking to his coworkers about text messages that I finally went to get our luggage myself. He then rushed over to take over. After loading our things he began badgering not only me, but my family for a tip! When we refused because of his behavior, he then went to our driver and began talking about us negatively to him wishing him "good luck with 'these' people". I was in disbelief of this man's behavior. Other than him, our room cleaners were phenomenal and so kind, the employees in the shops were lovely and engaging and are everything we expect when we stay at Disney properties. Unfortunately, because of that bell hop, and the noise level we will stay at another resort in our coming visits.
