We stayed here for a week and the rooms, service, food and hotel amenities were all first class. This genuinely surpassed all my expectations and we had a lovely stay. The pool(s) are great for the kids and the animals are indeed as close as they look! The club room and games room are also great. This is about 5 minutes on bus from Animal kingdom and 20 min to Magic Kingdom. It’s a short drive to Epcot and Hollywood studios (about 8 minutes) and given the low volume of people at this park, I would recommend driving if you can for convenience - but the buses are great Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to all families!

The room was wonderful, offering a great view of the savanna, where the animals were very active throughout the day. Since it was March, the temperature was perfect. The bus stop for the parks was conveniently close, making transportation easy. The pool area was spacious, featuring a kids' playground nearby and a flamingo viewing area right next to it. The bar, located by the pool, had quick and efficient service from the staff. Additionally, the restaurant by the pool served the same food as the buffet, so if you didn’t want to pay for the buffet, you could simply order by the pool, pick up your meal, and enjoy it on your balcony. The lobby was warm and inviting, creating a cozy atmosphere from the moment you arrived. Keep in mind that if you're unsure about spending the money, you can visit the hotel first to check it out and decide if it’s the right fit for you. The staff is very friendly and always happy to help.

Absolutely amazing experience here. Such an incredible hotel, the atmosphere was just shockingly absorbing and detailed. The food at Boma was the best I've had in a long time and the service from the hotel staff was second to none. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We were lucky to have a partial view room, which really added to the experience. We all enjoyed sitting on the balcony and looking at the animals. We visited both pools, and they were fantastic. There are also plenty of paths and quiet areas to explore around the property. Highly recommend the hotel and definitely have dinner at either of the restaurants.

This was our first visit to the animal kingdom Lodge and it certainly won't be our last!! As soon as you walk in the resort is cool and has such an incredible ambiance! We ate breakfast inside the parks most days, which were super easy to get to thanks to the complimentary buses from the resort. But we had breakfast at the buffet in the resort the day we checked out and it was delicious! They had so much variety including some absolutely incredible African dishes! Getting to walk around the resort in the evenings after coming back from our days at the parks and seeing animals grazing on the resort grounds was so cool! Definitely a favorite of my toddler and all the adults! My only regret was that we didn't schedule a down time day just to do some of the MANY activities that the resort offers, definitely will make sure we do on our next visit! I will also add that if you are a light sleeper or have little little kids and won't be staying at the parks until closing maybe avoid a room next to the pool, the pool is open until 10pm and has pool parties with music until it closes on Thursday and Sat nights when we stayed. My toddler slept right through it but myself and some other adults in our stay weren't able to fall asleep until the pool closed at 10pm. Otherwise the rooms were super spacious, beds very comfy, and the showers even had detachable sprayers which made bathing my toddler so much easier!

We recently stayed at Jambo House and had a very mixed experience. Check-in with Shane was excellent - he was friendly and helpful, which got our stay off to a nice start. We really enjoyed our partial Savannah view and loved seeing the animals from our balcony each day. However, the resort overall felt in need of refurbishment, as many areas appeared quite dated. Unfortunately, we ran into several issues that kept us from fully enjoying the pool areas on our resort day. While we appreciated the option to use the Kidani Village pool and found the shuttle between the two resorts convenient, having a shorter walking path or easier access would have made the experience much better. A major downside was the number of scooters parked throughout the hallways. It often felt like navigating a maze, especially when crossing paths with other families using strollers, and it raised concerns for us about potential fire safety issues. Another disappointment was the noise level, we could hear almost everything from the rooms around us, especially footsteps from the room above. Thankfully, we travel with a sound machine, which made sleep possible. We’re grateful for the experience of staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and glad it was a short visit tied to our day at Animal Kingdom park. However, based on this stay, we wouldn’t choose to return to this resort.
